A rosewood sideboard or chest of drawers produced in the 1960’s by La Sorgente dei Mobili in Arosio near Milan, Italy. An extremely rare antique four-blade propeller from a Vickers Vernon aircraft. The Vickers Vernon was a British biplane troop carrier used by the Royal Air Force. It entered service in 1921, and was the first dedicated troop transport of the RAF. The Vernon was a development of the Vickers Vimy Commercial, a passenger variant of the famous Vickers Vimy bomber, and was powered by twin Napier Lion engines or Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII engines. Only 55 were built.

A stunning floor lamp by Gaetano Sciolari made by Stilnovo of Italy around the 1960s. Sciolari was at the forefront of design in that period. 007 ‘YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE’ SUBWAY C POSTER c.1967, U.S RELEASE
This film, the fifth in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, was directed by Lewis Gilbert, marking the start of his three-film tenure with the franchise. The screenplay, loosely inspired by Ian Fleming’s 1964 novel, was penned by Roald Dahl. During production, it was announced that Sean Connery would retire from his role as Bond, though he later returned for “Diamonds are Forever” in 1971 and “Never Say Never Again” in 1983. Artist Frank McCarthy (1924-2002) contributed to the promotional artwork, which included three distinct posters showcasing Connery in various iconic scenes: in a bathtub surrounded by women, with the memorable Little Nelly aircraft, and within the volcano.
Alongside three British posters, the advertising team also crafted three larger-format posters for the US subway market. This superb large posters comes with a timeless made to measure custom black frame.

Made in Venice, Italy in the 1980s. Known as the “calla“ (or lily) model, these lamps were crafted entirely by hand on the famous island of Murano in the late 1970’s / early 1980s. They have a streaked or pinstripe motif which sets these lamps apart from the norm and work so well in any interior, whether traditional or modern. Althought the lamps have not been signed and have lost the original manufacturer’s label they are almost certainly attributable to the famous Venini glassmakers.

Dining table or centre table designed by Romeo Rega for Metalarte, made in Italy in the 1970s. The table structure is made entirely out of brass and chrome, the top of which has brass framed glass tiles, the glass having an antiqued green glaze effect which has a translucent effect, changing in colour according to the reflection of light. Romeo Rega made a few of these tables but this particular model with green glass tiles is exceptionally rare. They are more commonly seen with brown glass tiles, mirrored or smoked glass tiles, or even burr walnut inlay. It is hard to overstate how striking this item is, a real eyecatcher that uplifts any modern interior and certain to gain in value and appreciation over time.
