The 2026 FLY Racing BMX line has landed! The first name in BMX, FLY Racing has been dedicated to the sport for decades. Innovation in both safety and design is at the heart of the brand; no product is too advanced, no look too on trend. Since the jump, FLY Racing has stood behind BMX and continues to push forward into tomorrow. Visit FLYRacing.com to see the new look and come join the #FLYFam.
The dust has settled in Copenhagen, and racers from every corner of the globe are heading home with memories, lessons, and for some, the coveted new World Plate. From the youngest eight-year-olds who took their first laps on the biggest stage to the seasoned Elites who battled bar-to-bar for glory, the 2025 BMX Racing World Championships showcased the very best of what our sport is all about— speed, determination, and heart. Each rider, no matter
their result, carried the pride of representing their country and their community on the world’s toughest BMX track. As the plates are strapped on and the next races appear on the calendar, we couldn’t be prouder to be part of every racer’s journey to the top. The Worlds are more than a single weekend—they’re a milestone in the ongoing story of every athlete, a reminder that hard work, sacrifice, and passion open doors to the global stage.
When it comes to BMX racing, every pedal stroke matters and the Hero Chariot Crank System delivers the kind of precision, power, and efficiency that racers demand. CNCmachined from a carefully selected mix of aluminum alloys, each piece strikes the balance between strength and weight savings. The arms are crafted from 7075-T6, the spindle from 7050-T6, and the chainrings from 6061-T6 giving riders pro-level performance built to last. With arm lengths ranging from 165mm to 180mm and chainring options from 39T to 49T, the Chariot adapts to every rider’s style and track conditions. Add in full BB30 compatibility, a CNC’d 4-bolt spider option, and a featherweight 789 grams per set, and you’ve got a crank system that doesn’t just keep up with the pace of modern BMX, it sets it.

What makes her story even more remarkable is how early it all began. Long before national titles, world plates, and international travel, Logan was just a kid discovering the thrill of two wheels at her local track. The spark that would grow into a full-fledged racing career started in the most ordinary way, on a tiny bike, with oversized determination.
“I was riding a Walmart bike at the Calgary track,” Lee recalls with a laugh. “My dad had to chase me around because I was too small to make it up the hill on my own.” That image, tiny Logan barely three years old, legs too short to climb but heart already in the race, perfectly sums up the determination that’s driven her since. Her breakthrough moment came early. At just five years old, Lee traveled to the 2017 UCI World Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
“That’s when I started to notice all the fast girls,” she says. “Most of them were from the U.S., so we started to go to a lot of the USA BMX races.”
The competition lit a spark, and soon came clip shoes, structured training, and a passport full of stamps from chasing world-level events. Now, as a World Plate
holder and Canadian National No. 1, Logan’s not letting off the gas.
“You can’t cut any corners to get any faster,” she says.
“You’ve got to be very consistent with your training.”
That dedication has taken her across North America and beyond, including muddy World Championship tracks and Alberta winters that force creativity from her local scene. “A lot of parents back
home have been building training setups so we can still ride in the winter,” she says. “I just want to thank them for helping keep us going yearround.”
Despite all the accolades, Lee remains grounded. Whether she’s lining up at the big red barn in Chilliwack or a major UCI event in Europe, the mindset stays the same: show up, give her best, and learn something. “I don’t like to
think that, ‘Oh, I’m a world plate girl.’ I still feel like I’m in the same position, and I’ve got to do what I’ve been doing every year.”
Now a proud member of the Daylight Cycles crew, with their standout kits and strong support system, Lee is setting her sights on continued progression.
As she lines up next to the best in the world, Logan Lee isn’t chasing flash. She’s chasing progress.
“I like seeing where I’m at, if I’m becoming faster or if I’m falling behind, I have to do the work.” And if the track record’s any indication, she’s definitely gaining ground.
