f you love to spend your days and nights in the great outdoors, but don’t love to shake out the sleeping bags from your last wildland adventure and pack up the camper, the mountain bikes, the kayaks and all the other gear you’ll want to use, plus set up your campsite and

try to find all the poles for the kids’ tent, AutoCamp may have the more carefree and way more comfortable solution you are looking for. Imagine waking to the sounds of wildlife and watching the sun rise through a majestic forest as you sip your latte in the soft, fresh bathrobe somebody else supplied for you. This is the experience AutoCamp would like

to bring to Arizona residents and visitors. Currently, AutoCamp is proposing its high-quality, low-impact outdoor experience for the modern traveler on a 160-acre site known as Copper Ranch, just west and north of Williams. The proposal before the Coconino County Planning and Zoning Division requests a zone change from general to resort commercial for the property of tall pines, grassy

meadows and mountain views, about an hour’s drive from the Grand Canyon. “The AutoCamp experience is unique in that guests don’t need a car filled with gear or even previous camping trip know-how under their belt. We make enjoying the outdoors accessible to everyone,” said AutoCamp Senior Acquisitions Manager Bernie Corea. Continued on page 39

iting that Williams is a “cute little town where everyone has your back,” musician and entrepreneur April White is about to open her newest highly curated business adventure, Cowgirls & Fairies. Located downtown, Cowgirls & Fairies is an eclectic women’s boutique that White refers to as whimsical and experiential, bringing big city shopping to a small town. “I will be offering a creative com-

bination of luxury and rugged feminine Boho chic, desert cowgirl dresses, Western designer accessories, hats, shoes and boots, belts, purses, jewelry, leather goods, inspirational framed art and soaps.” Designer juice-soda hybrids and difficult-to-get Leaves of Leisure tea will also be included in her inventory. Inspired by Draw Tool singer and lyricist Maynard James Keenan, the immersive store will embody White’s ethereal pop music project, “Violet and the Sun.” “My music will play

throughout the store, adding an other-worldly backdrop to my boutique,” she said. “Keenan opened a store called Puscifer in Jerome. His gift shop and barber shop reflects Keenan’s musical style. With Cowboys & Fairies, I saw an opportunity to create a store that would embody my musical sensibilities in a similar way.” The Cowgirls & Fairies store will feature a MoMA PS1-esque art installation on the roof of her store. “It’s called ‘Beyond the View’ and evokes images of a magical celestial cloud during sunset.” “I’m super excited about Cowgirls & Fairies,” said Continued on page 39
