All season long, Carve has spotlighted standout Team Managers across the BMX racing scene, and it’s only fitting to close things out with the most successful TM in BMX history: Jimmy B, Jim Buchanan. RYLAND BRICKER TOPS THE CHARTS AGAIN
Ryland Bricker once again set the standard as the top individual fundraiser for the seventh straight year, donating $27,660.86 and pushing his lifetime total to an incredible $277,660 for Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). Joining him in the top 10 were Chloe Holloway, Sean Coleman, Mandy Hergert, Eli Schott, Jackson Beal, Liam Winters, Liam Garcia, Charlie Schroeder, and Kaiden Saba—each a testament to the generosity and heart of the BMX community.
BMX tracks nationwide also made a major impact by hosting Race for Life events that united ties and raised critical funds.
Lincoln Park BMX led all tracks with
$30,590.71, closely followed by Egg Harbor Township BMX at $29,609.03. Completing the top 10 were Steel Wheels BMX, Columbia Basin BMX, Waterford Oaks BMX, Moses Lake BMX, Rockford BMX, Northern Virginia BMX, Spokane BMX, and Springfield BMX, proving that when tracks rally together, the results can be truly powerful.
G-SHOCK POWERS THE 2025 SILVER CUP WINNERS
While the 2025 Champs were winning on Tulsa Time, G-SHOCK was keeping it. Built on a legacy of resilience and precision, G-SHOCK once again raised the bar by pairing all nine Silver Cups with its iconic timepieces, ensuring each 2025 USA BMX National No.1 took home more than just a title. These watches became a symbol of the same toughness demanded on the track, uncompromising, dependable, and ready for anything. For the National No.1s, the GSHOCK wasn’t just an accessory it’s a reminder that champions aren’t defined only by the moments they win, but by the durability, dis-
cipline, and drive it takes to get there. In Tulsa, where seconds matter and toughness reigns supreme, G-SHOCK proved once again that it’s the official timekeeper of those who refuse to break.
LIGHTER & SIMPLER
Designed with BMX racers in mind, this hub strips away unnecessary weight and complication to deliver a cleaner, faster solution. The one-piece driver eliminates the bulk and moving parts of traditional replaceable sprocket systems, creating a setup that’s lighter,
simpler, and more race-ready right out of the box. By machining the driver as a single piece, the hub gains strength where it matters most while shedding excess weight. Fewer parts mean fewer worries, letting racers focus on the gate, not their gear.
DAUDET & CHASE SPLIT
IT’S NOT GOODBYE IT’S SEE YOU SOON
As the 2025 season drew to a close, the Grand Nationals served as the stage for three heartfelt farewell rides. Olivia Armstrong, Rachel Mydock, and Kyle Jensen each took their final laps at the Pro level, closing remarkable chapters in their racing careers. As they step forward to build new paths beyond the track, each of these athletes leaves behind a legacy that reflects
the very best of BMX, dedication, resilience, and passion for the sport. Their impact will be felt long after the final gate drop, inspiring the next generation of racers to chase the same dreams they once did. While they may not be chasing the series in years to come we sincerely hope we see them track side enjoying the sport they called home.
Six-time USA BMX Champion. Three-time World Champion. Reigning Olympic Gold Medalist.
The GOAT.
December is no stranger to roster moves and offseason reshuffles, but the BMX world was caught off guard by one seismic change: the end of Joris Daudet’s 12-year partnership with Chase Bicycles. For the first time since 2011, the sport’s most accomplished and influential racer enters a new season without a factory ride. As the 2026 season approaches, one question echoes through the pits and boardrooms alike, who will land the GOAT?
With the French contingent growing deeper, faster, and more dominant by the season, attention naturally turns to brands aligned with le Tricolore. The timing is impossible to ignore.
Options are plentiful for Daudet, but so is motivation. As the road to the 2028 Olympic Games begins in the latter half of the upcoming season, this unexpected chapter may be the spark that pushes the 34-year-old to redefine what longevity and dominance look like in BMX racing. More titles, more podiums, and continued leadership at the forefront of France’s BMX reign are not just possibilities, they remain very much within reach.
BIKE CHECK
Thirteen wins. That was the final tally for Molly Simpson’s dominant 2025 USA BMX season. Countless hours in the gym. Endless laps on the track. Every session fine-tuning the engine.
When she rolled onto the championship stage, the bike beneath her wasn’t just built for speed, it was crafted. A seamless blend of raw power and precision, performance turned into art.
The maroon-and-crème colorway made its debut at the 2025 Derby City Nationals, a look that would carry through the season and tie perfectly into the Factory Daylight/Hero kits unveiled at the 2025 Grand Nationals.
From Red Deer to Tulsa, this is the machine that carried a champion.
Here’s a look at the parts behind Molly Simpson’s titlewinning ride.

MOLLY WINS THE US PRO TITLE LOGAN & ELLE WIN THE GRANDS
The ‘Greatest Race on Earth’ goes down in Tulsa each November on US Thanksgiving weekend and this year, the many Canadians who traveled down got to witness Molly Simpson win the US Pro Womens Title. She becomes just the second Canadian to ever accomplish the feat - Samantha Cools won back-to-back titles in 2004 and then 2005, exactly two decades ago.

BC BMX REVS UP THE NEW 2026 PROVINCIAL SERIES
BC BMX is revamping their Provincial series to increase participation and reduce the amount of travel required to earn a plate and awards.

The Factory Norco Team was recently inducted into the Canadian BMX Hall of Fame. Their Western team was anchored by the likes of Hall-of-Famer Pete Zablotny, Ted Gilliat and Gerald Bleau.
They also had a huge presence in Eastern Canada with a fullblown Factory squad until the late 1980’s.
NANAIMO PREPARING
BIG WEEKEND IN JULY
TO HOST
Mark your calendars for this weekend! Nanaimo BMX will be hosting a BC BMX Provincial, the Cycling BC Provincial Championship and a pair of Canada Cup races.
