When feeding Maintain Pellets, ensure that dry pasture, or hay, is readily available and that livestock are able to eat this forage to appetite at all times.

Used in conjunction with other feed sources, grains and protein meals, Maintain will help to keep stock in condition and provide the daily nutrient requirements of adult cattle and sheep. Maintain is particularly valuable as a supplementary feed. The large, 8mm diameter pellets are easy to trail out on the ground with minimal waste, and can be safely fed to all ruminant animals as a supplement to, and extender of, forage.
Maintain Pellets can be fed at 2% of livestock body weight per day. Although the pellets incorporate fibre and are balanced in starch, they are palatable, and it is recommended that an initial diet adaptation period be followed when starting to feed Maintain Pellets to livestock. Controlled and gradual introduction of the pellets is important for the animals to adapt and condition their gut to new feed. Please give special attention to controlling the introduction of Maintain Pellets to excessively hungry or drought affected stock. As an introduction, feed small amounts of the Maintain Pellets (about 0.2% of the animal’s body weight per day to begin with) and slowly increase this measure to the recommended daily amount over ten days.
