Power Integrations rolls out reference design kit for solar race cars
t The Things Conference 2025 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from 23rd to 24th September 2025, NeoCortec and its Italian partner Embit will be showing their latest EMB-LR1121-e/ mesh module - a dual band (subGHz/2.4GHz), embedded LoRa-enabled NeoMesh wireless network module. The companies will also demo a NeoMesh wireless network using LoRa modulation. Visitors to the stand will learn more about all the features and benefts plus how the combination of NeoMesh’s simple and massive scalability, high reliability and low power with Semtech’s LoRa modulation proven ability to perform well in noisy environments, such as buildings where other 2.4GHz radio systems such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also present, will work in their respective application. The demo also showcases how easy it is to set up and run such a wireless network.
Powell Electronics stocks micro-circular connectors from Omnetics
PAower Integrations is rolling out a new reference design kit tailored specifcally for solar-powered race cars as 37 student teams prepare to race across the Outback in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge starting August 24.
The kit, RDK-85SLR, features the PI™ InnoSwitch™3-AQ IC , which incorporates PI’s PowiGaN™ gallium-nitride switch technology. The kit is inspired by a design created by PI’s PowerPros™ online support engineers in collaboration with the ETH Zurich aCentauri team, whose #85 ‘Silvretta’ challenger-class car is using the design to maximize effciency in its auxiliary power supply.

Latest Bluetooth module from Panasonic Industry now in mass production
Now in mass production and offering great performance values and minimal power consumption for all Matter applications, the PAN B611-1 Bluetooth module from Panasonic Industry is based on the powerful Nordic nRF54L15 single chip controller. The product now also supports Bluetooth 6.0 and the cutting-edge Bluetooth Channel Sounding feature, enabling precise distance measurement and improved wireless communication. The PAN B611-1 had been initially announced as PAN B511-1 in February 2025.
All 32 pins available on nRF54L15 are routed out on to a hybrid packaging consisting of castellated edges and LGA in a hybrid layout such that a dedicated number of pins positioned at the edge lending for easy prototyping, with the rest of the GPIOs located at the bottom that allows leveraging the full potential of the wireless SoC platform. The module benefts from very small dimensions of only 10.35 mm × 9.8 mm × 1.9 mm.

The gold plated Beryllium Copper pins provide a reliable performance for more than 2,000 mating cycles. Both the male and female contacts are shrouded by the plastic insulators, insuring that the contacts are protected during mating and unmating. 5, 7, 12, 16, 27 and 39 position housing sizes are available in pre-wired, soldercup and solid straight tail versions.