The event marks the first time that a BC track will host a BMX Canada event along with two events that run using UCI categories and rules.
The BC Championship helps riders qualify for the UCI World Championships in 2027 and the Canada Cups help to identify emerging riders for Canadian National teams.
THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG
Addley ‘The Angry Cat’ Zambo debuted her new jersey at Abbotsford Indoor in November. She and a handful of riders are part of the new Canadian Supercross Factory Team with Ken Cools serving as coach and team manager.
MOLLY DANGERGIRL
Molly Simpson is teaming up with Dangerboy to launch the new Dangergirl brand. The Canadian company has signed #44 to a threeyear deal through the 2028 Olympics as a brand ambassador, expanding their international reach.
To kick off the partnership, they’re releasing two limited editions: a Paris Olympic T-shirt and a separate design celebrating Molly’s first World Cup win. Dangergirl is a female-focused extension of the popular Dangerboy and Bike Supplies programs, with new athletes set to join the roster in 2026.

Over 500 riders returned to the place where the Canadian National season started just five months earlier, the place known affectionately as the Red Barn, Chilliwack Heritage Park. As the campers, travelers and motorhomes pulled into the massive parking lot, there was a growing sense of anticipation and excitement for this year’s Grands. There was renewed energy at the Nationals in the season and the newly-introduced Superclass Saturday was set to take center stage on Saturday evening. As riders and families began to fill up the building, the chatter around this year’s track was growing and it was loud and clear, this year’s build from Billy Allen and his trusty crew was a huge hit even before the practice rounds took to the track. A classic U-inside-U layout was the only part of this year’s track that was standard.
TRIFECTA: Chase Burian (4), Logan Lee (W8) and Allie McLean (9) battled each other in the 14 Girls class and then took it to the next level in Women’s Superclass. Logan ruled the roost on Saturday winning her class and then pulled off the trifecta, winning the Futures class and the Superclass Women’s Final on Saturday night. Chase won the 14 Girls main on the Grands and Allie McLean made her mark in Superclass with a respectable third and fourth.
The track featured multiple level changes on each straight making it feel more ‘moto’ than ever and the level of racing rose up to meet the challenge. When the riders are smiling after their practice rounds, you know a good weekend of racing is ahead. Day One served as the last changes to earn National scores and that meant both Canadian and American riders were battling it out to better their scores and move up the standings.
A new Superclass format saw the end of the series conclude on Saturday evening with Superclass Saturday. That gave extra meaning to Friday’s races and Dangerboy’s Max Ganakovsky made it count. His season has been anything but perfect but he put in the best lap of the year to capture his first win of the season, and with the win, moved himself way up in the standings. The Brosius sisters, Tiffany and Makayla, went head-to-head on the Women’s side and Factory Motofill flyers finished one-two ahead of Allie McLean who made her first go in the class a good one.
Saturday was buzzing with energy and the fans were treated to a Superclass autograph poster session in the morning. It was great to see the connection between the younger riders and the Superclass stars and that helped build even more excitement for the new evening show.
Superclass Saturday, the evening showcase on Sat urday, was sponsored by Zero-2-Hero, HDF Wealth Management and Bikesupplies, who kicked in a cool $3,000 toward the cash purse. When the lights went down and ‘Don’t fear the Reaper’ came on, you could tell this was going to be a special event. Dangerboy’s Zach Frier had all but locked up the men’s title but he still had something to prove in the final. In the end, Supercross’s Deegan Brown of California scooped up the win ahead of Taylor Otterson and flyin’ Frier. That gave Dangerboy his second title in a row.
Rift/Tangent’s Brady Mitschke dusted the 14 Experts and then captured the Future’s 13-16 class on Superclass Saturday. Earlier that day, the ‘Gentleman’ was signing limited-edition Superclass posters. Better frame yours - Could be worth alot very soon.
Makayla Brosius also had her title wrapped up and had her hands full with a handful of the younger stars. Daylight’s Logan Lee was already having herself a good weekend and after winning her Future’s main, she loaded back up on the gate and shocked the class, going wire-to-wire for the win. Last year’s Champion, Keira Murphy was finally back in action after a long recovery and it was great to see her in the mix with a sixth place finish.
THE 7 INTERMEDIATE SECONDS CLUB:
Levine Kusmich, Griffin Magoon and Tate Cedars each captured themselves a second place finish in a class that was dominated by North Vancouver’s Leo Zhang. Zhang was so fast, we couldn’t get him in the same shot as the second’s club.
D-DAY: Dallen Brereton-Stiles added the BMXCanada National Champion to his impressive list of accomplishments in 2025. In the process, he lifted the Rift/Tangent squad to second consecutive Team Titles. That’s on top of the BC, Junior Devo, and Canadian Championship titles!
NEPEAN’S NAG #1: Nepean BMX’s Ashton ‘Barends’ Berends made the trip out West a good one. A cruiser win on Day Two and the on Grands win locked up a NAG #1 plate for the Ontario flyer.
Included in the evening show, was a new 11-12 Trophy Dash and two 13-16 Futures classes that showcased Canada’s up and coming talent. Zachary Chubey (AB) and Halle Stocks (BC) won the Dash and then Brady Mitschke (AB) and Logan Lee (AB) captured the first-ever Future’s payout.
Rift/Tangent’s Dallen Brereton-Stiles has put in the work over the past few seasons and his results are on track to see him realize his Olympian dream in the near future. He won the Canadian Championships (UCI), BC Provincial Championship and has finally earned the BMX Canada National Champion title, and all in one year! Good timing, as the Coquitlam-based rider will enter the Junior Men’s class in 2026. Daylight’s Jasper Han had the chance to take a run for the title but didn’t make his final on Friday, leaving him with No.2 on the season.
Daylight’s Logan Lee won the amateur Girl’s title in 2024 but with Allie McLean stepping up her game and Arizona’s Chase Burian in the house, Tiffany Brosius was in control of her destiny in the red barn. Dangergirl’s, Elle Foo-Donais won her main and hoped that Brosius would finish second or lower.
