We are fortunate to have all our facilities on-site meaning students can seamlessly combine academic studies and sporting pursuits.

Our main aim is for our students to be happy at school. Happy students will work hard, and play hard, and will become the best version of themselves.

FIND YOUR PLACE Our students are a gloriously diverse group.

About half of those in Year 7 will join us from the Lower School and the rest will come from schools all over Bristol and beyond.

With different talents and passions, they will be warmly welcomed and challenged in all aspects of their education.

REACH YOUR GOALS Our students are exceptionally proud of their school and this is always evident in the team spirit displayed on the sports field. For those who excel at sport there are many opportunities for developing performance but everyone gets their moment to be part of Team Colston’s.

In 30 acres of on-site sports facilities, self-esteem and self-belief grow alongside healthy bodies and minds.

SPARK YOUR CURIOSITY We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to find their creative side. All students benefit from our first-rate creative spaces whether that is our dedicated art studios, music technology classroom, design technology workshop, fully equipped theatre and so much more.

We stage a number of high-quality productions each year with opportunities for everyone to get involved and individual music lessons are taught by our team of specialist peripatetic music teachers.

DEVELOP YOUR PASSION With over 50 clubs to get involved in each week, the Colston’s experience is designed to allow students to find and develop their passions beyond the classroom.

Our students benefit from a huge array of opportunities to develop teamwork and leadership skills.

From an exciting array of activities in our Combined Cadet Force to diving in to new experiences with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, our future leaders are challenged and inspired to acquire real world skills.
