From the Clubhouse
What a great success last Friday was!
I’d like to just start out by thanking again all the volunteers, players and staff that put in so much effort to make the day seamless
The ‘Breakfast Shift’ - thank you for coming in early and cooking the Bacon & Eggs for breakfast we heard that they ‘went down a treat’!
The ‘Lunch Shift’ - thank you for Plating and Serving and even getting in and doing the washing up!
(I wish there was photos!)
Another Huge thank you needs to go to our Amazing Sponsors - Luv a Duck & the Vue Grand.
Luv a duck exceeded expectations with delectable duck and salad all cooked up by Angie at The Vue Grand who once again supported us Kath at the Vue Grand is never slow in coming forward to help us or other organisation in the Borough
Thanks to Paul for running the Putting comp this year & Congratulations & also thank you to Ian steer who won the putting and donated half his winnings back!!!

the Men’s Shed benefited very well on the NTP 9th hole and Queenscliff Lions will benefit from being a chosen charity
Cottage by the sea had a director play in Liam Petrie and he enjoyed the day with his team.
This year our Fundraiser was held on International Woman’s day and we were so pleased to have so many Woman play in the event.
A very successful auction with medallion club tickets and a super box at Grand Prix ticket selling well!
Each year this event goes from strength to strength and is becoming a firm fixture on a lot of golfers calendar Now we can’t wait for 2025!
The heat kept a lot of regulars away from Sunday’s Music day - however those that ventured out (and into the cool airconditioned clubhouse!) were treated to a fantastic music set by ‘The Substitutes’. Small but Sweet - and a lot of fun
Happy Golfing!

The Course Report.....
The past week we had a slight outbreak of disease in our greens This was due to the humidity over night that came with the high temperature weather. We took action soon as there was any sign present on the greens. We were prepared for this as we knew with the hot weather coming we would be watering a lot which also promotes disease if there is moisture in the greens
You may have noticed the foundation is down for the new pathway on the 13th We have removed 2 dead stumps and put down the base of the path The older path was coming too much into play for golfers and the tree had been taking a few hits from golf carts with its low branches The old path will be decommissioned in the coming weeks. This will be re turfed where in play and planted out with some plants.
We look forward to some cooler weather ahead coming into Autumn now It’s been a very long summer for my staff and I dealing with Irrigation issues with no rain Thanks for being understanding of these issues and any inconvenience to play.
Hope everyone has a great weekend golfing out on the course
Jake
