Course Introduction
Human Movement Science is an interdisciplinary course that explores the physiological, biomechanical, and psychological principles that underlie human motion. Students will examine the structures and functions of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, learn how movement is produced and controlled, and analyze the factors influencing physical performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. The course integrates theories from anatomy, kinesiology, motor learning, and exercise science to provide a comprehensive understanding of human movement in both health and performance contexts.
