Working to make our streets safer

Off the Streets are are an anti knife crime group working with Community members, organisations and authorities in Northamptonshire to make our streets safer, with the aim to eradicate knife crime across the county.

Off the Streets NN are honoured to be working with East Hunsbury Parish Council funding critical bleed control cabinets in the eastern district of Northampton. We will continue to collaborate together on future initiatives to support the community and save lives in the event of an emergency.

What do we do?

• We work with Northamptonshire Police to place Amnesty Bins across the county to enable safe knife disposal for the community

• Fundraising to place Public Accessible Bleed Kits (both 24 hour accessible cabinets and bags)

• Deliver workshops for young people to teach safety awareness in regards to knives, gangs and knife crime incidents

• Provide free Critical Bleed Control Training alongside our partner Meditech Global. This teaches you how to use the kits and what to do in an emergency if no kit is at hand

There are two Critical Bleed Control Cabinets in East Hunsbury. A bleed control kit can be used to stem a catastrophic bleed in ANY situation. Hopefully, they will never need to be used but can save vital time, if they are.
