Worried about flooding? Visit the Floodmobile!
RAIN project invites East Hunsbury residents to discuss flood risk and resilience on 27 March
A‘Floodmobile’ vehicle is visiting East Hunsbury as part of a free community event, which invites local residents to find out more about flood risk and resilience.
The event, which is being hosted by the Resilience And Innovation Northants (RAIN) project, is an opportunity to learn what can be done to plan ahead and make adaptations to your home, to prepare for future flood risk.
The Floodmobile is packed with more than 50 examples of practical flood resilience measures. RAIN’s flood resilience experts will be happy to answer questions and show how the products work.
The event is being held in the Abbey Centre on Monday 27 March, between 2pm-6pm.
Alan Ryan from the West Northants Flood and Water Team: “With climate change upon us, we must get ready for the unavoidable impacts of flooding by adapting and helping communities to become more resilient.
“Our aim is to work with the people of East Hunsbury to embrace a broad range of resilience actions to better protect and prepare against flooding.
A visit to the Floodmobile is worth a visit and we look forward to meeting as many residents as possible.”