Putting an exclamation mark on a great season,
Superclass Saturday Aloha
LEADING LADIES:
‘Retro’ Rosemary Adams and Laura Stewart are all smiles off track but they were all business in the battle for the Women’s Cruiser title. Stewart edged out Adams for the title and went on to win her 20” class too!
Tiffany blew the doors off 15-16 Girls and captured yet another BMX Canada National Title.
In the Cruiser classes, reigning champ Syndyt/LSG’s Jennifer Bitz was sidelined for much of the year so the Women’s title was wide open. It came down to a battle between Laura Stewart and Rosemary Adams and all eyes were on Stewart after Adams won her 36-40 main. The Coal Hills crew were on their feet when Stewart dusted her class to capture her first National Title – A well-deserved win for the hardworking moto mom from the Island.
Ontario’s Greg Bidwell (On Red Racing) made the trek out West in pursuit of the Men’s cruiser title and a showdown with reigning champion, Bike Supplies’ Randy Riches. Bidwell won the battle on Friday and Saturday to put himself within striking distance of Riches and Daylight’s Drew Solmes for the overall Men’s cruiser crown. Solmes wrapped up the title, winning the stacked 16 Cruiser class main, long before Bidwell’s last ditch effort to pass Riches in turn three went bust. RR1 still scored the Nat No.2 after a tough year recovering from injuries.
As the dust settled and the champions were busy savouring their victories, the rest of us are already looking ahead to the 2026 season.
MAX IS BACK: You know that feeling when your year has been a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs, good laps, lame ducks, and everything in the middle? That sums up Max Ganakovsky’s year but he laid down a decisive lap to capture Superclass on Friday. Boom!
2025 CANADIAN CHAMPIONS
SUPER SISTERS: Tiffany (58) and Makayla (15) Brosius each walked away with a National Championship title. Tiffany dabbled in Superclass, winning the Friday event in what could be the class she sets her sights on in 2026, setting up a true showdown of the sisters.
2025 National Champions received the Champions Cup, Number plate and a sweet paddleboard from Fanatic.

FIRST JUMP SPECIAL: Spencer Reaux, Marshall Warner, and Xanon Santana find their lines in 13x.
Words by: Bianka Lathan Photos by:James Pennucci
On the front lines at Battlefield Nationals, NOVA BMX attracted top national-level racers from all directions, with one goal in mind: to cross the finish line first.
Earlier this year, NOVA BMX underwent a complete track rebuild, increasing the technical difficulty on each straight. Only three obstacles remained the same, their signature asphalt turns, with the first turn setting the tone for each race. Every racer was faced with a split-second decision to send it, stay low, or commit to the inside line and aggressively carve underneath the lead rider. If the timing and execution weren’t right, the chances of hitting NOVA’s wall were imminent.
With the Grands countdown on and Battlefield Nationals as one of the last three races for riders to boost National Age Group points, Friday started with a bang. The first shot was heard during morning practice when
Logan Wiggins, a 12-year-old expert, set his sights on executing the infamous wall ride in the first turn, keeping the tradition alive. After posting on USABMX’s social media channels, his feat didn’t go unnoticed, generating an overwhelming response in likes, comments, shares, and reposts.
As the first gate dropped for Day One racing, turn one generated big moves from all ranks of racers on the Battlefield. Girls’ experts led the way. In the 11 Girls Experts main event, Tatum Welborn found herself behind on the first straight in position five and needed to dig deep. Welborn strategically positioned herself perfectly inside entering the first turn and carved it hard, allowing her to exit ahead of the two lead riders, Brianna Robb and Zahara Urena. Headed down the second straight, three wide and carving it up again in turn two, Welborn shot to the lead. Robb and Urena battled for second and third as she claimed the first win of the weekend in her class. With a storm on the way, Days Two and Three of racing were combined into one. One of the biggest moments was the main event of the 16-year-old boys’ class. Mario Bertolli was hunting for another win after Day One.
ON THE CHARGE: Cashton Benge leads the 17-20x semi with fast and ferocious racers in tow.
Several racers, including Evan Douglass, had Bertolli in their crosshairs. From the drop of the gate and through the first and second turns, Douglass maintained his speed, waiting for the right moment to close the gap. Staying calm and following his plan to “not panic,” Douglass picked the line in the last turn he felt would give him the most momentum on the last straight. Inch by inch, his speed increased, with a final push for the win at the finish line.
To close out Day Two, the side-by-side racing continued among the expert ranks, with Weber and Bramer battling it out all the way to the finish line, with Bramer sniping a Day Two win in 21-25 Expert. The intensity didn’t stop there; next up, K. Bjerk led the pack until N. Dawson went topside on the last turn and took the lead from K. Bjerk for the win and a finish line review for K. Berk and Godwin.
With adrenaline still high, day three kicked off with a bang, with racers ready to regroup and apply lessons learned from Day Two. After tight battles and mixed-up finishes in 15-16 expert girls Day One and Two, this was the class to watch in the main event. At the drop of the gate, Lily Sutherland commanded the first straight, leading the way, with Kenadie Neelan looking for a way in. Heading side by side into the third turn, the crowd held their breath as Sutherland held her line, leaving Neelan coming out from the high side of the turn. Keeping the momentum, Neelan gained speed through the rhythm section and at the very last second took the win.
The entire weekend of racing at the Battlefield proved one thing: it’s not over till it’s over.
All hands were on deck late in the evening for the USABMX crew, packing up Big Red, before the first sign of rain. As the doors closed, a sigh of relief and a sense of pride spread amongst the crew. Proving that teamwork really makes the dream work, thankful for all the BMX riders, families, friends, and volunteers who pushed through to complete two races in one day. That’s what BMX is all about!