For Logan Lee, BMX is more than a sport, it’s a journey of growth, grit, and gratitude. Each lap teaches her something new, whether it’s handling the pressure of the world stage or braving Alberta’s icy winters with creative training. And as she looks ahead to more world-class competitions, Logan’s focus remains the same as it’s always been: keep pushing, keep learning, and keep riding toward whatever comes next.

It was a challenging year for Team Canada in Copenhagen but individually, there were some promising results. Looking back in time, 17-year-old Tory Nyhaug narrowly missed securing a bronze medal during his inaugural Junior Worlds in 2009. Tory would go on to earn a fifth at the 2016 Olympics and a Gold medal at the 2015 Pan-Am Game in Toronto.
This brings us to BC’s Lucas Zhou and his inspiring performance in the Junior Men’s final this year. Lucas had a poor start but managed to recover from last place to secure the bronze medal. He may very well be following a similar trajectory as Nyhaug, which bodes well for Canada.

The 9-year-old dynamo from North Vancouver rode the lap of her lifetime, twice! She just squeaked through in her semi final in a photofinish and then stepped it up in the final when it counted.
BMX Canada has teamed up with Cycling BC to supercharge the BMX scene across the Province. This means more support and resources for grassroots racing, coaching, rider development, and a pumped-up Provincial racing program. The partnership will create opportunities for athletes and tracks to share knowledge, grow their events, and participate in athlete and coach development programs.
Check out the new Race for the Border initiative at a pair of tracks on opposite sides of the Ontario border. Wolfe Creek, ON partnered up with Can-Am BMX in Goodells, Michigan where they offered special awards to those who raced both tracks in a single weekend.
With all the trade and border tension between our countries, this was a great way to work together to support riders on both sides of the line. Pretty cool awards EH? Nice job!
Alberta’s Logan Lee had to trade in her W3 this year but she was very much in the mix for a podium position again. She was challenging for bronze heading into the second turn but she literally slide out of contention.
1998 - Milton’s Bob Rowley on his way to winning Nationals.
2025 - Bob’s son Dayton working his way up the ranks.
FATHER SON
A good voice can make or break a weekend. Nanaimo’s Chris Johnson was the quarterback for the Harbour City Nationals and rocked the mic.
Back in the early 80’s, Dexter Harker was the voice of the CABA and was inducted into the Canadian BMX Hall of Fame last year.
Tabletoppin’ at the Provincials @ West Kootenay BMX - Rossland’s Rory Belter puts on a lot of miles traveling from his hometown in the Kootenays and does it with style.
Maxime Lessard and Virginie Blouin-Lessard of Sabrevois, Quebec are having a lot of fun at the races these days so why not celebrate with your kids on the podium. Félix, Zachary and Liam were all pretty stoked on their results and cool new awards at the Limestone Nationals and they would add to their haul throughout the weekend in Kingston. Rider first!
Saskatoon’s Steve Rosman has been a steady force in BMX for a few decades and showing no signs of slowing down. He now rides for the Launch BMX Team in Saskatchewan and didn’t get moto’d in Copenhagen!
As a 12-year-old-Novice girl, Ayvah Morton of Harrowsmith, Ontario, often finds herself racing against the boys. We caught up with her in staging and she was all smiles behind the scenes.
She was in the mix at the Limestone Nationals and managed a podium finish on her home track.

OipienIn the heart of the Okanagan Valley and wine country, the Summer National Tour dipped into Kelowna for the Firestorm Nationals. Kelowna BMX has been operating in the same location since 1982 and has held more National weekends than we can count. And one thing is for sure, they always have an amazing track and a great group of volunteers.
In preparation for this year’s tilt, their crew had recently applied glue to their track and that may have saved their weekend after Mother Nature decided to blanket the region in rain mid-rounds on Friday. Ironically, it may have prevented a real ‘firestorm’ in the drought-stricken valley, but their track held to the test.
