After our popular and well received Snowfari in 2020, this year will take you to a landscape full of dinosaurs – Snowsaurus! The magical winter Snowsaurus trail will see visitors following in some enormous footsteps as they track down spectacular dinosaurs roaming the grounds. Discover incredible statues including a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex! What is the meaning of the word Stegosaurus? What did an Allosaurus eat? And… why did the dinosaur cross the road? Find out with our Snowsaurus activity book that accompanies the trail, full of facts, jokes, puzzles and more. You can come along and meet him in his cosy festive sitting room in the courtyard, have a quick chat and receive a small present. Father Christmas will see 8 children per slot. Your visit will be within the 30-minute time slot you book so you may have a short wait when you arrive. In order to help keep Father Christmas fit and healthy for Christmas Eve, please note that we will be practising social distancing in his sitting room. 27 DECEMBER WALK OFF THE CHRISTMAS TURKEY - POST CHRISTMAS HIKE The March Hare, 2-4 South Hill, Guildford. A lovely winter hike to brush off the Christmas cobwebs. Dust off the cobwebs and work off the Christmas turkey on this beautiful 5 mile circular jaunt around Guildford hosted by DG Outdoor Adventures. This scenic walk will take in some great views around the local countryside and will finish at the Keep in Castle Street with a celebratory mulled wine, mulled cider or one of their many famous gin and tonics. The walk is open to people of all ages and although not too long there is a small but steep hill halfway through. The walk should take no more than 3 hours but it does depend on the speed of the group. Please make sure you are using appropriate clothing and footwear as it will probably be cold and quite possibly damp underfoot. Also bring some nibbles for the journey and some fluids. Cold weather can be as dehydrating as the Summer. This walk is dog friendly but you will be advised on areas where dogs will need to be put on a harness.
