Céline Shen (b. 1988, France) is a Paris-based multidisciplinary artist, designer, and researcher whose work spans textiles, performance, sensory installation, and immersive media. Grounded in a background in philosophy, dance, and fashion design, Shen combines rigorous conceptual inquiry with embodied practice. Her work engages critical art-historical and sociological questions concerning the aura of the object, mass reproduction, authentication, domesticity, and the transformative potential of design. Drawing on the legacy of 1990s "design for disassembly," Shen investigates human– machine interfaces in an era of digital ubiquity. She collaborates regularly with leading scientific and technological research laboratories in Paris, integrating artificial intelligence and immersive tech with choreography and visual art to build transformative sensory environments.
