Summer in the Carolinas. Does it get any better? I really don't think it does. Obviously, with the extenuating circumstances that have occurred over the past months, there are a lot of unknowns and uncertainties, and a lot of things that have changed. But, enjoying summertime, for us doesn't have to be one of those things. We are lucky to live in such a great area with so many opportunities. In just several hours you can go explore the Lowcountry of South Carolina. A couple more hours and you can be lounging on a remote beach on the Outer Banks. Go in the opposite direction, and you're in the mountains of the Blue Ridge. Since we dedicated this year's travel issue to the former, we're going to dedicate our summer issue to the latter. This issue's Exclusives are all about exploring the hills, valleys, rivers, and trails of our Western Carolina mountains.
