A new generation of golfers is heading to our island course on Monday with our inaugural booked-out Junior Golf Clinic taking centre stage from 9:00 AM. We're excited...

It has been another big week for numbers of people going through each and I commend Jake and his team on such top condition. It has been fantastic golfers from across our state enjoying The diversity of players has brought is heartening to witness the camaraderie and sportsmanship shared by everyone. It’s times like this spirit of the game.

Saturday was the first round

Congratulations to John Joubert with a field of 121players. And Darren Shapter took out Golden Shots on the 3rd following winners -

A Division - Marty Christensen (9) & Michael Havelberg (2)

B Division – Peter Woodruff (14) & Bailey Ash (14)

C Division – Peter McSween (18) & Dean Kelly (19)

D Division – John Joubert (29) & Rob Tehan (25)

On Wednesday we had 148 players Stableford Competition. First place was countbacks required! Congratulations score of 39. Well done again to Brian Heron for his eagle on the 13th and James Gladman for his eagle on the 17th. Wayne Pettigrove and Ian Warren won Golden Shots on the 3rd and 9th respectively. Well done to the following winners -

B Division – Matthew Gibbon (17) & Ben Thomson (17)

C Division – Brian Heron (19) & Alan Merriman (21)

It has been great having so many ladies participate in the Thursday ladies’ competition. Congratulations to Siobhan Lyons winning with a score of 36 this week. I must acknowledge the fabulous win of Chris McManus in the previous week with a score of 46!

A reminder to our lady members, I have posted a sign-up sheet for the SWGA Challenge Bowls and events for 2025 on our noticeboard – please put your name next to events you are interested in playing in (Challenge Bowls require a team of 3).
