ELLA WOODS

‘Twas the night before showtime, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring in Ella Wood’s house… except for Ella her self, who was dotting her I’s, and crossing her T’s to make sure that this show, would be all it could be…

Okay, maybe not the most poetic thing ever written, but still true! What can I say about this process? It has definitely been a journey…

I wish I could tell you that this show was exactly how I envisioned it would be, but that’s not true. The crew I had in mind, even some of the way that the cast fell in to place had to be moved, cut, or shifted, some days, it was hard to see the finish line, and some days wiped myself, and my cast out completely. We had to reach, deep down inside of us, find a way to recharge, and hit it again from the next day. But you know what? That’s okay.

Things don’t always happen the way that we plan, and that’s something that we all can relate to, but the question is, what do you do with that?

For myself, and my cast, it looked like pulling ourselves up by the bootstraps, making sacrifices, and leaning on each other as a team. We came out on the other side with this!

So, while it may not be what I thought, or envisioned, it is OURS, mine, and my casts, it is a reflection of the hard work, and dedication that we have given for over the past two months. And for me, that’s more than enough! Enjoy the show!

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST?

Bridget Beresford (Frenchy) : Bridget is making her acting debut in SL - although she is no novice to SL show productions, having choreographed many precision and imaginative dance stories. She also has RL acting experience in productions such as Dangerous Liaisons with the British & American Theatre Society in her home city. Bridget is dedicated to bringing happiness to all in SL who enjoy the Performance Arts and thanks everyone of her team mates for the opportunity to perform with likeminded individuals. Keep on moving - never stop learning - spread a little happiness:)

Justin Elias Anatra (Sonny): resides in the Greater Cincinnati Ohio Area. He began his singing career at the tender age of three. As Justin progressed through his singing career, he took piano and also theater training. He is no stranger to the stage. He has worked along side many acts who are know around the world. Justin has composed musical scores and also sang for many artists and studios world wide. He used pseudonyms to maintain his RL name and still be able to perform locally in the metropolitan area where he resides. As his cousin sang in one of her biggest hits "It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing" Justin continues to grace the stage as a live vocalist in Second Life as well as creating his own accompaniment tracks. He even likes to break into the occasional piano and vocal piece depending on the occasion.

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST?

Gina (Jan): This is Gina’s debut acting performance. Gina’s other major hobby in SL is wrestling! She hopes that all that come to this performance enjoy it! Thank you, and enjoy!

Brice (Doody): Brice has recently started his adventure in acting on sl with Pure Imagination. He also participates as Dancer on Spirit Dance Light Company to expand his experience in various art forms. He also DJ’s, models, and creates vases with lovely textures or with custom detail. Brice’s passions are mentoring model students, his continuous creation of the Merwin race, by marrying his love of Butterflies and Mermen. All these activities are a build up of 5years on the grid, which brings him to show sincere gratitude to SECOND LIFE, for which without, he would not be able to fully explore his love of the arts!

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST?

Kathee Gibbs (Marty): Joined SecondLife in 2007 because of a NPR (National Public Radio) show Science Friday, and jumped at the chance to experience it. Then one day, she discovered live music on the grid, and found it to be her passion. She would later go on to assisting SL musicians. Since she was a professional camper lol, I enthusiastically said YES !!!!! After attending the Musical "Rocky Horror Picture Show" she thought being in a SL Musical would be fun, and is happy to have that opportunity with this production of Grease!

Joanne Steel (Ms.Lynch): Joanne is making her acting debut in Second Life as Rydell High’s Miss Lynch. Joanne is currently a wrestler for Digital Championship Wrestling Federation (DCWF) the longest running wrestling promotion in Second Life having made her in-ring debut with them in August 2019. She is also the rp drummer with the Santa Ramona Valley band, The Ashes. In real life Joanne is from Manchester UK and she has never performed on stage. She would like to thank Ella for the opportunity to make her debut, the rest of the cast for being so helpful, and her good friends Azemov, Asher, Serina, and Gina Rose (Jan) who suggested she audition.

Eliza Mint (Cha Cha): Eliza is excited to return to the SL stage in the role of Cha Cha, marking the end of a long hiatus. She previously performed with the dance troupe, Dazzlers. In a previous incarnation, she performed in "A Christmas Story", as well as weekly comedy improv. Eliza was thrilled to jump into this production and thanks everyone for welcoming her to the theater. She would like to thank her partner, Kaece, for his support and encouragement in all her creative endeavors.
