HARMONY RAG CAMP CHAOS!!
As a relatively new member of Coastline Harmony, appearing in my first show, ‘Camp Chaos’, was amazing. Dressing up in ridiculous costumes has not been a prominent part of my life, so this had to be good or my reputation as a responsible adult was going to disappear fast! All ten of my visitors enjoyed watching the show, which was just as well, because shortly before the evening performance started my realisation took hold that they would all be out there! They all said that we looked wonderful, and were obviously really enjoying ourselves and couldn’t believe what wonderful sounds they were hearing. The highlight for me was our ABBA finale, with the audience clapping us onto the stage to the sound of Dancing Queen. Everyone
were going to come together as a cohesive unit and it really was going to be ‘Camp Chaos’. Obviously order was achieved because even from the wings you could feel the good vibes from the audience. Probably not this year I’m told but who knows what next year will bring, ‘Sound of Music’, ‘Cabaret’, you never can tell… “It’s Showtime” again.

It really brought it home to me how much the audience was enjoying the show and seemed to be totally immersed in it. There was obviously a lot of work that went on behind the scenes, of which I, as a humble chorus member, had no knowledge, so thanks to all those who made it run so smoothly. Having never experienced a technical rehearsal before I was somewhat panicked in the morning because there seemed to be quite a lot of ‘chaos’ (excuse the pun) but probably just my Gay Creasey imagination. I couldn’t believe that we Coastline Harmony
