Woodhaven vexed as subway work runs a year late PAGE 4 The Metropolitan Transportation Authority initially said its construction work around the Jamaica Avenue subway station above 85th Street and Forest Parkway would be done one year ago, in August 2025. Now it projects it’ll be the end of 2026. While the work is necessary, it has gone on for “a very long time” and is having a negative impact on the ground, say area leaders who look forward to its completion.
