CorporaciĂłn Quiport Quiport is the concessionaire of the Quito airport service which includes the operation of the former Mariscal Sucre International Airport, as well as the development, financing, construction, operation, management and maintenance of the new Quito International Airport until 2041.

Connecting Quito with the World Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is a city that contrasts with harmony its historical and cultural attractions with its constant growth and modern transformation, making the city a great metropolis in which the only constant is the warmth of its people. This unique characteristic has positioned Quito as a major touristic and business destination in South America.

The Quito International Airport is the main gateway to Ecuador. It opened in 2013 as the only greenfield airport in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thanks to its technical characteristics, the airport has allowed an important growth in connectivity for Quito and the country, while offering more efficient operations for airlines and enhanced services for passengers.

Focused on Developing Connectivity The Quito International Airport, thanks to its technical characteristics and efficient management, is well prepared to continue bolstering the city and country’s air operations.

Coupled with the efficient route development strategy carefully prepared by Quiport – based on understanding the needs of airlines and showing them the connectivity opportunities in Quito – the city has undergone significant growth in air connectivity.

Since commencing operations in February 2013, 10 new airlines now operate at Quito International Airport, both on non-stop flights to new destinations and in an increased offering on existing flights to highly demanded destinations and now has 19 airlines operating from the Center of the World.

Sustained Traffic Growth From 2010 to 2020, the volume of passengers in the Quito Airport has experienced sustained growth.

In 2019, 5 million passengers traveled through the Quito Airport, continuing a healthy trend of positive numbers in international and domestic flights.

2019 was a record breaking year; we welcomed five new airlines (Air France, Air Canada Rouge, Plus Ultra, Interjet and Aeroregional), launched flights to new destinations (Paris-CDG with Air France; Toronto with Air Canada; Santiago with LATAM; and Dallas with American Airlines), bolstered our connection with existing domestic and international destinations (Madrid, Mexico City, Cuenca, Manta, Santa Rosa) and began the work for an important expansion of the airport terminal and platforms.

Growth of Cargo Operations The Quito Airport has an integrated infrastructure system which includes logistic facilities and air cargo terminal that optimizes the operations ensuring proper handling of the merchandise.

• The technical characteristics of the airport allow the operation of the largest cargo aircrafts.

• Air cargo traffic in Quito Airport continues to grow, including new arrivals such as Ethiopian Cargo and DHL. • 95% of exported products from the Quito Airport are flowers. Quito is one of the main flower exporters in Latin America and the world.

• The Mariscal Sucre Airport has been awarded in 2018 and 2019 the Air Cargo Excellence Awards with the Diamond prize in the Up to 399,999 tons/year category, Best Cargo Airport in Latin America and Best Specialized Cargo Airport in the World prizes.

Committed to the Environment Quiport carries out its operations on the basis of responsibility and respect for the environment. This motivates us to lead initiatives focused on processes and people to help the fight against climate change, strengthen the public’s environmental awareness, protect biodiversity and mitigate the potential negative impact the airport operations may have.

Quiport’s initiatives to implement fuel improvement programs, energy efficiency, use of environmentally friendly equipment, appropriate use of water and maintenance of flora and fauna conservation areas, have allowed the Quito International Airport to meet the requirements of ACI’s Airport Carbon Accreditation Program to obtain the Neutrality Certification, becoming the first international airport in Latin America and the Caribbean to achieve this important milestone.

About Corporación Quiport Quiport is the company in charge of the construction, administration, operation and maintenance of the Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito, Ecuador. Quiport is formed by important companies with vast experience in the concession and operation of airports: CCR of Brazil, Odinsa S.A. of Colombia and HAS Development Corporation (HAS-DC) of the United States.
