Course Introduction
Pharmaceutical Sciences is an interdisciplinary field that bridges biology, chemistry, and medicine to study the discovery, development, formulation, delivery, and regulation of drugs and therapies. This course covers foundational concepts such as drug design and synthesis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxicology. Students will explore how drugs interact with biological systems, the principles behind dosage forms and delivery systems, and the regulatory and ethical considerations involved in bringing new medications to market. Through theoretical knowledge and practical applications, students gain insights essential for careers in pharmacy, biotechnology, research, or the pharmaceutical industry.
