A celebration of rural life at Lamport Hall

Lamport Hall’s Festival of Country Life was always a popular element in their spring calendar. After a few years off, they are revamping and relaunching as Rural Life at Lamport Hall. Working alongside Hannington Vintage Tractor Club, they will be hosting a wonderful weekend celebrating rural life through the ages, from the days of horse-powered ploughing through steam and the rise of the tractor.
The event will be open on the May Bank Holiday Sunday the 28th and Monday the 29th and will be open from 10am-5pm.
The weekend promises to be full of something to delight all the family. There will be a full-size steam display vintage tractor show and working arena for the agricultural enthusiast. For the little ones, there will be a fairground and tractor rides and if you have four-legged family members, they can take part in a fun dog show. There will also be the opportunity to shop with tradestands and charity stalls or refuel with food stalls or at the beer tent.
Lamport Hall are also welcoming The Shire Horse Society with a display of Shire horses, the gentle giants who were so instrumental in the agricultural scenery. Animals in Mind do animal assisted therapy and education and will be bringing along their furry, scaly and eight-legged friends for visitors to meet. Hawkeye Falconry will also be doing a thrilling display on both days.