Under the blaze of the Florida sun, Tampa BMX transforms into the ultimate pressure cooker for training; and the transformation for the 2025 USA BMX Gator Nationals is no exception. As the secondto-last stop of the regular season, every lap around the track carries extra weight. Title hopes tighten, rankings shuffle, and riders from across the country descend on Tampa knowing this is one of their final chances to make a statement before the season’s grand finale. From the drop of the first gate to the chaos of last-chance motos, the Gator Nationals deliver the kind of edge-of-your-seat racing that defines USA BMX. Known to the BMX media world as the Pro Training grounds, Tampa BMX offers fast straights and tight turns,
WHITE LINED: Ava Corley and Double A Alexis Alden meet at the white line down the first straight giving us a glimpse into their future Women Pro battles to come.
forcing racers to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. For the Pro/Am racing, that uncomfortableness came with a full rack of eight carving through turn one, fighting for their slot and the drive down the second straight. Through the Pro/Am action, Ava Corley took on the challenge, doubling up her wins with Riley Jordan and Alexis Alden splitting the seconds and Sadie Herrera staying consistent
with a pair of thirds. On the Men’s side Jack Davis and Josh McLean were the two switching off the top step, while Rayne Lankford and Tyler Henry stayed consistent in second and third.
As the last stop on the East, National points and rider confidence were at the top of riders’ to dos. Catching eyes through practice and early rounds, Violet Kraatz showed off her Floridian speed and skill in 14x Girls, taking all three wins in the competitive class. The trend continued into 15-16x Girls and 17-20x Women with Landon Burian and Alexis Alden bringing their broom to the finishline on Sunday, adding a few points to their National points dust pan. Racing on into the 12x class, it was a bar-bumping battle for the win and the 19 rider points that came with it. The racing intensified on Saturday with Trenton Paxman, Jackson Stauffer, and Murilo Moratelli on the charge. Going onetwo-three through the third straight, Stauffer turned on the jets down the last straight, stretching out and claiming the win at the line. In another 19-rider class, the 13-yearolds fought for their highest score of the weekend. On Friday and Sunday, it was the Andres Andrade show, but Saturday saw The Chimp taking a wire-to-wire win. Cameron Janczewski has been in the mix throughout the season, but the win around Tampa on Saturday seems like a new step in his BMX career.
To round us out the largest class of the weekend was 17-20x. The premier amateur class in the sanction, 17-20x brought 26 and 25 riders to Matthew Weerts’ Friday and Saturday wins. With plenty of gate starts at Tampa BMX under his tires, Weerts went wire to wire the first two days but once the rider count dipped down to 23, Sean Day wanted a win for himself, taking the final win by only 0.04 seconds ahead of Weerts.
SIMON SAYS: Tharel (Chucky) Simon says lets take a hot lap in 9 Cruiser with Nathan Larsen keeping him honest down the first straight.
THE AUSSIE AND THE TEXAN: Jack Davis and Rayne Lankford show off their Tampa BMX speed with some Pro/Am racing before they dive into their #GrandsPrep.
BATTLE OF THE WEEKEND: 15x class at the Gator Nationals brought Matt Badanik and Kaiden Ireland elbow to elbow into turn one all three days, with some fireworks and fast laps in Tampa.
PROFILE’S ROCKSTAR: Remy Sessa ignites any track she rides with skill and young talent, making the Gator Nationals just a stop along her impressive 2025 season.

The regular season always ends with a little tension in the air, but at Black Mountain BMX, it feels electric. As October fades into Halloween weekend, the USA BMX Fall Nationals mark the final chapter of the regular season, where costumes mix with cameras, candy bowls sit next to clipboards, and every lap matters just a little bit more. Set against the iconic backdrop of Black Mountain BMX, one of the most recognizable and revered tracks in the world, this stop isn’t just another race; it’s a hunt.
Points battles tighten, last-chance moves get made, and riders lay everything on the line knowing there’s no next weekend to fix it. Under desert skies and fall temps, the Fall Nationals deliver that perfect blend of edge and energy, equal parts celebration and pressure. It’s Halloween at the track, but for racers chasing titles, this isn’t a
BAR TO BAR: 13x Girls brought the heat under the lights with Zoey Barnes, Sequoia Gomolicke, and Aven Beaty down the first straight.
walk down the street. This is the final test before the season gives way to the sport’s greatest stage. Loading up for the weekend, the girls’ club had plenty of names filling the chutes who would be at the top of NAG and National points come late November. In 12x Girls, Cali Kopetskie and Savannah Priest battled around the dirt track and looked to settle the score for the final weekend of racing. While they each took home a win on Friday and Saturday, the two couldn’t avoid carnage on Sunday, bringing Zoey Lomeli to the spotlight and the top step of the 12x Girls podium. And 13x Girls, the story of the weekend was that of grit. Sequoia Gomolicke started the weekend off with a win; however, a Saturday main event crash had her fans and support team on the
edge of their seats. Come Sunday, Gomolicke powered through the pain to get her second win of the weekend and head to Tulsa on a win. Up into the big 24 rider class, 15-16x Girls brought all of the class’s heavy hitters to one final weekend. With Arizona and California filling the main event motto sheet, it was the Montana native, Addison Thompson, who once again put her Belgrade-born skill out front.
Now, for most of the Expert boys racing, it was all about turn two, but Saturday’s main events saw a turn three move from one of the young gun classes that is up there with the most iconic race laps at Black Mountain BMX. John Kerr from about three bikes back out of turn two, reeled in the competition down the third straight. Finding the open door in turn three,
ONE LOVE: The Fall Nationals got a cool addition to the competiton with the Raising Cane’s Fastest 30’ competition. These two are taking home bragging rights and a Box Combo for their post race fuel.