The region is also well known for watersports and this fit perfectly with BMX Canada’s new National sponsor: Fanatic Paddleboards. At each of the stops on the Summer Series, a brand-new paddleboard is prized out to one lucky winner. Moto counts were 77, 80 and 78 for the weekend. Friday’s racing went off without delay, despite the rain. And with a full sheet of Factory and Trophy teams in the house. There were all kinds battles and subplots. For Novice and Intermediates, it’s a chance to test out their skills against riders from other tracks, a rite-of-passage for those aspiring to become experts. Zane Philcox of Kamloops is one of them and it’s clear that this guy won’t be terrorizing the Intermediate classes much longer. He would notch three straight wins, pushing himself that much closer to becoming an expert. Plus, this guy can boost the big jumps so watch for him to move up soon.
What to do when you have the World #1 and #2 in your class? You pretend your World #3 and go after them. That’s just what North Shore’s Autumn Zambo did for the first two days until she found an extra
ZACH ZINGS EM: There is little doubt that Abbotsford’s Zach Frier wants to retain his title this year. He didn’t win every lap but when it counted, nobody including Dallen Brereton-Stiles (W6), could beat the Factory Dangerboy star.
gear on Sunday, earning a well-deserved second place just behind the W1 of Tenisyn McKee of Washington. Often, winning your class, or at least a top three finish will give you and your fans something to cheer about. If you’ve hung around the Kelowna track long enough, then you’ll know who ‘Airtime’ is and this kid has already become a fan-favourite. North Van’s Jasper Han would get the results, but Elliott ‘Airtime’ Crawford jumped his way into a fourth and fifth for his efforts.
Kelowna was just the second event to feature the new Superclass series and both classes are catching fire. The Brosius sisters already have a mantle full of national titles but that didn’t stop Tiffany and Makayla from battling for the Superclass payday. Tiffany was unstoppable and cashed in for two big wins and then dusted the 15-16 Expert girls.
ALLIE OOP: Surrey’s Allie McLean is often seen chasing down Logan Lee and Elle Foo-Donais. This weekend she had them chasing her a few times and picked up a trio of seconds.
FLYIN’ FINLEY: 15 Expert is not an easy class to win or sweep, especially when you have a handful of cross-border shoppers from the USA in the house. Finley McHale-Boulter of Langley would go 3-2-2 on the weekend but ended up the most consistent of them all.
It was great to see the Superclass Men stretch it out after kicking off the series indoor’s at Chilliwack. Max Ganakovsky of Alberta, who lost the 2024 title to teammate Zach Frier, was back in action and looking for redemption. With two full racks, Zach Frier would have to be on his game and the reigning champ pulled out the win both days ahead of Ganakovsky who took a pair of seconds to nudge his way back into the chase. Taylor Otterson and Dallen Brereton-Stiles would each grab a third on the weekend.
The series heads East to Kingston BMX for the Limestone Nationals and then way back West to Nanaimo where we’ll get to race their new state-of-the-BMX-art facility at the Marie Davidson BMX Park. Until then, sprint, pull, repeat.
VICTORIA DAY: Victoria’s Jack Booth races in one of the biggest classes on the circuit - 11 Expert Boys. He found himself in the main all three days and a third on Saturday would be as close as he would get to Jaxon Woods, also from Victoria. Tough class!
HAILEYS HAUL: She may have just been scouted to be the official BMX Canada awards model. BMX runs deep in her family and soon she’ll be running the show in Prince George.

THE ALTERNATE: The Kaiser boys both made Canada’s World Championship team with Jakob (13), named as an alternate. Kingston was a great place to tune up before Copenhagen and on Day One, Jacob took the big win ahead of New York’s Max Marshall (11).

At last, riders in the Eastern provinces were set to do battle with an equal amount of Canadian and American riders all vying for those valuable national points. As part of the new BMX Canada Summer Series, sponsored by Fanatic Paddleboards, this would be the second stop in the tour and third overall in the full season.
