We have made it to the halfway point of the year and our ‘Love It’ program is bigger and better than ever! Please do embrace and enjoy a program of fun and fulfilling activities that have been put together especially for you. We want you all to participate and get the most out of what is on offer and most importantly to have fun. You will find that there are a host of activities but please, if none of them tickles your fancy, don’t hesitate to put forward your own suggestions so that we can make them happen.

The magic of Christmas comes alive in July here in Boarding. Our catering team have designed a super-special meal filled with traditional Christmas favourites and a few surprises. Join in on the bon bon jokes and trivia and enjoy the magic of an early Christmas.

Boarders get Baking is back for another term. Mrs Wiedemann has quite the selection of treats to ensure Friday afternoons are the favourite time of the week for our Boarders. WHAT Year 12 Dessert and Games Night
Take a well earned break before you start your HSC Trial examinations and come together to celebrate how far you have all come. We have a mixture of treats and flavours for you to create your own unique desserts - think Cold Rock. Each dessert needs a name!
While you enjoy your dessert, the Lang staff will help run some games — charades, karaoke, or maybe pictionary.

Today we will be doing something a little bit different in Boarders Get Baking. We will be joined by Miss Gardiner, and we will be heading down to the Yarning Circle to bake Johnny cakes with native spices by the open fire. What a wonderful way to celebrate NAIDOC week as we enjoy the process of cooking and learning about the history behind the significance of NAIDOC week.

Head to Barangaroo to participate in an Aboriginal Cultural Walk led by a guide. The tour will immerse you in the native history of Warrane (Sydney Harbour) and the importance of the land to Australia’s Aboriginal heritage and its significance to the clans of the Gadigal people. We will travel to Barangaroo via train and return to the College by early afternoon.

As part of the Pymble and Gordon Uniting Community, our girls will join with the congregation for a wonderful celebration of confirmations and baptisms. This will be followed by a delicious brunch in the Boarders’ Dining Room at 10.30am. This is a compulsory event for all Boarders. No leave will be permitted until after brunch.

Head to Allianz Stadium to watch the West Tigers take on the Sea Eagles. The Tigers will ROAR as the stadium comes alive when they take the field. Wear your team colours. The games played at Allianz Stadium this weekend have a significant meaning called Gadhu Gathering. This is a special three-day festival celebrating rugby league and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Are you a fan of TikTok? With 1.2 million views the giant Biscoff cookie pie is a recipe trend that we have to try. Born in 1932, thanks to Belgian baker Jan Boone Sr, Lotus Biscoff emerged as caramelised biscuit made from natural ingredients. It pairs perfectly with coffee and is allegedly a combination of ‘biscuit’ and ‘coffee’.

Starting with traditional games and lantern parade and followed by a delicious Chinese feast, it is assured to be a night to remember.

The wait is finally over! It seems like just yesterday when we celebrated the Garden Party and here we are again!. This is one of the best days of the year at Pymble. The sun is always shining, and it is a wonderful opportunity for our families to give back to the community. Girls will be rostered on to help at the Boarders’ Stall and we have plenty of parents who are excited to join together and celebrate what it is to be a Pymble Boarder.

The Year 12 Boarders’ farewell and celebration event is a bittersweet gathering, that encapsulates the journey, friendships and growth experienced during their time together. Emotions run high as the Boarders reminisce about shared adventures, late-night conversations and the support they provided one another throughout their Boarding years. With a mix of nostalgia and excitement for the future, the Year 12 Boarders farewell and celebration event becomes a cherished memory, a testament to the lasting connections forged during their time as part of a close-knit Boarding family.
If you have an exciting activity in mind, get together with a group of friends and put together a proposal. Whether it’s a night out at a favourite restaurant, a trip to a local market or an inner-city expedition, get your ideas down on paper, suggest a date and we will do our best to make it happen.
We would love you to invite a friend from the day school to stay over on a Friday or Saturday night. Propose some dates to your Head of House and make it happen!

Just because it is winter, it doesn’t mean that we should neglect our feet. Gather some friends and have a pedicure session in house. The Houses have a selection of colours to choose from.
Our Wet Weather back up plan for the term is a trip to Bondi Junction Shopping Centre. Check out the plethora of shops and places to eat. It is a one-stop shop for shopping, fun and relaxation.