Kerr bumped and ran as fast as he could, landing Kerr and his teammate, Jacob Colwell, in the top two spots on the podium. But let’s rewind back to turn two. Sixteen Expert saw the fast and ongoing battle between Cutter Godaire and Justin Perkins around their local training grounds. Justin Perkins started off the weekend with a hot lap like no other under the lights on Friday night. He found the fast holeshots again on both Saturday and Sunday, but it was turn two where Cutter found his lead. Going wide and slingshotting himself around the turn, Godaire made the pass clean on Saturday; however, on Sunday, elbows bumped, and Justin Perkins found the wrong side of the scale. The 17-20x must’ve taken a mental note about the turn two move because Deegan Brown pulled the picture-perfect replica for his 35 rider Saturday win.

2025 USA BMX NATIONAL NO.1 GIRL CRUISER
REMY SESSA: IMPACTING THE NEW WAVE OF YOUNG RACERS
Hailing from Punta Gorda, Florida, and originally launching her BMX journey in Texas, 10-year-old Remy Sessa is part of a new generation reshaping the future of BMX racing. At an age when many are still discovering the sport, Remy is already setting a standard, combining speed, power, and creativity in every lap she takes. Her racing style is powerful yet playful, making her a standout on the National scene and earning her the nickname, “The Rockstar.” In a rapidly growing field of young lady BMX racers, Remy
isn’t just keeping pace: she’s helping lead the charge. Remy’s BMX story began almost as soon as she could walk. Starting at just two years old, she quickly developed a natural comfort on the bike that set her apart from her peers. From her earliest motos, it was clear she raced with confidence and curiosity, never afraid to try something new. That fearless approach has become a defining trait, allowing Remy to progress faster than many riders her age while inspiring other young girls lin-
ing up beside her at the gate. Recognizing Remy’s passion and potential, the Sessa family committed fully to her growth, eventually relocating to Florida to provide access to top-tier training environments. At tracks like Charlotte BMX and Sarasota BMX, Remy continues to sharpen her skills, flowing through rhythm sections, linking jumps with precision, and challenging herself on features typically tackled by older riders. Her willingness to push beyond expectations is what separates her from the
pack and positions her as a pioneer for young female racers who now see what’s possible at such a young age.
Beyond the track, Remy represents a shift in BMX culture. Today’s young lady racers aren’t just participating, they’re competing, progressing, and redefining the standard. Remy’s presence on the gate sends a powerful message: girls belong at the front of the race fandom. Her combination of determination and joy reminds the BMX community that excellence and fun can coexist, and that the future of women’s BMX is arriving sooner than ever.
Behind every rising star is a strong support system, and for Remy Sessa, that foundation now includes her Profile Racing family. Known for its close-knit culture and deep roots in BMX, Profile Racing provides an environment built on camaraderie, mentorship, and belief in the rider. With her family, her team, and her own drive fueling the journey, Remy Sessa is more than a standout 10-year-old, she’s helping blaze the trail for the next generation of young women in BMX racing.

ROSTERED
Impact BMX Racing just etched their name into the record books. The Las Vegas, Nevada based crew captured the 2025 USA BMX National No.1 Bike Shop Team Title, marking the first national championship in the program’s history, and it didn’t come by chance. Forged under desert skies and sharpened with daily laps at Whitney Mesa BMX, Impact built their season on grit, consistency, and a tight-knit team culture that thrives on hard work. From local motos to national
mains, this squad raced with purpose, pride, and a belief that they win and lose together. The No.1 plate and silver cup is more than a trophy, it’s proof that dedication at the track, commitment to the craft, and a strong home base can take a bike shop team all the way to the summit. For Impact BMX Racing, 2025 wasn’t just a breakthrough year, its the beginning of a new legacy.

Factory Full Tilt/Radio didn’t just win the 2025 USA BMX National No.1 Team Title, they owned it. Eight straight championships now sit on their resume, and at this point, dominance feels less like a phase and more like tradition. Built on relentless preparation, deep-roster horsepower, and a culture that supports riders to find the extra 1%, Factory Full Tilt/Radio topped podiums from January to Tulsa with precision and pressure-proof execution. From first motos to main event moments, every
rider, every lap, and every point mattered, and they capitalized on all of it. In a sport where consistency is king, Factory Full Tilt/Radio continued to set the standard, proving once again that the road to National No.1 still runs straight through their pit.

For 47 years, the Grand Nationals has fueled early morning gym sessions, late-night sprints, countless miles driven to local tracks, and, of course, the dreams of lifting the coveted Silver Cup. The 48th edition of the USA BMX Grand Nationals was no different, as more than 3,000 BMX racers prepared to put their riding to the test.
With a lot to talk about, let’s start with practice day. A long day filled with just the right amount of chaos, practice day tests both the track crew and riders as new lines are unlocked and the fresh track packs in with fast speeds. The big focus area of the day was the split straights. With jumps on the left that benefit tap manuals and confident air time control, riders were immediately put in fight-or-flight mode as they took their practice laps. Both sides of the split straight required speed and skill but the right side of the second straight required confidence as well. With Marshall Warner being the first to send the big side, more and more racers peeled right to test their Pro set ability. 34 feet of sand and a steep landing, the case pad saw plenty of use throughout Wednesday’s practice laps; however, three racers took the arena to another planet during Pro practice. In a passing of the torch, Barry Nobles brought himself, Josh Jolly, and Marshall Gehrke together to wow the crowd and flex on the competition with a Pro set backflip train. With what is now a Grands tradition, the three backflips were a precursor to the ability and fun that was about to be had in Tulsa. Track packed and refined, earlymorning sunrays peek in through cracked doors and SageNet windows; it’s officially race day in Tulsa. The 2025 Race of Champions brings state and provincial racers to the track not only for adrenalinepumping practice laps but for the coveted Red Plate. Before we dive into the amateurs battling for the ROC win, the pro classes fought
for their last chance points toward the title chase. In every pro class on Thursday, the action started early. For the Vets, it was the Nic Long show, Jeff Upshaw, Corey Reid, and Alan Hudson definitely still in the mix, but The Captain showed the class he was clipped in and meant business. Nic Long took the ROC win followed by Matias Montenegro and Emilio Falla on the 2-3. The ABA Futures Women’s main was an all-out battle, with every top contender of the season lining up in a stacked final. When the gate dropped, Derin Merten exploded out front and never looked back, leaving Addison Thompson and Preslie Gould to fight it out behind her. Merten claimed a dominant win, topping the ROC podium ahead of Thompson, Gould and the rest of the field.
