Introducing our new uniform collection

From old to new: making the change work for you It’s time for our families to start thinking about when you would like to swap over to the new Pymble uniform, now that all items in the new range are available to purchase from 12 October 2026. Your daughter’s three options are:

2

1.

Swap over to the new uniform anytime during 2027 and 2028 (the transition period).

2.

Swap over to the new uniform for the first day of Term 1 2029 (when the new uniform becomes compulsory for all students).

3.

Continue to wear the old uniform until she either grows out of it or graduates in 2027 or 2028 (the transition period).

Fabric, manufacturing and recycling New fabrics have been meticulously selected for quality, wearability and durability. A high percentage of natural wool woven with polymer means that all tailored items have stretch for movement and are comfortable to wear. • Shirts are made from BCI poly cotton – sustainably sourced cotton with two per cent stretch for comfort. • Skirts are a poly wool blend – recycled Polyester with Australian wool and two per cent stretch for comfort • Dresses are recycled poly viscose • Pants are lightweight poly wool with stretch The high-quality materials ensure that the uniform can be passed down to younger family members or onsold. This reduces our environmental footprint and minimises the financial outlay for our families whilst offering more choice and flexibility for our girls. We have carefully chosen a new manufacturing partner with Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) and Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) accreditation to ensure no child labour or slavery is used in production. All fabrics are also sourced sustainably and recycled materials used wherever possible. The College will provide a recycling option via the Uniform Shop where clean, used uniforms will be collected to be recycled and re-purposed.

Frequently Asked Questions Why is the College updating the uniform? • Student requests for comfort, pants and improved fabrics • A streamlined collection that is trans-seasonal and can be worn year-round • A more sustainable and refined collection that is environmentally sensitive • A uniform that represents better value for money for parents over their children’s time at the College • An elevated aesthetic that positively represents the College and that students can wear with pride How have the uniforms improved? High-quality fabrics have been used for all items. The new blazer, jumper, dresses, skirts, skorts and pants are tailored in a superior and soft wool-blend material with elastane for stretch and comfort. The shirts are made from a superior cotton-blend fabric to correct the sheerness of the current shirts. Do we have to buy the new uniform immediately? No. The new uniform will have a two-year transition time to allow families to maximise the life and use of the current uniform. The new uniform will be required for all girls by Term 1 2029. Which pieces are compulsory for Junior School? The core Junior School uniform is trans-seasonal and is worn all year. 19

Frequently Asked Questions Is the Pymble sport uniform changing too? Yes, the Pymble sport uniform will be updated by 2028. We will continue to update you on our progress. Has the College considered the cost impact on families? Yes, the cost to families has been carefully considered. The College has kept uniform prices stable for 10 years with no increases despite significant inflation and increased material and shipping costs. The updated core uniform for both Junior and Secondary School has been designed to be worn all year, which provides improved value for families. There is no obligation for families to purchase any optional uniform items. Additionally, the upgraded materials used in all items have been selected to improve quality and durability whilst being mindful of cost. This will extend the longevity of each piece and ensure they can be passed down to sisters in good condition. The two-year transition period gives parents time to prepare and plan for the purchase of the uniform and ensures that current pieces will be used for an appropriate amount of time. The current uniform pieces will also be sold through the Uniform Shop at a reduced price. Has the College considered ethical and sustainable fabrics and practices? We have carefully chosen our manufacturing partner who is SMETA and WRAP accredited, ensuring no child labour or slavery is used in production. Our fabrics are also sourced sustainably and recycled materials used wherever possible. What will happen to the current uniforms? The College is committed to minimising waste and optimising the use of the current uniform. A recycling option will be available at the Uniform Shop where clean, used uniforms will be collected to be recycled and re-purposed. This service will be available to all families who wish to use it.
