Noel Claude Noel has worked for the Community Services Department since 2007, when he began as a Recreation Leader. In the nine years of his employment, Noel has worked in most programs and at most centers, but has focused on the teen and senior programs. His dedication to teen programming has helped developed it into what it is today. In addition to his dedication to the Community Services Department, Noel has also provided marketing and design support for many City Departments. Noel has proved to be an extreme asset to the Recreation Division. Noel was an essential part of the City of Colton website launch and continues to offer technical support to other departments while also maintaining Community Services webpages. In the last two years, Noel has poured his time and energy into the senior participants at the Hutton Center. Noel has sought to bring changes and improvements to the 50+ Club programs that benefit regular participants, and he regularly goes above and beyond to assist senior activities. One area which holds Noel’s mark of commitment and passion is the P.A.W.S. in the Park Event. For the last two years, he has helped grow the event through his commitment to bringing wellness and support to our local four-legged friends. Throughout Noel’s employment with the City of Colton, his care for teens and seniors, dependability, creativity, self-motivation, and willingness to grow have been consistent. We thank Noel for his dedication and look forward to his continued service to the Colton Community.
Due to the mandated minimum wage increase and the corresponding increase in cost of goods, select fees have been increased and approved by City Council on 5/2/2017. We will continue to analyze and adjust fees to ensure we are continuing to provide an excellent level of service to the community.

Colton Parks & Recreation Foundation Mission Statement
The purpose of the Foundation is to aid, sponsor, promote, advance, and develop park and recreation opportunities for all citizens of Colton.
FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS RECREATION SCHOLARSHIPS
GOLDEN YEARS PROGRAM
This is the original Parks & Recreation Foundation program. The Program funds scholarships to income-eligible Colton families for children to attend City-sponsored programs that they otherwise might not be able to afford.
The Golden Years Program utilizes funding to promote programs, facilities, and services for Colton’s senior citizen population. Health services, nutrition programs, group classes, and special events are examples of programs geared toward our “more experienced” residents.
The Recreation Scholarship Program has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships to hundreds of children since 2003. Scholarships are available to Colton Residents for youth CSD programs. Proof of residency and income verification required. Applications are available at the Gonzales Community Center.
Other programs include: • PARK ENRICHMENT • YOUTH EMPOWERMENT • FRIENDS-IN-NEED PROGRAM
HISTORIC COLTON PROGRAM
The Historic Colton Program makes funds available to support City programs which celebrate Colton’s rich history, dating to 1887. Current programs include the annual City Birthday Celebration and the Colton Sports Hall of Fame.
All Funding collected by the Foundation directly benefits the Colton community. You may contribute to the Foundation as a whole, or designate a specific program that you wish your donation to benefit.
