With more than 9 years of architectural design and coordination experience within NJ-based architectural studios and one of the biggest design and engineering companies on CIS markets I was striving to bring high-performance, intelligent, environmentally friendly, and aesthetic design solutions to our clients and their projects.

During my university classes, I was using ArchiCAD BIM software to quickly manage my drawings, 3d model, and renderings. For now, I’ve obtained more than four years of extensive BIM Revit experience working on multiple projects in New York and New Jersey, which allows me to quickly create and update project drawings, schedules, options, phases, datasheets, coordinate clashes with consultants, etc.

U.S. PROJECTS

80,185 SF core&shell project for warehouse building at 537 Columbia Street in Red Hook was designed by the Ware Malcomb team and with postapproval amendments will become a major distribution center for grocery delivery service. The building comprises a warehouse and cold storage facilities along with an office and dining area on the mezzanine level. It was designed as a steel fire-rated structure with precast concrete and insulated metal panels as an envelope. Working with the PM, I was responsible for amendments to the full code analysis, design coordination with the Client’s team and all the consultants, redlining the drawings for the production studio, and updating the BIM model to fulfill the objections from the local authorities.

110,567 SF self-storage complex comprises 10 buildings on the same lot and was developed simultaneously with a similar three-building project in Budd Lake, NJ for the same Client. Every complex includes a three-story main storage building with offices and drive-in areas and single-story storage buildings with conditioned/unconditioned units. The main building is designed as an SS-20 framing structure and the single-story facilities are designed with a light-gauge cold-formed framework, The “Janus” system was utilized for the partitions and roll-up doors. The main challenge for this project was to deal with area limitations and specific fire protection requirements for such storage facilities. As a part of the Ware Malcomb team, I was involved in presentation development, full code analysis, design coordination with consultants and the production studio.

18,000 SF building is located on two lots: the corner lot between Randall Avenue and Coster Street and the interior lot facing Faile Street. The project was challenged by steep street conditions, strict setbacks, and parking requirements by the Zoning Resolution. As a part of CCW team I was involved in the development of schematic and approval drawings, Building & Zoning Code, NYC 2016 Energy Conservation Code Analysis, work with DOB objections, preparation of presentation materials for the Client.

Schuster Meats company is looking to move from the Bronx to the 60,000 SF existing renovated facility in Lodi, NJ. The existing building will be partially demolished and raised from 17 to 35 feet high. The new building will become a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) compliant food processing and storage facility. As a part of the CCW team I was involved in the development of demo and construction drawing sets, schematic presentation diagrams, Building and Energy Code analysis.

South Market Loft development project aims to create work & live residence for creative individuals and entrepreneurs. The existing 5 story industrial building will be renovated into a residential complex with mezzanines in 63 dwelling units, recreation spaces on the rooftop and restaurant, fitness, business areas at the ground floor. This project is a significant milestone in the Passaic River Walk development program. As a part of the CCW team I was involved in the development of schematic, design development, and construction drawings sets, ADA and Energy Code analysis.

Bareburger Restaurant franchise was looking to move to 3,147 SF existing building in the town of Westfield, NJ, and implemented feasibility studies for roof terrace addition. As a part of the CCW team I was involved in the site survey, development of the demo, schematic and design development sets, presentation materials for the Client and Planning Board.

Working as an Intern before graduation and after as an Architect and Design Coordinator, I’ve become a part of big international design and management teams involved in large-scale foreign investment industrial, infrastructural and civil projects. As a benefit, I’ve got an understanding of the full design and construction process, experience of collaboration with different foreign and local professionals managing multiple design and engineering challenges to fulfill the Client’s expectations about timing and quality.

EUROPEAN PROJECTS

Terminal “D” is the newest terminal, which was officially opened on May 28, 2012 for Euro 2012 soccer championship. The terminal is 1,151,740 SF, it’s the largest terminal complex in Ukraine. Schematic Design was elaborated by Dutch and Japanese architects. Tebodin Ukraine CFI was responsible for design adaptation, approval and construction drawings, construction administration, and management. It was my first project in Tebodin team as an intern and fresh-graduate. I was developing construction details and schedules (doors, windows, finishes, etc.).

Galleria Minsk is one of the largest and modern multi-functional shopping and entertainment centers in Belarus. 20 story 772,633 SF shopping mall and hotel building with 4 story of 287,267 SF smart garage building are located in the downtown of Minsk City. The building has a reinforced concrete frame with post-tension parts to provide wide structural spans and a low beam profile. The conceptual design was developed by architects from Latvia and interior design was elaborated by a British studio. As a part of Renaissance Construction design team, I was responsible for the development of approval and construction drawings, shop-drawings and presentation materials for the Client, site supervision and punch listing, collaboration with all project participants.

Immochan Shopping and Entertainment Center as an extension of the existing Auchan Mall comprises 150 shops on 2 floors of 516,667 SF located above the parking area. It was the first BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certified project in Ukraine.

The structure was made of post-tension concrete to provide wide structure spans and low beams profile. Schematic design was developed by French architects. It was one of my first post-graduation projects, where I’ve learned project adaptation, construction administration & detailing, approval drawings development.

First phase 645,834 SF of Auchan-Immochan Shopping and Entertainment Center located in Kyiv, Ukraine comprises 1st floor parking and utility spaces with groceries, boutiques, and a loading zone on the 2nd floor. The building has a precast concrete framework with cast-in-place parts.

Using my experience of working on another Auchan project I became a part of the managing company BEG Ingenierie, which was responsible for design and construction management. As a Design Coordinator and Document Controller, I was involved in all stages of design documentation approvals and control, working directly with the Client, designers, consultants, technical supervisors, manufacturers, and contractors.

Cargill Novoanninskiy oil extraction plan in the Volgograd Region of Russia is one of the largest innovative projects of the company. It is located in a region known for high sunflower harvests. The production process meets the highest safety and health requirements. As a part of the Tebodin Ukraine design team, I was working on construction drawings for multiple buildings of the complex, including Power House, Preparation, Pelletizing, Transformer Station, Office Building. It gave me an understanding of design for industrial buildings with explosive-relief and anti-static features.

THESIS PROJECTS

My Bachelor’s Thesis project is located in Vorzel Town, close to Kyiv City. This area is popular by its dense forests and places of recreation. The project was a part of the town’s development program established by local authorities and supported by the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.

The building of 80,633 SF total area consists of three blocks with different functional purposes: a school of painting and sculpture, school of music and dance, school of photo and video art. It’s situated on three floors and connected by galleries at the second floor level to form a consistent composition.

The materials were chosen to make a harmonious look of the building in the forest: wooden cladding, white plaster, natural stone, and large glazing for proper daylighting and transition between forest and interior. Windows and curtain walls are protected by such shadings as adjustable louvers and deep cornices. The main block has a courtyard covered by a glass cupola.

My Master’s Thesis project is located in Kyiv City on the left bank of Dnipro River close to the downtown, airport, and all business districts, meanwhile this area was under development and could become a great park and recreation destination for the city residents.

The building of 1,316,609 SF consists of 3 parts: laboratories (work area) – has an untypical corridor layout scheme that provides a convenient connection between all scientific units of the center; administrative – center’s staff offices, located between the “ribbon” and tower; and business block – with commercial companies engaged in high-tech production, where commercialization of the scientific developments will be implemented, this part is developed in the form of a classic business tower. The shape of the “ribbon” base was developed with the purpose to provide a cozy courtyard with access to daylight, protection from north winds, and efficient placement for roof photovoltaic panels.