In the Futures Men main, a new name stole the spotlight as Latvian rider Kristers Apels made an immediate impact in his debut at Grands and on a traditional hill. Apels shot to the front and powered to the win, with Ryder Santos and Marshall Gehrke giving chase. A late outside move by Gehrke secured second, sending Santos to the deck and reshuffling the pack behind him.
The Women Pro class brought serious speed, but it was their precision and line choice that set them apart all weekend, especially by attacking the pro section
from the top side.
Molly Simpson and Payton Ridenour set the tone early, and it paid off when the gate dropped for the ROC main. Simpson extended her regular-season dominance, with Lauren Reynolds and Ridenour earning their first podiums of the weekend.
Thursday morning was a pressure cooker for Men Pro, trimming a deep field of 61 riders down to just 16 through smart, tactical racing. Kamren Larsen weathered an early slide-out but bounced back strong, grabbing the holeshot in the ROC main and charging to his first ROC win, jumping himself squarely into the title hunt. With Cam Wood and Eddy Clerte completing the podium, the Pro classes set the tone for the electric Amateur mains battling for Red Plates.
From start to finish, the Amateur Race of Champions mains delivered unfiltered excitement. With too many moments to count, here are five standout laps and racers from Friday afternoon.
First up were the 15–16 and 17–20 Women’s Cruiser mains, where Kimberly Porter and Riley Jordan laid down two scorching laps. Both riders share something
CLOSE QUARTERS: Hunting for the inside can be risky against Chad Street, especially with a second straight dogleg.
THREE WIDE: 8x Girls put their elbow to the test down the first straight with Marlee Holladay, Kylie Franklin, and Skylar Orn over the first jump.
THE NEW BATTLE: Both Riley Jordan and Kate Sifford have been climbing the ranks and in Tulsa we saw a few laps with the pair in a tight battle all the way to the line.
in common: a massive jump in speed and confidence during the 2025 season. Exploding out of turn one, Porter and Jordan stretched their leads early, never needing to look back, crossing the line in celebration and earning new Red Plates. Next came the 9 Cruiser showdown. Mason Walmsley grabbed a breakout lead through turn two, but Cash Adams wasn’t done yet. Spotting a sliver of daylight on the white line, Adams slid his wheel into the mix, took the lead, and pushed Walmsley high, sending him unfortunately into the dirt in turn three.
How about a cruiser class combo? Fifteen-yearold Matt Badanik, quickly becoming a podium regular, was on fire all afternoon in the Tulsa turns. In his 15 Cruiser main, Badanik found an opening on the inside of Camron Pyper down the second straight, bumping and running his way to the Cruiser Red Plate. Moments later, in 15 Expert, the door opened again. Bar-to-bar with Kaiden Ireland into the Tulsa turn, contact on the carve sent Ireland down onto Badanik’s back tire, collecting the leader and opening the door for Hayden “The Animal” Passanisi to grab clean track and the 2025 Red Plate.
Finally, our favorite ROC battle of the day. The 21–25X class brought nonstop heat, but the one-

TULSA TURN: Savannah Priest took on the point and led a stack of fast ladies out of the Tulsa Turn.

on-one between Benny Sereni and Ronan Weber was an all-out war. Trading elbows in turn one, the cat-and-mouse game was on. While Sereni built speed in Bay Area colors, Powerlite’s Weber slipped underneath to steal the lead. It didn’t last long. Sereni used every inch of turn two to stay in it, powering back past Weber across the
The ROC crowns champions but also gives media and fans a great insight into who has adapted to the track at hand and who has some added confidence for the Grands laps coming fast. The action picked up right away as the lights shut out and the Pro Championship Finals began its laps into the history books. Kicking off the show, the ABA Future warmed up the crowd. One lap, no crap all out for the Grand win and to decide the overall for the season. On both sides of the class, the Men and Women saw the race winner take the overall, Derin Merten and Matthew Weerts.
The first lap of the Night Show loaded into the gate with the ABA Futures
Women ready to battle to the stripe. Remember when we mentioned Derin Merten’s dominant ROC win? She was back for more, determined to close out her Futures season on top. Getting the pop and powering over the first jump, Merten and Preslie Gould locked into the top two spots, with Addison Thompson and Sadie Herrera fighting for third. Wireto-wire, Merten took the Night Show win and clinched the inaugural ABA Futures Women overall but one win wasn’t enough, later that night she followed it up with the coveted NAG 5 Challenge victory, joined on the podium by Alexis Alden and Addison Thompson. The NAG 5 Challenge Men brought their usual chaos, a true who’s-who of the amateur ranks. With four heavy hitters from 17–20x in the mix, eyes darted between Sean Day in gate 1, Drake Velador in gate 5, and Ethan Popovich in gate 8. Splitting the field, Profile Racing’s Drake Velador took charge, shutting down Day on the inside and E-Pop on the outside, opening clean track for his first NAG 5 Challenge win.
In the ABA Futures Men class, Matthew Weerts linked a fast gate with smooth track speed for the win. Coming into the weekend third in points, fans watched as Ethan Popovich and Marshall Gehrke tangle down the first straight. Unaffected, Weerts, Ryder Santos, and Deegan Brown rolled single file to lock in the ABA Futures podium.
Three Mains. The USA BMX Pro Championship Final stands alone as the sole BMX race in the world to bring three main event laps, showcasing consistancy and high adrenaline racing to decide the race day
winner and the USA BMX Pro Champions. In Vet Pro, it was still the Captain’s ship, with the rest of the field battling in the cargo hold. Three laps, three wins, Nic Long earned his first Grands victory. But Jeff Upshaw’s steady riding through the pack sealed the deal for the Vet Pro Title, sending him to the stage to hoist his first Silver Cup with his pit crew by his side under the lights.
