As a designer ,I am a creative who prides herself on her ability to blend her skills such as problem solving ,environmental consciousness ,biophilic design and a willingness to learn to craft spaces. My design philosophy revolves around ensuring that spaces are able to relay their own individual story/purpose.
Considering the space’s history ,culture and context while ensuring that my design remains harmonious and smoothly integrates into the pre-existing environment .
Collaboration and team work is another important element that I ensure within my deign process. I believe that creating a partnership/team will help to gain various perspectives making translating not just my own vision but a team’s vision into a reality,
I am committed to delivering exceptional design experiences and creating interiors that inspire comfort and enrich the lives of those who may some day inhabit them.

Using this opportunity to not only address the high request for a 24 hour Public Loo but to further cater to Marsden’s Local Community by designing a multifunctional space .Within researching , articles were read on Marsden and the people were found to be extremely environmentally friendly, designing a space that may reflect that was important. A open conceptualized space directly outside of the local train station that would blend seamlessly into the existing natural environment was derived. As a poetry café it added a opportunity for other forms of self expression to be seen, which is reflected in the openness of the design.
It's a stumpery ,given the theme "Death" we as a group decided to turn a blind eye on the negative ,grim and depressing connotations associated with death and instead look at how it can be positive and why it is a necessary process.
A stumpery is a Gardening Technique that uses assorted old roots ,trunks and other various tree particles to simulate a forest floor while also creating a entirely new ecosystem by decaying roots eventually nourishing the micro-organisms found within the soil. The station we created was intended to also be used as a processing plant station for local tree surgeons within Manchester's City Centre who would be expected to add stumps through their own wood wastage.
My contributions to this collaborative assignment was to help to create a Model Workbench Inspired by Food Preparation .Using the Autodesk application Fusion I was able to design and print 3D printed 1:25 Scale Models of the structure using a wood based Filament and then eventually construct a Real Life Version of the Structure.
I had also investigated all plants living within our existing bed and gather any information we may be able to tie back to our theme " In Praise Of Dead Things". We wanted our bed to have a poetic message so we kept plants that were poisonous while adding trunks and Michelin to hopefully promote life, to play with the irony of it all.
Turk’s Express is a temporary Pop-up Bus Stand display which is to be assembled in both The Turks & Caicos and around Manchester’s City Centre. The goal is to shine light on the lack of a Proper Transport System within the T.C.I. The Design also ties back to the scholarship award program of The Turks and Caicos and how the United Kingdom has had an impact on the T.C.I by providing British Student’s with the chance to visit the islands for themselves so that the Turks and Caicos may in some way positively impact them.

Leveraging my honour's Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, I pursued experience with prestigious Providenciales firms. Landing a position at Hassan Lightbourne Architecture, a renowned newly established firm catering to luxury clients, proved to be the perfect fit. Thriving in a demanding environment, I honed my skills under the mentorship of Elry Lightbourne and Syed Hassan, a combined design and architecture powerhouse with over 50 years of experience. Within nine months, my proficiency in CAD drawing, design, and presentation saw a remarkable improvement.
Contributing to over 17 diverse projects, I gained invaluable practical experience in a range of design elements, including:

I played a key role in designing the functionality of our office by developing the CAD drawings for the new kitchenette and bathroom. These drawings ensured optimal use of space, placement of fixtures, and adherence to building regulations. The detailed plans facilitated a smooth renovation process, creating a more functional and comfortable workspace for everyone.
