QUEENS' HOUSE, ROTHERHITHE. Queens' House has had a good year, with an Easter camp for a fe w boys in Buckinghamshire, a Whi tsun camp in Queens', and a summer camp for a fortnight at Brook's Bay in the S. W. of the Isle of Wight. It is worth noting that, at the last mentioned, the boys were well and amply fed for g¾d, a day each-a triumph for r.lr Bache. In London the numbers have steadily grown till there are more applicants for admission than there is room to put them in. The discipline is excellent and the atmosphere happy: but- Mr Bache is severely handicapped by the lack of regular helpers. Undergraduates have visited the House in fair numbers in vacations: but he badly needs regular assistance. If anyone who reads this lives near London and would volunteer, say, for an evening _a week, it would be of real service. Financially things are better, in spite of hard times. The men in College, by a really hard effort on the part of the Committee, have raised their subscriptions by no less than £48 on the previous year. Twelve months ago our financial year showed a deficit of nomina lly £7 10s. od., but actually more than twice that amount. Now, in spite of slightly increased expenditure which is quite unavoidable, the adverse balance is only 8/-. It is worth pointing out to _subscribers that, if a nyone will sign a form promising to subscribe a certain sum for seven years to come, except in case of his death, we can recover from the Iricome Tax a uth orities the amount which the donor paid in Income Tax on his subscription; for example a subscription of one guinea can thus be made to yield 28/- to Queens' House. If only a few more subscribers would do this, we should be relieved of much financial anxiety. C. T. Woon, Treasurer.
QUEENS' COLLEGE CLUB. During the year, 1 July, 1932, to 30 June, 1933, 39 new members joined; the total membership is now 937. The annual meeting was held in the Combination Room on 17 June, 1933, the President in the chair. T he Officers of the Club were reelected, with Mr Potts as an additional Secretary. Dr A. M. Mitchell. and Messrs R. G. C. Paterson and A. D. Browne were re-elected, and Major F. G. Harvey was elected, to serve on the

Committee . After a report from Mr Laffan, it was agreed on the motion of Mr Gorse that in 1935 and every fifth year thereafter the meeting and dinner should be held on the Friday after the end of the Easter Full Term. Mr Laffa n stated that £ 53 7. r 9s. 9d. had been received in response to the appeal issued by the Committee for a memorial to Dr Fitzpatrick ; and on his motion it was agreed that the Club should give a further £ 100. Several members expressed themselves in favour of building a hall to commemor ate Dr Fitzpatrick ; and the hope was expressed that a memorial would be placed in the Chapel by the Governing Body. It was agreed that in future meetings should be held at 6.45 p.m. The annual dinner was then held in Hall. There were present, besides the President and Fellows, Dr Regan (Hon. Fellow), Drs Robinson and Youngman , Major Harvey, Messrs Abbott, P. Allen, Atkinson, Blyth, Braine, Brandreth, Brass, Brewer, Budgett, Butler, B. Chapman, S. H. Chase, B. S.
