Queensland Country Health Fund has helped meet this vital need by providing a complex of 2 bedroom, fully self-contained and furnished apartments in Pimlico (Townsville) and Auchenflower (Brisbane) – just a stones throw away from the Mater Hospital in Townsville and the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane.

These apartments offer comfortable, peaceful accommodation, in pleasant surrounds exclusively for our Members needing medical attention.

McIlwraith on the Park can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests in each apartment. Roy Harris Place can accommodate up to 4 guests.

For the comfort of current and future guests, smoking is not permitted inside the apartments, on the outside balcony or patio, or in the confines of the complex.

Roy Harris Place in Pimlico Townsville, offers our Members luxury and comfort in peaceful surroundings.

A telephone is supplied in each apartment. Incoming calls can be received; local and STD calls can be made with the use of a Telstra phone card.

Only a short distance from the Mater Hospital Townsville, Roy Harris Place boasts an energy efficient design that makes the apartments not only comfortable but also environmentally friendly with sky lights to maximize natural lighting, solar panels to harness the sun’s energy, and high ceilings and louvres to maximise wind flow for cooling.

With a private patio to relax on in the afternoon, and the beautiful gardens of Anderson Park just around the corner, Roy Harris Place will make for a relaxing stay whilst you receive your medical treatment.

With all apartments being ground floor, they are easily accessible by wheelchair.

Along with all these features, the apartments are fully self-contained, providing everything you need to make your stay more comfortable. You’ll find linen, cooking utensils, microwave, dining needs, refrigerator and freezer, queen size bed, colour TV and DVD player, laundry facilities and air conditioning.

SunBus operates in the area with buses departing from Park Street in both directions, and a taxi rank is located at the Mater Hospital.

Designed with relaxation in mind, McIlwraith on the Park is situated in Auchenflower, Brisbane. Set in lush gardens, McIlwraith on the Park provides an idyllic rest spot whilst you receive medical treatment at the nearby Wesley Hospital or any of the other hospitals in the Brisbane area.

Fully-self contained and offering all the comforts of home, McIlwraith on the Park provides you with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Tastefully furnished, we provide linen, cooking utensils, microwave oven, dining needs, refrigerator, queen size bed, colour TV, DVD player, laundry facilities, airconditioning etc. Residents are asked to supply their own food, prepare any meals and keep the apartment clean and tidy during their stay.

There’s even an outdoor entertainment area complete with barbeque for get togethers with family and friends

Lock up garages are provided for each apartment and off street visitor parking is available.

McIlwraith on the Park has a lock up garage for most apartments and visitor parking is available within the complex.

A telephone is located in each apartment. Incoming calls can be received; local and reverse charge calls can be made at no cost.

Wheelchair access is available on the lower level of the apartments.

Brisbane City Council bus services, taxi ranks and the Auchenflower railway station are all within walking distance of the McIlwraith apartments.

Situated next to beautiful McIlwraith Park, which is great for those Members with children or just a place to relax and get back to nature. McIlwraith on the Park provides our Members with a peaceful and comfortable place to stay, like a home away from home.