In the Women’s class, the field split early, big senders up front and the dog leg battlers fighting behind them. Leading the charge was Canadian phenom Molly Simpson, followed through the air by Payton Ridenour, Lauren Reynolds, and Daleny Vaughn. After going undefeated at both the ROC and Grands, Simpson stamped her name into the history books. Sweeping all three mains, becoming the first Canadian in 20 years to win the Women Pro Title, joining Samantha Cools in the national record books.
And rounding out the night, the last Pro laps of 2025: Cam Wood looking to defend his title, Kam Larsen riding high off his ROC win, and Rookie Pro Josh Jolly chasing a story book ending to his rookie season. With Izaac Kennedy missing the main and Cam Wood in control of the title chase, mains one and two saw Wood and Larsen trade wins, albut locking up Wood’s second title. As main three snapped out of the gate, it brought the U.S. duo back to the front with the Grands win on the line. Out of the gate, Larsen dove inside, bunching up World Champ Arthur Pilard
and the pack, clearing the way for the Americans. Two riders, two wins, Larsen sweeping the week with the ROC and Grands victories, while Wood capped the season by lifting his second Men Pro National No.1 title.
If Friday night is the most anticipated night in BMX, Sunday is easily the most chaotic. Grands glory, National Titles, and pride-filled tears take over the SageNet Center. But before we get to the Amateur and Team Title winners, three stories reminded us why Sunday night at the Grands is pure magic.
Families train together, travel together, and in the Erwin family’s case, they win together. In 41-45 Women’s Cruiser and 12 Expert, Sheri Erwin and Sutton Erwin both rode their way into the winner’s circle, earning tall
THE FREEAGENT: With “ME” in her sponsorship line, Payton Ridenour proved her worth to BMX brands, sending it big and fast through Women Pro.
CAPTAIN LONG: Riding lights out in Tulsa, Nic Long took his training to another level ahead of Tulsa and it showed with dual ROC and Grands wins.
Grands trophies and matching NAG No.3 plates, a true showcase of a bond built through countless hours on two wheels.
In 51–55 Women Cruiser and 51 & Over Expert Women, Chrissy Piper, the mind behind High Five, showed grit and perseverance after a summer CML leukemia diagnosis. After coming unclipped out of the gate in her Cruiser main, Piper fought through the pack, making her final pass down the third straight, then backed it up with a wire-to-wire win in class. Completing her doubledouble, she proved her diagnosis won’t stop her from chasing what she loves.
And from one of our favorite ladies to one of our favorite little dudes, Coye Weidner had himself a year. Even with a mid-season injury, he rolled into Grands as the one to beat in 11x. Trusting his training, he laid down a near-perfect lap, then gave us the celebration of the night, spotting his dad along the fence and pointing to him as he rode into the winner’s circle for his second Grand National win and back-toback NAG 1 title.
Being in the hunt for the USA BMX National No.1 Cruiser and Amateur titles brings a special kind of pressure. Your name and photo hanging from the rafters, BA’s voice echoing
through the building, and fans in the stands dissecting every possible outcome. For Chase Burian and the Girls Cruiser title contenders, that pressure hit fast, but the Rockstar/RIFT/Tangent rider rose to the moment, dominating the 13-14 Girls Cruiser class to earn her first National Title and a bit of family history. The Burians became the first siblings to pass the No.1 plate from one to the other, cementing their place in BMX lore.
On the Boys’ Cruiser side, things got even more intense. Coming into Tulsa with the points lead, Nico Moulton was the favorite, but Luke Peapers’ lights-out ride cracked the title chase wide open for Jackson Stauffer and Scott Felt. Stauffer held the hot seat for what felt like hours, after his powerful holeshot and a clean run to the winner’s circle, though his celebration waited on the outcome of 51-55 Cruiser. When Felt went down in turn one, Stauffer’s stress turned into pure relief as he secured his first National No.1 Cruiser Title and another Silver Cup for the Answer BMX legacy.
And then came the Grands magic.
TITLE WINNING LAP:
A wheel ahead over the first jump, Chase Burian held nothing back for her Title winning lap.
Sunday is its own beast, each lap reshuffling the deck and creating new paths to the stage, the Amateur Girls Title chase captured that feeling perfectly. After Tenisyn McKee took over the hot seat with her 9 Expert Girls win, classes 14, 15-16, and 17-20 all had a shot to steal it. Logan Lee won 14 Girls. Valentina Jimenez spoiled the four-way 15-16 Title battle, bringing it down to 17-20 Expert Women. Four riders, all needing a win, Alexis Alden in gate 1, Derin Merten in 3, Rita Fedewa in 4, and Sadie Herrera in 6. By the time they landed into turn one, the Race Inc crew was pulling out the brooms. Merten found clean track once again and sealed the 2025 USA BMX National No.1 Girls Title. From off the banner to hoisting the Silver Cup, she won every lap available in Tulsa. Her face in the winner’s circle said it all, pure shock as it hit her that she had just claimed the
THE POINT: Finding his dad across the stripe Coye Weidner made sure the crowd knew who his win was for.
