Dear Friends of Punchestown,

I’m delighted to welcome you here today for our final fixture of the 2022 / 2023 season. On behalf of the entire team here at Punchestown I would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support. We were all delighted that you made the effort to join us throughout the season and we certainly hope you enjoyed the experience.

I would like to welcome the Ladbrokes team here today who are proudly sponsoring seven of the eight races with the Irish EBF sponsoring the final race of the day. They are both fantastic supporters of Punchestown and indeed Irish racing and we wish them every continued success.

We have had a great weekend so far for the ‘Summer In Town’ mini-festival and today there will be a BBQ situated in the Punchestown Garden, live music after racing, live hurling coverage on the big screen and a shuttle bus service into Naas where you can continue the party with friends and family.

Today we are delighted to stage Fitclub @ Punchestown where seven local sports clubs will take part in a fitness challenge for the chance of winning €2,000 for their club. This event starts at 12.10pm today so please pop over and cheer on the participants!

Additionally, we have an Exhibition in association with Bermingham Cameras situated in the ground floor of the main grandstand. Photography students, enthusiasts and club members were invited ‘to attempt to capture Punchestown in a photo where the subject is not necessarily the horse but more about the people, place and occasion”. Over fifty photographers took part throughout Festival 2023 and the overall winner will be selected today at the races.

Finally, I would like to wish you all a very enjoyable summer and I hope you have plenty of success at the great summer racing festivals that are held throughout Ireland.

I look forward to welcoming you back to the home of jump racing on Wednesday 13th September for our only flat racing fixture to commence the new season.
