WHAT THE PUBLIC DOESN'T KNOW Here at PurposeBound Women, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2007, our founder has been funding her dream with her personal money. She has thrown up her hands and "quit" on her dreams hundreds of times. However, the nights after those times she made the decision to quit, she lay awake at night. She can't sleep because her passion to help women survive and thrive overtakes every moment of her life. Insomnia always wins. The next morning, it's back to the drawing board. "How can I make this happen? God, you've given me this vision so I know it will come to fruition. Our Reasons for Not Quitting Our mission is to improve the lives of women in particular, Black women & girls living in housing communities throughout our city. We envision a success story for all of them. There are so many causes companies can champion. There are many in government and other organizations doing great works in our communities. But, we would venture to say that the issues surrounding many of our societal woes occur because we're missing a STEP. We're missing a BRIDGE to move people from accepting and dealing with their life experiences, their continued struggles and their daily attempts to survive. Let's talk about those women who live in housing communities. In a study entitled, “We Don’t Live Outside, We Live in Here”: Neighborhood and Residential Mobility Decisions Among Low-Income Families conducted by Peter Rosenblatt of Loyola University Chicago and Stefanie DeLuca Johns, Hopkins University, found that members in these communities chose not to do anything to improve their current situation because "they've developed a number of coping strategies and beliefs that make them confident" and we'll add, comfortable where they currently live.

The Wave of a Magic Wand Plan THE SECRET SOLUTION: Change the mindset! From Passion to Profit is grounded in the principal mindset theories of Dr. Carol Dwerk
Any woman can enroll in the program or be referred by an agency or organization. The online program is self-pace although, many complete the program in two weeks or less. Participants will develop a Business Plan Lite. Through sponsorships, participants will received funding to cover the cost of materials needed to create their product as outlined in their business plan.
Social Enterprise Social enterprising is our ultimate goal for these women because they work to solve critical social problems and address basic unmet needs through innovation. Entrepreneurial endeavors create system change and improves the lives of underserved or marginalized groups.

CSR CONCIOUSNESS Over the years, it has become increasingly important to have a socially conscious image. Consumers, employees and stakeholders prioritize CSR when choosing a brand or company, and they are holding corporations accountable for effecting social change with their business beliefs, practices and profits. Additionally, more and more people in the workforce are making decisions about where they will work based on a company's CSR. We believe we are a good investment! We want to change the trajectory women's lives by breaking generational thought processes so women can not only survive but, thrive and grow. We want them to contribute to the economic growth and wealth of the Commonwealth in ways that are viable options for them. Our founder knows what it is like to feel that there are no options. She knows the fall from grace and the mindset and other tools required to change one's personal outcomes - for themselves and their families. AND, obviously, she is not a quitter. She will not quit on you nor will she quit on the women we serve.