NAT (with a T) No.1 title. One Amateur cup remained. Dozens of riders had taken a turn in the hot seat throughout the day, but as expected, it all funneled down to the always-stacked 17-20x class. With 146 riders, four names remained in contention: Tommy Bruney and Ethan Popovich needed a win; Matthew Weerts and Sean Day could clinch with a second. Out of turn one, Latvian Kristers Apels controlled the lead while Sean Day charged into a three-wide battle with his own title hopes on the line. Over the Pro section and into the Tulsa turn, the pack funneled into single file, two blue Full Tilt jerseys sitting in the 2-3. The entire SageNet Center held its breath as everyone suddenly realized who was in the two. Sean Day. Moments later, the crowd erupted. Full Tilt’s section roared, fans shouted their congratulations, and BA’s “Welcome to the Stage!” crowned Day with his second USA BMX National No.1 Amateur Title. As the dust settled inside the SageNet Center and the final echoes of BA’s voice faded into the rafters, the 48th USA BMX Grand Nationals once again proved why it stands alone as the sport’s greatest stage. From first gate drops to last-lap heroics, the weekend delivered every emotion that defines BMX: pressure, heartbreak, resilience, redemption, and pure history-making triumph. Champions were crowned, legends were solidified, and new stars announced themselves with authority. Families celebrated, teams roared, and riders of every age etched their names into Grands history one lap at a time. When the final Silver Cups were raised by Impact BMX Racing and Factory Full Tilt/Radio, one truth remained unmistakable: there is nothing in the world like USA BMX Grand National.
FAST FLATS: Charlie Noyola, Trenton Paxman, and Pierce Collingwood laid down their power down the first straight in 12x.

RISE at the Grands:
How BMX is Changing Lives in Tulsa
By Tyler Russell, USA BMX Foundation
Each year, the USA BMX Grand Nationals brings together the fastest riders in the world, but this year another kind of victory unfolded at the Tulsa Expo Center. It was a victory rooted not only in speed, but in resilience, growth, confidence, and opportunity.
Twenty riders from the USA BMX Foundation’s RISE Program, which stands for Resiliency, Inclusion, Social Awareness and Education, competed at the Grand Nationals representing far more than a team. RISE, created in partnership with the Terence Crutcher Foundation and proudly sponsored by Hyper Bicycles, equips young people with the tools to grow both on and off the track. Through this 12-week experience, participants learn to ride with confidence, race at the Hardesty National Stadium, develop socialemotional learning, and discover belief in themselves. This year, that growth was on full display. They did not simply attend the Grands. They shined.
A Milestone Year for RISE
Two thousand twenty-five marked a significant moment for the RISE Program. This fall, the USA BMX Foundation and the Terence Crutcher Foundation proudly celebrated the graduation of our 10th cohort. It was a powerful affirmation of what the program has accomplished in North Tulsa.
Since its launch in 2022, almost 300 students have completed the program. Each graduate earns a Hyper BMX bike, helmet, jersey, lifetime USA BMX membership, real racing experience, and most importantly a strengthened sense of confidence and resilience.
This year also marked a historic first for the program. Gabriel Harold claimed the National Championship in the 9 Novice class, becoming the first RISE athlete ever to earn a national title. His achievement reflected both his personal determination and the growing strength of the RISE pathway that continues to elevate young riders from North Tulsa.
Reaching 10 cohorts is more than a milestone. It is proof that young people in North Tulsa are gaining access to experiences that build long term success.
The Meaning of Resilience: Anthony Wichita’s Journey
There is no better example of the spirit of the RISE Program than the journey of Anthony Wichita. After Anthony completed his main event on Sunday, Dr Tiffany Crutcher leaned down and reminded him of something powerful:
“Remember the ‘R’ in RISE stands for Resilience.”
For Anthony, this word is not just a lesson on paper. It is a description of the life he has lived.
Anthony entered foster care at age five following significant trauma and instability. He and his brother Dakota, who is also a RISE Graduate, were moved through multiple homes. They were frequently separated and struggled to feel safe or supported in any setting. Anger became a shield that touched every part of his day to day life. By sixth grade, he had attended three schools and spent two years in inpatient care. He was standing at a crossroads that worried everyone who cared about him.
His mother, DeAnna Cooper, described this period in her own words:
“From then until eighth grade, he attended three schools, spent two years in inpatient care in Arkansas, and struggled in every environment he entered. His anger was destroying him, and I honestly believed he would end up in juvenile detention by high school. But he didn’t.
I truly believe the combination of your program and his school (Crossover Prep) changed his direction. I know there is always the possibility that old patterns could resurface, but right now, he is thriving. He is working hard, pushing himself, and showing what resiliency can do.
I believe deeply in the mission of this program. I believe it saves kids, reroutes their future, strengthens them mentally and physically, and teaches them that resiliency builds long-term success.”
When Anthony entered Crossover Prep and later the RISE Program, something shifted. At RISE, he found structure, positive mentorship, accountability, encouragement, and a sport that gave him purpose. He practiced the meaning of resilience every Tuesday during track laps, coaching sessions, falls, recoveries, and breakthroughs.
Today Anthony is thriving. He is focused, determined and growing into a leader. His fourth place finish at the Grand Nationals in the 15 Novice class was far more than a race result. It was an expression of how far he has come.
His mother captured it perfectly.
“He is the perfect example of RESILIENCE - both in BMX and in life.”
A Team, A Community, A Future
From the first gate drop at the Race of Champions to the mains of the Grand Nationals, the youth of RISE demonstrated who they are becoming. They are leaders, competitors, scholars, mentors and resilient young people who carry the strength of the North Tulsa community.
With 10 cohorts completed and nearly 300 graduates, the USA BMX Foundation remains committed to expanding opportunity and transforming lives through BMX, mentorship, education, and community expansion.
When young people rise, their community rises with them.
RISE Results from Grands Race of Champions
Landri Harris - Third overall, 12 Novice
Naamiy Johnson - Sixth overall, 13 Novice
Grand Nationals
Gabriel Harold - First overall, 9 Novice (National Champion!)
Landri Harris - Fifth overall, 12 Novice
Anthony Wichita - Fourth overall, 15 Novice
In addition to these accomplishments, six riders were chosen from the 2025 RISE cohorts who earned the opportunity to compete at the Grand Nationals and also received an additional Hyper race bike. These riders were Darian Edmond, Tim Newton Jr., Nyah Johnson, Naamiy Johnson, Jay Johnson, and Micah Banks. Their achievements reflect much more than athletic talent. They represent dedication, hours of practice, consistency, resiliency, and the courage to race on the biggest stage in BMX.
