Maintain accurate logs in accordance with BC Regulations and/or local requirements. Process cremated remains with dignity, accuracy, and care. Prepare cremation equipment and work area before and after each cremation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized crematory space. Follow all health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Accurately complete required documentation and identification procedures. Communicate respectfully with funeral home staff and families as required. Maintain the cleanliness of the community space, adjacent areas, and the parking lot through regular cleaning and maintenance. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and operational information and adhere to professional ethical standards at all times. Ensure compliance with all applicable provisions of the Cremation, Interment and Funeral Services Act and the regulations enforced by Consumer Protection BC.

Previous cremation or funeral service experience is an asset; training can be provided. Perform tasks including climbing, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. Valid driver’s license. Completion of cremator operator training or willingness to complete an approved training within a specified period. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory criminal record check.
