Whilst it’s fair to say the construction industry has been historically slow to adopt technology, it’s great to read in this month’s issue how both Ackroyd Lowrie and Fonn are setting the pace of change. In his cover feature (page 40), Oli Lowrie talks of marginal gains in the same way an Olympic athlete looks to improve performance by making small adjustments to clothing, diet, equipment etc. Oli’s firm has successfully made such a tweak by adopting the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to take clients (two Qandor members are namechecked) and planners on a journey to bring the plans and schemes to life.