Nestled into the Northwest corner of Woodbine Park, the downhill track has big, paved corners, a pro-section and serves up top-notch race action. It’s a true community event and the Kingston club manages to balance the intensity of national racing while keeping the event fun for everyone.
Crazy Eights: Riders from Ontario and Quebec would dominate the Novice results including Rohklin Hulme of Harrowsmith, a small community just North of the Kingston track. He worked his way through the qualifying motos and then dusted the comp in the mains all three days. Evelyn Sun of Aurora would keep him honest and ride in for the second.
In the 8-year-old Intermediate class, ‘Flyin’ Finnley Gail, of Kingston gave the hometown crowd something to cheer about! The rising star pulled out the win all three days with Chad Ryan of Verona snagging the second on both Friday and Saturday.
The 8-year-old Expert classes were dominated by US riders, but only Chase ‘Hollywood’ Reynolds of Mooresville, NC, could muster more than one win. He stomped the 8 Experts twice and then went undefeated in Cruiser, giving himself a big bump in National points for the US NAG chase.
SUPERCLASS comes alive!
The new Superclass (14-29) series, replacing ProAm, has already found traction at the Western Nationals and made its debut here on Saturday. Nicolai Martinez from Victoria, BC, made the trip out to
challenge Ontario’s best, but it was local Andrew Colling who would take the victory lap. Martinez pulled the second to keep himself in the top 10 standings and then blew the doors off his 16 Expert class all three days.
RILEY RULES: There were a lot of girls/women at the Limestone Nationals and one of the big winners was the Mad Rabbit. Riding like she was a local, Riley Jordan from Florida led most of her laps by a big margin, winning 17-20 Cruiser and class all three days. Those wins pushed her into the top 10 in her quest for NAG 1.
With the first National in Ontario now in the history books, Eastern riders will have a second shot at pumping up their scores when the Maple Leaf Nationals take over Milton, from August 15-17.
AT YOU : Representing the Stouffville club, Ivan Cheng gave his hometown something to cheer about with a pair of wins in 5 year old Novice. You can see that he has his sights set on something bigger in BMX!
LOCAL: Kingston’s Andrew Colling smiling after his Superclass win. Well deserved!
CHAMP: Nicolai Martinez, the reigning National Amateur Champion, made his yearly trip out to Ontario a good one. He cleaned up in 16 Expert and then snuck in for second behind Andrew Colling in Superclass.
local Austin Hicks (38) and Remington Wa ters of the US battled it out in the 6 Novice class, but only Hicks would find his way to a podium with a third on Sunday.
SIX PACK: Riley Jordan showing off her haul at the Limestone Nationals. The Mad Rabbit made the trip up from Florida a good one winning 17-20 women’s expert and cruiser all three days.
LEAPIN LEO: Leopold Therrien (9) rose above the W7 of Brady King on Saturday for the win in 15 Expert but the King would rule court on either side for a pair of wins. The Canadians were tough in this class and only Malakai Bergeron of St. Andrews would come close with a fifth on Day Two.

Atrip to Vancouver Island starts off feeling like a vacation the very moment you set foot on the ferry. Perhaps its the fresh sea breeze, the scenery in the Georgia Straight, or even some classic ferry-food. For many, it was a pleasant way to distract yourself from the anxiety of racing a brand new race track.
Nanaimo BMX was forced to take most of the 2024 season off to rebuild their entire track and facility. The outcome, a world-class track at the Marie Davidson BMX Park, was well worth the wait. For the club, it was the culmination of a journey that started many years ago and after the first gate had dropped, a collective sigh let out followed by smiles all around.
The new 5-metre start hill catapults riders into what is arguably now one of the top tracks in the country. Nanai mo’s new track features peaky doubles, an Aiden Webber Pro section, a tough rhythm section, paved corners, and it’s all smothered in a weather-resistant racing surface.
