And there's nothing more rewarding than a giant cheque from one of QGCs greatest supporters, the Lion's Club of Queenscliff-Point Lonsdale. These wonderful volunteers presented a generous sum of $1,500 to kickstart the QGC junior golf clinics...

LET’S SHARE

Hello….

From the challenges posed by ever-changing weather to the camaraderie we enjoy after a round, each week brings its own unique moments. I like to look back at the action, recognise some achievements, and look ahead to what’s in store.

A very wet Saturday saw a small field of 55 players take on the Stableford competition. Well done to Tim Dobbyn, who came in with 38. Congratulations to these winners -

A Grade | Tim Dobbyn (19) & Lyndon Ray (13)

B Grade | Tom Crigan (25) & Scott Laidlaw (24)

A lovely warm Wednesday had 89 players taking part in the Stableford competition. John Giuffrida (29) played a blinder, coming in with 45!

Congratulations to these winners -

A Grade | James Gladman (6) & Julian Nuttall (8)

B Grade | Peter McSween (17) & Michael Randone (12)

C Grade | John Giuffrida (29) & Bruce Maddern (24)

Well done to James Gladman who won the golden shot on the 3rd and Stewart Drayton on the 9th!

Congratulations to Judy Fry (38), who won the Women’s Stableford competition on Thursday from a field of 16 with a score of 35.

Thank you to the many people who gave me feedback and suggestions regarding the men’s grade divisions. As there is no mandated structure from any governing bodies regarding grades, we have been searching for a solution that will have the best effect for our members - one that will create a positive experience for all. I have collected information from clubs in our area and met with SWGA to resolve many of these issues in time for the 2025 season.

Best wishes to the men playing in the COW (Cock of the Walk) Final on Saturday! This comp is for all the players who have won the Monthly Medal throughout the year. The ladies are looking forward to their Christmas break up on Thursday. Members will play in a fun Gentsomes game followed by lunch at 360° in Queenscliff.

Good luck to our team of 3 (Vince Luppino, Craig Warren and Barb Luppino) playing in the Neville Drayton Cup on Sunday at East Geelong.

See you on the course, Barb

A picture tells 1000 words... something Jake was short on this week as his team battled the elements, machinery breakdowns and Mother Nature herself in their efforts to give your golf its best chance...

Our Monday Volies have been busy again (still...) installing a bell at the 6th green

R i n g t h e B e l l when you're on the green so the group behind know it's safe to play on without landing a ball on your head

Jim and the hospitality cart are now hitting the fairways every Wednesday and Saturday, and, from late December to mid-January, you'll experience daily service!

Stay refreshed with a wide selection of onboard beverages, such as ice-cold beer, cider, RTD, Powerade, water, and soft drinks— just what you need for those sunny days.

Feeling hungry? Enjoy delicious options from the kitchen, including salad rolls, sandwiches, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, chips, and chocolate bars.

Need something extra? Jim's got you covered! He can bring essentials from the clubhouse, like golf gloves, hats, sunscreen, and more. Hopefully, those “more balls, please!” requests stay to a minimum.

Look Out for the Big Yellow Cart! Look Out for the Big Yellow Cart!
