POSI-Lite INTRODUCTION
POSI-Lite is a lightweight, fully adjustable balustrade system that is streamlined for ease of use.
The perfect blend of quality, performance and affordability. POSI-Lite uses Pure Vista’s patented POSIglaze glass clamp. This allows the glass to be tilted up to 2 degrees, ensuring the panels are perfectly aligned for a precise finish.
Designed with ease of fitting in mind, POSI-Lite utilises just 3 highly adjustable glass clamps per metre, compared to the typical 4, making light work of the installation process. The time-saving easy-fit gasket, simply hooks and pushes into the channel’s top recess to complete the installation.
POSI-Lite is tested to 0.74kN, making it the ideal choice for domestic environments and compatible with glass thicknesses of 12- 21.5mm.
Available in base and edge mounting options and in a silver or black brushed finish.

BASE MOUNT
Attached to your concrete or steel substrate through drilled holes in the base of the channel. Compatible with the Timber Fixing Plate, allowing safe installation onto timber (see p24).
EDGE MOUNTING
Compatible with the Edge Mounting Plate, allowing installation to the edge of concrete substrates. Maximising the usable area of your balcony or terrace.

To install a frameless glass balustrade channel onto a concrete substrate, it is essential to drill the holes for the channel at least 50mm from the edge of the concrete to the edge of the drilled hole. Placing the channel holes too close to the edge risks damaging the concrete during installation or when force is applied to the balustrade.
The Edge Mounting Plate enables the POSI-Lite channel to be positioned at the edge of the concrete substrate while ensuring that the installation holes remain in the required safe position. Maximising balcony area and increasing space.

Timber Fixing Plate®
The patented Pure Vista Timber Fixing Plate has been designed to provide a solid fixing where the substrate is timber.
It is a square plate with a threaded sleeve in the centre, which holds onto the balustrade channel. The Timber Fixing Plates are fixed to the timber using 4 6x100mm wood screws. The Timber Fixing Plates are now galvanised, giving a greater level of corrosion resistance against the environment.
A building designed with the correct framework can utilise the Timber Fixing Plates to install a glass balcony.
New decking areas can be designed with the right sized timber to accommodate the Timber Fixing Plate, or existing areas can be bolstered up to suit. A minimum 100mm width and 120mm depth is required.
It is possible to rebate squares out of the timber to recess the Timber Fixing Plates, lay the waterproof membrane over the top and use the BalconySeal® system on the top for a waterproof installation.
The timber plates have been tested to suit domestic balustrade/ balconies up to 1200mm high (0.74kN line load to BS 6180).

BalconySeal®
BalconySeal® is a revolutionary product which provides water drainage and waterproofing on any exterior POSIglaze, POSIone or POSI-Lite installation.
Careful consideration should be taken to prevent water ingress into the building. Typically, this will happen for two reasons; firstly, if no appropriate water drainage solution is in place and secondly, if the balustrade channel fixing points have not been properly sealed.
If water is allowed to pool on a flat roof, it will find the easiest infiltration points to drain through, such as a bolt hole, causing costly and damaging water ingress issues.
The BalconySeal® system works by subtly raising the POSI channel a few millimetres above the substrate. Notches on the top side of the drain blocks fit into the rebates of the POSI channel, locating the position before the system is bolt-fixed to the substrate through each block.
The gaps between the drain blocks are your water drainage, allowing water to flow underneath the channel.
The drain blocks are subsequently filled with sealant to create a fully waterproofed balustrade installation.
POSI -Lite BalconySeal ® FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the drain blocks under the channel
2. Lay the channel on top of the drain blocks
3. Fix the channel through the drain blocks
4. Fill the blocks with BalconySeal® sealant until visible through the sealant vent channel.

POSI -Lite Frameless Glass Balustrade //
POSI-Lite
POSI-Lite is one of the most simple balustrade systems to install and adjust thanks to the patented Pure Vista glass clamp. These step by step instructions guide you through the installation process.
1. FIT THE CHANNEL
Place the POSI-Lite base channel in position and mark holes on the substrate for drilling. Once the holes are drilled, lay the channel on top, aligning the channel holes with your drilled holes. Fix in place with an appropriate screw or bolt.
2.
CLAMP THE GLASS
Make up the clamps by loosely slotting the left and right hand sides together. Clamp these to the bottom edge of the glass panel at even intervals. Squeeze the clamps tight around the glass and position the panel into the balustrade channel.
Your installation is now complete! 3. 1. 2. 6. 4. 5.
3. FIT THE BOLTS
Screw the bolts into the bars. Slide the aluminium bars curved side down into the recess at the top of each clamp, on both sides of the glass.
4. ADJUST THE GLASS
Align the glass using the angled spanner to adjust the clamp bars. Unscrew the bolts against the profile (anticlockwise). Once positioned correctly, unscrew the bolts on both sides to tighten. Use a retaining compound for added security.
5.
ADD GASKET
The gasket simply hooks and pushes into the recess on the top of the channel for a tidy finish
6.
FINISH INSTALLATION
If required, fit end caps to visible ends of the channel.
POSI-Lite ACCREDITATIONS
The table to the right shows the line loading that POSI -Lite is certified to achieve.
These tests have been conducted in accordance with BS6180:2011 to certify that POSI -Lite meets the force loading requirement under British standards for a range of glass height and thickness configurations.
POSIglaze
The most popular domestic to light commercial crossover product in the range. POSIglaze uses a screw-clamp, allowing for quick and easy installation with precise adjustments for perfect alignment. It achieves up to 1.50kN and is suitable for use on uneven surfaces. The system’s adjustable capabilities make it compatible with a variety of glass sizes. Compatible with BalconySeal®.
POSIONE
One side installation, adjustment & de-glaze. POSIone achieves up to 1.50kN, making it a popular choice for both domestic and light commercial projects. Compatible with a range of glass sizes and has an adjustment of up to 20mm each way. Also compatible with BalconySeal®.
MEGAgrip
A heavy-duty and fully adjustable 3.00kN commercial balustrade system, designed as a highly-durable public safety barrier for large commercial constructs. Exceeding the 3kN British standards, MEGAgrip is the proven choice for commercial frameless glass balustrade. BLASTguard and BULLETguard anti-terror kits available. SPIG- Lite
The SPIG-Lite system uses compact base-mounted adjustable spigots to support glass panels while making the most of the available glazed area. Utilising Pure Vista’s patented glass clamp, SPIG-Lite is highly adjustable and even more user-friendly. Extremely simple and cost-effective to install, SPIG-Lite requires just two evenly spaced spigots per glass panel.
ARIA
The patented ARIA Juliet provides simple installation and excellent value for money. The innovative design holds the glass securely in place with a solid Aluminium block within the channel. Tested to 0.74kN and available for glass lengths of up to 3000mm and height of 1100mm. This channel can be used for fascia or side fixing.
