Pathophysiology for Radiologic Technologists provides an in-depth exploration of the fundamental mechanisms underlying human disease processes and their radiographic manifestations. The course focuses on the physiologic changes that occur in response to various diseases and disorders, emphasizing the impact on imaging findings relevant to radiologic technology practice. Students will learn to correlate clinical symptoms with imaging appearances, understand the rationale behind different diagnostic procedures, and develop the ability to recognize abnormal patterns. Special attention is given to major body systems, such as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems, with case studies and imaging examples illustrating pathologic conditions. This knowledge enables radiologic technologists to better assist radiologists and healthcare teams in accurate diagnosis and patient care.
