For another year, we’re presenting you a unified team full of ambition and energy willing to exhibit another detailed manifestation of your ideas for a better Junior College. Throughout the years, the constant need for a unified Junior College has been more than crucial for any council to succeed in its works. This year’s message is one: Stronger Together. We believe that together as one, the opportunities are infinite. Following up on another fruitful year, we’re here to present another strong electoral programme aimed at showcasing our credibility in attaining various initiatives, tangible projects and services in the coming months. environment & equality 1. Pulse in KSJC will come into discussion with “The Cyclist” about the possibility of offering a monetary incentive to those purchasing a new bike. 2. Pulse in KSJC will invest in more battery recycling bins at Junior College. 3. Pulse in KSJC will discuss with concerned stakeholders on introducing a beverage container recycling scheme, hence ensuring a drastic reduction in plastic waste. 4. Pulse in KSJC will raise further social awareness by organising “The KSJC Human Rights Conference”. 5. Pulse in KSJC will organise various workshops to continue raising awareness on Equality and LGBTIQ. 6. Pulse in KSJC will incentivise the use of travel mugs by offering reduced prices from nearby cafeterias. 7. Pulse in KSJC will organise a “Live Green” campaign which shall consist of a minimum of three Clean-Ups, including Beach and Underwater Clean-Ups throughout the year. 8. Pulse in KSJC will introduce a “Plant a Tree” scheme, with a tree being planted for every 40 memberships during Freshers’ Week. 9. Pulse in KSJC will invest in a substantial number of bikes, thus upgrading the “Rent a Bike” scheme.

closer to students 10. Pulse in KSJC will offer an adequate subsidy for any transport used during school outings. 11. Pulse in KSJC will ensure that “You Complain You Gain” is the ideal platform for students opinions. 12. Pulse in KSJC will discuss with the Junior College Administration the possibility of installing new seating and equipment in Youth Hub. 13. Pulse in KSJC will give more importance to the Sub-Committees based on Events, Social Policy and the Environment. 14. Pulse in KSJC will promote international exchanges by Eurocentre by offering sufficient funds to those interested. 15. Pulse in KSJC will assist the Manga Club by donating a projector, help in the possibility of allocating an office space and financially assist during events such as The Junior College Open Day. 16. Pulse in KSJC will assist the JC Orchestra by purchasing a new Banjo whilst supporting them financially throughout the year. 17. Pulse in KSJC will assist Chrisco by implementing a Kitchenette within their office space, discuss the possibility of new seating and addition of electrical sockets. 18. Pulse in KSJC will assist “Teatru Kulleġġ” financially during their annual events and activities and also help in purchasing props when needed.

Pulse in KSJC will cater for those students who require transferring files to a storage device by introducing the “Rent a Pendrive” scheme. 21. Pulse in KSJC will continue building on the strong works done in the past three years by ensuring a strengthened WiFi connection across the college. 22. Pulse in KSJC will collaborate with the canteen operator about the possibility of increasing the amount of Vegan food available. 23. Pulse in KSJC will bring about discussions on alternative transportation methods whilst also initiating “The Transport Fund”. 24. Pulse in KSJC will cater for the winter period by offering the “Rent a Rain Jacket” service. 25. Pulse in KSJC will promote awareness on First Aid by offering AED Courses. 26. Pulse in KSJC will discuss the possibility of allocating classrooms which may be utilised as Study Rooms when available. 27. Pulse in KSJC will invest in a number of bicycle puncture kits.

28. Pulse in KSJC will organise a variety of workshops related to Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence. 29. Pulse in KSJC will ensure further inclusion by offering Sign Language Courses. 30. Pulse in KSJC will initiate a platform for discussion on the legalisation of Marijuana. 31. Pulse in KSJC will organise an educational campaign related to Mental and Sexual Health. 32. Pulse in KSJC will set up an Animal Awareness campaign which shall be aimed at urging animal adoption, assisting stray animals and reducing animal violence. 33. Pulse in KSJC will not shy away from listening to student’s opinion on Euthanasia and Abortion. 34. Pulse in KSJC will organise a series of informative sessions related to Online Voting. 35. Pulse in KSJC will host various informative sessions with regards to the importance of a healthy balanced lifestyle for every student.

Pulse in KSJC will prioritise extra-curricular sports by investing in various Tennis and Badminton equipment. 38. Pulse in KSJC will build on this year’s record-breaking achievement and assure a further increase in corporate sponsorships. 39. Pulse in KSJC will continue upgrading the recently implemented bike racks by installing adequate rain shelters. 40. Pulse in KSJC will increase tents across “Ta’ Qali”. 41. Pulse in KSJC will ensure security measures are increased by installing security cameras inside the Games Room and Youth Hub. 42. Pulse in KSJC will open discussion with various art products suppliers to offer exclusive discounts to those students studying Art and Graphical Communication. 43. Pulse in KSJC will implement various mosquito repellents in “Study Garden”, “Ta’ Qali” and “Buskett”. 44. Pulse in KSJC will work hand in hand with the Junior College Administration to assure a regeneration is completed in the outside Tennis Court. 45. Pulse in KSJC will explore the possibility of regenerating the outside Basketball Court, making it available on a daily basis, repainting the floor and make sure it is well-equipped with the necessary equipment.

This initiative shall be the ideal medium for Junior College students to express their creativity and videography skills. 47. Pulse in KSJC will open discussions with Air Malta to offer students exclusive discounts when travelling with our national airline. 48. Pulse in KSJC will provide a unique opportunity to analyse the work done in the European Parliament by organising various internships with Maltese MEPs. 49. Pulse in KSJC will commit to expanding its international office by working further on the KSJC Youth Exchange Programme and offer more opportunities. 50. Pulse in KSJC will prioritise every international student by opening “The KSJC International Students Group” on Facebook, hence ensuring utmost support throughout the year. 51. Pulse in KSJC will commit in publishing an Online Newspaper per Scholastic Term. This will ensure students are well informed about the council’s work whilst giving writers a platform to express themselves. 52. Pulse in KSJC will allocate a section in the KSJC Website for bloggers to publish their opinion pieces online. 53. Pulse in KSJC will continue writing history by organising two International Cultural Trips in one year! Following the previous successes in Sicily and Rome, KSJC will commit to expanding such trips.

Pulse in KSJC will build bridges with University Student Organisations to assist second-year students in their transition from Junior College to the University of Malta. 57. Pulse in KSJC will discuss with the Junior College Administration the possibility of academic timetables being published on an earlier date. 58. Pulse in KSJC will organise a number of information sessions which shall target the newly introduced Education Reform in Junior College. 59. Pulse in KSJC will ensure that the upcoming Student Representatives elections are carried out through an Online Voting process. 60. Pulse in KSJC will offer the possibility of Job Shadowing in various fields. 61. Pulse in KSJC will set up a number of study groups during the End of Year examinations.

Pulse in KSJC will organise a substantial number of art workshops, specifying on photography, music, drama and design. 64. Pulse in KSJC will commit to promoting aspiring students who wish to follow a career in music by utilising the various social media platforms available. 65. Pulse in KSJC will get into the football atmosphere this summer by organising the “KSJC Euro 2020 Village”. 66. Pulse in KSJC will collaborate with the Sports Department to enhance the current Sports Week in Junior College. 67. Pulse in KSJC will collaborate with the concerned organisers to acquire various complimentary tickets for headlining events in Malta such as Isle of MTV, SummerDaze and much more. 68. Pulse in KSJC will collaborate with all Junior College Student Organisations to organise the first-ever Christmas Village on Campus. 69. Pulse in KSJC will set up the first-ever Junior College E-Sports Team. 70.
