Hello….

As can be expected, as the year starts drawing to the end, a lot has been going on!
Saturday was a very humid day for 106 golfers to participate in the Open Stroke event and Cock of the Walk Final. Congratulations to Wally Tarticchio who continued his winning streak from January to take out the Cock of the Walk for 2024 with a score of 70 on a countback from Gavin Brown, who won the monthly medal in February. Well done also to these winners in the daily comp -

The results of the granular fertiliser combination and timing of rain is truely showing out on the course over these few weeks. The fairways are looking in good condition coming into the crazy holiday period. Which will reflect greatly on the club.
Our maintenance team is focussing on keeping everything neatly manicured for the lead-up to the end of the year.
The course becomes so busy, it's difficult for our jobs to be completed to our regular schedule. Any spare time we have over the next few weeks, we will be used to replace roped and chained areas with natural barriers. Where possible, we'll be utilising branches that have fallen from trees surrounding the course or using recycled timbers/logs, which will greatly enhance our natural surroundings.

Happy Golfing, Jake