The Island is home to a growing community of female rac ers and many of the older cruiser classes had full classes. In 36-40 Women’s cruiser, Rosemary Adams, who has returned to BMX after a long layoff, bested her class with Devon Welsh from Union Bay a close second on Saturday. Desirae Morgan used home track advantage to earn a trio of seconds behind Washington’s Bethany Price in 41-45. Price would then top Coal Hill’s Laura Stewart in class, but Stewart rode away with three wins in cruiser and sits atop the National standings with only two weekends to go.
The men’s 56-60 Cruiser featured a cat-and-mouse battle between Nanaimo’s Rob Dodds and Washington’s Lesli Sanders. Sanders would often get the holeshot but in the end, Dodds would overtake the craft veteran for the win. Chalk up three wins for Dodds, which greatly improved his odds at a top NAG plate this year.
riders race class and Superclass and Victoria’s Graeme Campbell managed a second in class. Evan Kapenen (812) stuck to class this time but both would still end up chasing Lucas Zhou (1) around throughout the weekend.
In the trenches of the Novice ranks, there are often small victories that are only noticed by the rider or family and friends. And every once in a while, something bigger happens that causes everyone to notice. Eleven-year-old Mabel Berkheimer, of Nanaimo, had the crowds on their feet Sunday when she made the move of the day, passing Alberta’s Beckett Donaldson for the 12 Novice win.
While Zach Frier and Lucas Zhou continued their dual in Superclass, each with two wins on the season, it was Austin Cornbill who is quietly becoming a serious threat in the class. A pair of thirds moved the needle in the standings and the Coal Hills local then beat Zhou in 17-20 expert to kick off the weekend in style. A solid effort before he and Zhou head off to Copenhagen to compete at the World Championships.
Competing for team trophy wins, Coal Hills and North Shore were duking it out at the top with the island crew winning two out of three days. Rift/Tangent, always dominant in the Factory Team chase, now faces strong competition from Dangerboy, who led with Zach Frier’s wins on Days One and Two. Rift/Tangent replied with a win on Sunday, setting up an October Grands showdown.
We could write an entire volume about the number of amazing races in Nanaimo, but we’ll leave you wanting more, because that’s how we all felt as we boarded the ferry for another trip across the water and back to our lives, wives and hives.
One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to head back to Nanaimo to race that sweet track!
Most of the Dangerboy crew are from the Island and with Zach Frier’s wins in Superclass Friday and Saturday, the Dangerboy crew upstaged Rift/Tangent to win the Factory Team Trophy.
Dangerboy’s Zack Frier and Motofill’s Makayla Brosius each padded their leads in Superclass with back-toback wins on
LONG GAME: Friday’s 17-20X main was intense and it was Austin Cornbill (31) who played the long game and eventually blew by Cashton Benge in the rhythm section (leading) to win the main.
SALMO FLOW: It’s always great to see when track operators find time to race. Salmo’s Lyndon Schiewe took a turn in 56 & Over Expert and finished up third on the day.
SUP’N CEDARS: Seven-year-old Tate Cedars won the Fanatic Paddleboard draw on Sunday! Pretty sure his dad, Rich, is even more stoked!

When Midwest racers look back on their favorite BMX summer memories, there’s a good chance a weekend at Rockford BMX comes to mind. With decades of national-level racing under its belt, the Midwest Nationals once again drew top talent from across the region. The 2025 edition brought a fresh mix of returning contenders and hungry newcomers to the gate.
As riders dropped in and defended Rockford’s signature turns, the Pro/Am mains delivered high-intensity battles on both Friday and Saturday. Marshall Gehrke and Taya Boecker set the tone early, each putting down wire-to-wire wins to kick off the weekend. But by Saturday, traveling national riders Ryder Santos and Sadie Herrera had taken over the spotlight. Santos showed off a flawless gate-tofinish run, while Herrera got gritty—shutting down the outside lines through turns one and two, and charging to a $300 win. She backed it up with a dominant Saturday victory in the 17-20x Women class.
