The contest organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENREMB) is in line with the celebration of Earth day with the theme, “Towards Climate-resilient and Eco-friendly Cities”. Recognized as a Guinness Book of World Records title holder, PUP had set another record after obtaining the most number of organ donation pledges in one hour at one site held at the University Oval, February 28. PUP, in collaboration with the Department of Health’s (DOH) “I’m A Lifeline” campaign, accumulated a number of 3,548 pledges starting from 9AM to 10AM surpassing India’s record of 2,755, September

17 last year. DOH selected the University as one of the sign-up sites for its huge number of students and for getting into the Guinness after making 30,365 students, professors and alumni to participate in the Largest Human Rainbow held at Quirino Grandstand last September 18, 2004. “Past records were done in the university [pertaining to the human rainbow], so we were betting on PUP to break the records.
