A Guide to Punchmark’s Premium Vendors

Foreword As a Jewelry Industry focused website platform, Punchmark is set apart from generic options by offering solutions tailored to jewelry retailers. One of the greatest of these is its Premium Vendor Program which allows Punchmark retail clients to request access to, and download once approved, a vendor product list that has been provided. These product lists are required to be updated at least every 90 days to ensure data validity.

This program was a major point of focus for us this past year. We tightened our product guidelines, introduced many new vendors, and, greatest of all, rolled out the Vendor Portal. This groundbreaking new product has allowed an unprecedented level of insight into what their products will look like on retailer’s websites.

In an effort to bridge the gap between Premium Vendors and Punchmark Retailers, the Punchmark team has created the Vendor Vault to better showcase Premium Vendors whose products are available to subscribe to.

If you wish to have these products on your website, log into your website > Brands > Brand Subscriptions > and search for any of these wonderful vendors we have featured and add to your liking!

Once approved, you’ll be able to load these vendors into your site; for diamond vendors, go to > Commerce > Diamonds > and search for the diamond vendor you’d like to add.

Michael Burpoe: One of your representatives reached out to me and had found us actually off of In the Loupe and was talking about your solution for e-commerce and how you might be able to work with us a little bit more in depth. And right off the top, It sounds so interesting. Could you explain what it is that Illumix does?

Kirin Sinha: Yeah, absolutely. Illumix was really founded on the idea of combining the digital experience with real world experiences in the physical world. And I think that we have all experienced that both sides present so much value. What you can do when you shop in a store, trying something on, getting a feel for that product on you is different from what you get in a traditional kind of flat, 2D website, experience. But of course, e-commerce is hugely important for getting people to know your brand to see your products, there’s value there that you can’t replicate with just physical stores. And so what we seek to do in e-commerce is bring those two together. cont.

So what Illumex offers is a really simple, very fast solution to be able to bring what we call Virtual Try-on onto any jewelry website.

So right above the Buy Now button, there might be a try now option. So instead of seeing, you know, a photo of a model of what a product might look like, it will actually just automatically pop up in the camera. If you’re on mobile, if you’re on desktop, it doesn’t matter. And you can actually see what that product could look like on you. So really bringing that physical store experience to the full reach of online e-commerce.

MB: I think we’ve gotten to the point where online is completely undeniable when it comes to the value to a business, especially with a product like jewelry. But it’s very difficult. Jewelry is a very tactile luxury. But I think your solution is kind of at least getting us closer to the end result that we’re all kind of envisioning.

Can you walk us through a simple step by step of what the process is like of getting this try-on feature actually implemented on their website?

KS: Start by contacting Illumix where you’ll get started with an account on our platform. And really, there’s only two steps.

You upload your catalog, whether that’s 2d png images you already have from your product page, or whether that’s, you know, 3d CAD models you have from your design or manufacturing process, you upload whatever assets you have, we translate those into AR assets in a matter of minutes.

From there, you can connect that directly to your product through two possible ways. You can either integrate our SDK, just copy, paste a few lines of code into your website, or you can just use the links themselves, for example on social media, or if you want to just try something really fast, and embed it into a specific product page, you can actually just embed that specific link directly wherever you want each product, each product page will be associated with an AR link.

And you don’t have to pay for anything unless customers are actually using it. If consumers are not liking it, or if they’re just not clicking on it, you’re not paying for that. You only pay on success!
