This handbook has been developed to guide and assist you in your preparation and participation in the 2023 Quinte Home & Lifestyle Show. Please review the contents in this manual to save you time and to help eliminate any confusion at the upcoming Show. We’ve been asked by the City of Belleville to remind you that smoking is NOT permitted at any time anywhere in the building or within 9 m of any entryway. Forkliftsareprovidedbymemberauthorizedrentalcompanies. TheQHBA hastrainedandlicensedforkliftdriverswhoareauthorizedusersofthe onsiteequipment. Onlylicensedforkliftdriversmayoperatetheseonsitelift trucksandeachusermustfollowtheShow'spolicyandprocedureforsafe useofthesevehicles.
ForkliftUsePolicyManualscanbefoundinthebinderoneachforkliftentitled "FORKLIFTUSEPOLICY-QuinteHome&LifestyleShow". Authorizedusersmust reviewtheShowPolicyonforkliftsandsignthebinderpriortouse.

TheQUINTEHOME&LIFESTYLESHOWhasdevelopedareputationofbeingoneofthe mostprofessionalHomeShowsintheRegion.ThisislargelybecauseourExhibitors maintainahighstandardandhavehighqualitydisplaysthroughout theShow whichshowcasestheirbusinessprofessionally.Weunderstandthatdisplays, customerserviceandinteractionswithShowvisitorsareadirectreflectionofyour business.That’swhyweaskthatyoucontinuetoassistusinupholdingthis professionalShowstandardbyadheringtotheguidelines,rulesandrequirements oftheShow.PleasereportanymisconductorincidentsofanykindtotheShow DirectororanyotherShowStaff.
Boothswillhaveperimeterpole&draperyasprovidedbytheShowandits contractors,unlessotherwisenegotiatedwiththeCommitteeorShowDirectorin advance.Weaskthatyoupleasedonothang,pin,stapleortapeanydisplay materialstothedraperyorpoles. Pleaseprovideyourowndisplaymaterialssuch asstands,easelsetc. LightweightmaterialsmaybehungwithShooksifapproved bytheShowDirector.
AlldisplaysmustbestaffedforthefulldurationofeachdayoftheShow.Please ensurethatallboothstaffarewearingtheirExhibitorBadgesatALLTIMES— additionalcompanynamebadgesareoptional.
Exhibitorswishingtoconductdrawsorprizegiveawaysattheirdisplaymust receivepermissionfromtheShowDirector,ANDmustprovidethewinners'nameto theShowDirectorattheendoftheShow.Demonstrationsareencouragedbut mustbeconductedinasafe,professionalmannerandshouldnotinterfereinany waywiththeneighbouringExhibitors,ShowStafforvisitors.
Asnoted,thedraperyisNOTthepropertyoftheShowortheQuinteHome Builders’Association.Theuseofanyitemsthatcouldrip/tear ordamage thedraperyisprohibited.Lightweightitemsmaybehungoverthe draperypoleframeusing“S”typehooksbutrequiresShowDirector approval.AnydamagewillbebilledbacktotheExhibitor.Standardbooth sizesaregenerally10’x9’spaces. Exhibitorswithpre-builtdisplaysmust adheretothestandardexhibitformatwhichavoidsboxinginyour display,andblockingoffneighboringexhibits.Changestothisstandard arenotpermittedunlessspecialpermissionisobtainedfromtheShow Director/Committee.Displaymaterialsandsignsmustnotoverhangthe aisle,orencroachuponadjacentexhibits.
Alldisplaymaterialmustremainwithinthefloorspaceboundaries.All displaysmusthavesuitablefloorcovering,andsuchmaterialmustalso conformtotheexhibitor’sappropriatefloorspace.Allcarpetmustbe tapedtothearenafloor.Allhealthandsafetyregulationsmustbe adheredtoduringsetupandteardownofdisplays.
FOODSERVICE:
“TheFireplaceRoom”isourExhibitor’sLoungeandwillbeavailableto exhibitorsduringshowhours.Exhibitorsarewelcometorelaxandenjoy somedowntimeinthisunlicensedlounge,awayfromtheShow.The VineyardCaféwillbeopenthroughouttheShowandweencourage Exhibitorstoenjoylunchorbreaksnacksfromthisfacilityvendor.
SALEOFGOODS:
Saleofgoodswillbeallowedduringtheshow, (exceptionsapplyie.alcoholshallnotbesoldbyanyexhibitorunlessas partofourLicensedareathroughAGCO&Showprotocolsandpolicy). Pleaseusecommonsenseregardingmovinglarger,solditems.Thisshould bedoneeitherafterShowhoursorinsuchamannerasnottodamage carpet,disturbShowvisitorsorinconvenienceotherexhibitors.
MUSICAND/OROTHERSOUND:
Allexhibitorshaveanequalopportunitytopresenttheirproducts/services withoutunnecessaryinterference.Excessivenoiseisnotpermitted.Music mustnotbeplayedinyourboothunlessyouarelicensedwithSoCan.
CARPETING/FLOORCOVERING:
EachboothspaceMUSThavesuitablefloorcoveringandthisisthesole responsibilityoftheExhibitor.Allcarpet,orotheflooringMUSTbetapedto thearenafloorsecurely.Pleaseuseappropriatetape—DUCTtapeisnot permitted.CarpettilescanbepurchasedatDIYonMaitlandDr.
Oneelectricaloutletwillbesuppliedforeachexhibitorbooth.Notethat thesearesharedquadsorduos.Anyextrapowerrequirementmustbe arrangedpriortotheShowwiththeShowDirector.Theseextraoutletsare availableatanadditionalcost. AnyspecialrequestsduringShowsetup,if available,willbesubjucttoadditionalcharges. Electricaloutletsarethe propertyoftheQHBAandshouldnotberemovedfromthefacility.

SECURITY:
TheShowDirector,CommitteemembersandVolunteerswillbeonduty duringregularhoursoftheShow.Inaddition,wehavesecurityworkinginthe licensedareaoftheShow. Exhibitorsshouldexercisejudgementinputting itemsofvalueawayinasecurelocationoncetheShowcloses.Thefacility securitysystemwillbearmed,andthearenaareassecuredatnight.Inthe eventofanemergency,facilitypolicies,proceduresandpracticeswillbe enactedimmediately.Pleasereportanyincidentsorsuspiciousactivity immediatelytotheShowDirector.
TheQuinteHomeBuilder’sAssociationwilluseallreasonableprecautions fortheprotectionofthepublicandproperty,andisinsuredagainstpublic liabilityandpropertydamagearisingfromtheShow.Thisinsurancedoes notcovertheExhibitororanymaterialswhichareplacedondisplay. ExhbitorsunderstandthatdisplayingitemsofvalueisattheExhibitor’sown risk.ExhibitorsmustcarrytheirowninsurancepertheTerms&Conditionsof theShow.
