Tiajuana S. Smith, 46 of Grayson, GA (Formally of Aurora, IL) went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2022. She was born on July 16, 1975 to Eileen (Earlene) and Hubert (Joe) Smith in Aurora, IL. Tiajuana confessed her love for Christ at a very early age. She attended Mount Olive Church of God in Christ, growing up, and found her way to Hope and Life Church of Christ in Snellville, GA. Tiajuana attended East Aurora High School where she received her High School Diploma in 1992. With many different studies, Tiajuana attended Colorado Christian University.

Tiajuana was known as “Midgee”, a nickname that her father gave her, mocking her height. She was also known as “Yaya” to her grandchildren, and “Tia” to her loved ones. Tiajuana was the eldest of her siblings and she was definitely the protector of them all. Tiajuana was super passionate about her children, her grandchildren, life, cooking and her love for music. Tiajuana was the center of attention and her smile could light up any room. She had the biggest heart and would help anybody in time of need.

Tiajuana leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Milysha (Dareon), Aseanti (Equan) and Sean Hayden Jr., Toiana and Aliah Smith of Aurora,IL, and Nia and Noah Green of Grayson, GA., Eleven grandchildren, 3 brothers, Andre (Emily) Smith of Aurora, IL, Corey (Abigail) Smith of Oswego, IL, Jermaine Sams of Springfield, IL, two sisters, Latoya (Wayne) Smith of Naperville, IL and Elizabeth Sams of Springfield, IL, special cousins Shamara Rogers of Memphis,TN, Janail Caldwell of Chicago,IL, Cloyce McAllister III of Bronx,NY as well as a host of aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Annie Smith, her maternal grandparents, Cloyce and Anieal McAllister, her parents, Eileen Gregory (McAllister) and Hubert V. Smith, her aunt Patricia Smith, her uncle Spencer Riley, and her granddaughter My’Raya Merritt.

A letter to My Mommy You were my super hero,my wonder women,my first best friend and first roommate we grew up together we learned things together learned from things together talked to eachother through every step of life its nothing you didnt know about me i never realize how much you impacted my life until the very second i found out you left im lost for words though i have so much good to say about you,you honestly left that big cheesy smile you had on everybodys heart that same smile that i cant get out of my head that same smile that i cant wait to see again i love you mommy thanks for everything you taught me thanks for always being a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on thanks for putting your life on hold to become a mother to me thanks for being more than enough for my children i made a promise to you to and ill always be here for my siblings you can rest now and know that im going to make sure everything is taking care of I know ill see you sooner then later so save me a seat right next to you until next time Mommy - Forever Your Cheeseburger

In no shape, form nor fashion Could I deny the attachment you have in our lives You always had my back, even when I was under attack..whether I was wrong or right.

My world is alot dimmer because you were one of its brightest lights I am using all my might, to fight back this pain I feel because this emptiness can’t be replaced..but i can see you in each one of your children’s faces... it is because of you that they even know me, I not only lost my first cousin but I lost a sister, my friend and my homie.

So today I pledge my loyalty to your sister, to your brothers and your children..to preserve your memory and all it meant to me and I know those days will be hard.. but do us a favor and keep singing for God Now your life is no longer entangled we all lost a beautiful soul but Heaven gained a beautiful angel.

We will miss you baby girl and I say these words with a lump in my throat and I promise this family won’t lose hope.

You will be remembered as Tajuana, Mommy and YaYa but to me you will always be..my sister THE GOAT...
