A stocktake with a difference, a motoring spectacle, stunning imagery and a visit from a movie star. Here are this month’s Pulse Pics...

The first day of the new year was a wheelie big hit with motoring enthusiasts who flocked to Stony Stratford for the annual Vintage Stony car event. Dozens of pre-war cars, classic motors and motorcycles coloured up the streets and the Market Square, with monies raised going to Willen Hospice.

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo staff made use of all their fingers and thumbs when they began the significant task of the annual stocktake earlier this month. The zoo is home to more than 10,000 animals and zookeepers gathered their clipboards and calculators to take stock of every invertebrate, bird, fish, mammal, reptile and amphibian. It was a case of one, zoo, three... Spider man spun a web all the way to Aspley Guise a few weeks ago, when he stopped by the Blue Orchid restaurant for dinner. Actor Tom Holland who plays the superhero was happy to pose with staff at the eatery, a popular draw with fans of thai cuisine.
