It is a special experience to discover the beautiful nature of Zeewolde from the water. The Blaue Diamant and the Stille Kern are both ideal excursion destinations for nature enthusiasts. In canoes you can paddle for kilometres through a particularly diverse landscape: through Western Europe’s largest deciduous forest - the Horsterwold - or through the beaver’s habitat. The beaver is rarely sighted during the day. But due to its incredible ability to gnaw wood, you will be able to see clearly where it lives. The environmentally friendly and sustainably designed banks of the various bodies of water are edged with reeds and aquatic plants. They provide innumerable birds and amphibians with appropriate habitats along the water and in it. It is a true paradise for everyone who loves nature - and a very special feeling to be moving 3 m under sea level the whole time.

Mit Kanus lässt es sich hier kilometerweit durch eine sehr abwechslungsreiche Landschaft paddeln: Etwa durch Westeuropas größten Laubwald - den Horsterwold - oder durch das Habitat der Biber. Der Biber wird sich tagsüber nur selten zeigen. Doch dank seines enormen Nagevermögens werden Sie gut sehen können, wo er jeweils lebt. Die naturfreundlichen und nachhaltig gestalteten Ufer des Gewässers sind gesäumt von Schilf- und Wasserpfl anzen. Sie bieten zahllosen Vögeln und Amphibien artgerechten Lebensraum, am Wasser und auch darin. Es ist ein wahres Paradies für alle, die Natur lieben - und ein sehr spezielles Gefühl, sich die ganze Zeit 3 Meter unter dem Meeresspiegel zu bewegen.
