Farrell is healed—body and soul!

God worked through you to perform a modern-day miracle!

In a tiny, remote village in Indonesia lives 74-yearold Farrell.*

Many years ago, thanks to faithful brothers and sisters in Christ like you who gave to support missionaries around the world, Farrell turned from his Muslim faith and became a Christian.

But the Christian life has not been easy for Farrell.

When he was a young boy, his parents inserted an amulet called an “opo-opo” (a small charm) into his body. They believed it would protect Farrell from evil spirits, danger and disease.

Yet, throughout his life, Farrell believes the “opo-opo” had the opposite effect—that it was actually making him sick. This belief deepened 19 years ago when he mysteriously became paralyzed.

Over the years, Farrell has met with many priests, asking them to pray for him—that the evil would be removed from his body. The priests tried time and again, yet nothing worked.

YOU helped shine the Light of Christ into Farrell’s life

Through your support, Farrell was visited by QHM gospel workers. QHM provides motorcycles so gospel workers are able to reach extremely remote areas with swampy, muddy and mountainous terrain—just like Ferrell’s village.

One day, Pastor Thando, a ministry partner with a QHM motorcycle, visited Farrell’s village. Bunga,* Farrell’s wife, invited him to visit her husband and pray for him.

Pastor Thando went to Farrell’s bedside and read God’s promises from the Bible and gave a special prayer, asking for the power of darkness to come out of his body. In the following days, he gathered a group together to pray for Farrell, and visited him regularly to read scriptures and pray. With each visit, Farrell felt stronger.

God worked a miracle— through your support!

On September 20, 2022, Farrell declared that the power of darkness within him had disappeared! He praised God for His power over darkness!

In October, he asked to be baptized along with his wife, Bunga. (But remember, Farrell was paralyzed, so the elders had to carry Farrell into the baptismal waters.)

As Farrell was washed clean through baptism, he came up out of the water renewed!

But more than spiritual renewal—Farrell received physical renewal too! He was healed! Farrell stood up and walked out of the baptismal waters with no assistance. Praise the Lord for this miracle!

Thank you for bringing Light to dark places!

Today, Farrell and his wife are mighty witnesses to the power of God. They are enthusiastic about sharing the gospel with everyone they meet.

What a privilege it is to help bring the Light into dark corners of the world. Praise God for the privilege of sharing Jesus, the true Light of the world!

Motorcycles help bring the gospel to remote villages like Farrell’s!

The “beautiful message” you help send out into the world

Kamnika* is a 15-year-old girl we recently met during our outreach in her Hindu community.

“I am so thankful for the gospel workers who visited our community and shared their blessings with us,” Kamnika said.

With their own funding, QHM partners provided shoes for the children of our community and shared a meal with us, which we are really thankful for. They also installed a hand-pump so we can have access to clean water. Before, we had to go far away to fetch water in heavy earthen pots, which we had to carry on our heads back to our homes.

“Above all, we are thankful for the surprising and beautiful message that there is a big God in heaven who loves us very much. This is a new message for us. We want to learn more about this big God and His Son Jesus and how we can be saved!”

Every good gift

Scripture says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).

I am so grateful to God—and you—for the financial gifts that provide Bibles, children’s ministry materials, motorcycles and chapels. These “designated” (restricted) gifts provide funding for critical aspects of our ministry. But often, we get requests for an urgent need or an unforeseen project that falls outside of these restricted funds. While we do our best to plan ahead for every need, we can’t foresee everything.

This is why “undesignated” gifts are so important! I’m grateful for our supporters who entrust us as stewards, and this way we can get funds quickly to where it’s needed most. Whether designated or undesignated, thank you for trusting us with your donations for the gospel. God is doing amazing things through you!
