The Palestinian Mawasim carry a rich cultural heritage that has been disremembered due to Al-Nakba of 1948. Mawsim Al-Nabi Rubin was the most important cultural festival that used to occur in Palestine. Located in Al-Nabi Rubin village, south of Yafa, Mawsim Al-Nabi Rubin transformed from a traditional religious celebration into a tranquil summer resort, a place where Palestinians can escape their typical stressful day-to-day lives. This study aims at exploring, recollecting, and analyzing the socio-spatial aspects of Mawsim Al-Nabi Rubin and the village that hosted it, as well as to re-contextualize the Mawsim into an alternate reality of an independent Palestine. It investigates the emergence of diverse aspects of modernity and their integration to Mawsim Al-Nabi Rubin in the 20th century. Finally, the study speculates on what kind of architecture and spatial program would emerge from such integration if Al-Nakba never occurred and the Palestinian modernity had continued on its path.

Palestinians have carried a legacy of preforming folkloric songs since the ancient of times. In our interactive cafe, the platforms are created to carry the sense of preformance, along with an actual preformative space of the welcomed artists integrated with the kitchen. The concept was built on using platforms and walls, instead of the regular rooms to create open spaces. Preform and collect cafe, is a modern cafe that carries the tradition of Palestinian farmers as they preformed and collected fruits and vegetables in specific seasons. Our organic garden is fresh and seasonal, people can pass by and collect, the preformances of folkloric harvesting songs is essential.

Rawabi is seen as an enclave of a homogenous «city» as opposed to its lets say container city, Ramallah, the heterogeneous city. As ramallah is an enclave of heterogenity surrounded by C israeli controlled lands, Rawabi is found to be another small enclave surrounded by C lands within the bigger enclave Ramallah. The only thing connecting both cities is through a narrow road within the C lands that can be easily closed by israeli polices any time to prevent entering, which enclaves people themselves both in and out of Rawabi