While the opening straights brought defense-heavy racing, the back half of the mains featured bold moves and breakout moments. In 10x, Broder “Cash Money” Peterson pulled off a perfect swoop through Bermzilla, making the hard left and slipping into the pocket just in time. With his Team IOWA pride on full display, Peterson’s move sealed the win to start off his weekend. He looked ready to double up on Saturday—until he launched himself into the infield, showing off some impressive “spider monkey” acrobatics instead.
There’s more than one way to win at Rockford—if it’s not the big berm move, it’s the sprint to the stripe. In 15-16x Girls, frontrunners Lola Jonjevic and Kenadie Neelan went head-to-head across three days. Jonjevic kicked things off with a Friday win in her first weekend back from injury, but Neelan clawed back with a Saturday surge, using a late-race sprint to steal the win.
That same last-straight drama played out in 21-25x, where Rockford local Julian Basaj took on Factory Ssquared teammate Dante Casanova. Casanova has long been the man to beat in the class—but Basaj, newly aged into the group, wasn’t fazed. After leading Friday’s main and laughing his way across the line in a near miss, he regrouped and silenced the heckles with back-to-back wins on Saturday and Sunday.
STRETCHING SKILLS: Cooper Kedrowski and Hudson Murphy stretch out their manual down the front straight.
SWEPT AWAY: He’s got the last plate in the national bundle but Andrew Herrera shot out of the pack to win all three days picking up valuable points towards a low plate in the stack.

Arace weekend you’ll never want to miss again. The inaugural Mt. Rushmore Nationals rolled into Rapid City BMX and left behind more than just tire tracks, it delivered a weekend of unforgettable memories throughout the Black Hills. With stunning sights, bar-to-bar battles, and a special visit from SportsCenter’s 50 in 50, the event proved to be the perfect debut for Rapid City on the national stage.
The weekend kicked off hot, with Kendall Ehlen and Nate Loy taking home Friday night Pro/Am victories. SYNDYT/LSG’s Loy went on to dominate, sweeping the Pro/Am with another win Saturday and adding a clean sweep in 17-20x to cap off a perfect weekend. Kira Boustead took the reins in the Women’s Pro/Am on Saturday, showcasing her NorCal speed en route to her own trio of wins in 17-20x Women.
From three-packs to six-packs, Josh Linares stayed busy in 9-10 Open and 10x, delivering heater laps all weekend long. In fierce battles against Mason Biaggi and Lincoln Schuman, Linares kept the pace high—and the style higher—launching into the second straight during practice to impress the crowd and the cameras alike.
In the high-stakes world of 15x, action was nonstop from Friday motos to Sunday mains. But it was Friday night’s final that delivered the weekend’s move to remember. With Kaiden Ireland out front and holding the inside, Eian Gibson of Answer Factory bided his time. As they charged into turn two, Gibson, wide on the outside, carved down low and used the flat exit to sling past Ireland and slam the door shut for the win. Ireland, repping Albe’s, didn’t stay down long,
bouncing back Saturday to claim his tenth win of the season before heading off for international competition.
As the dust settled on an unfor gettable debut, the Mt. Rushmore Nationals proved that Rapid City BMX is more than ready to be a staple stop on the USA BMX National circuit. From local pride to national-level talent, the energy, competition, and hospitality left racers and fans already counting down the days until the next return to the Black Hills. If this was the first chapter, the future of Rapid City Nationals is looking legendary.
ARMORED UP: Elbows about to bump and eyes on the prize, Lucas Francis and Billy Neuleib put their body suits to the test in South Dakota.
50 in 50: The racing action got an exciting addition to the weekend with Shae Cornette and SportsCenter joining the fun, featuring a group of excited racers.

Are YOU tired of looking fast but not stylish? Do you hit the gate thinking, ‘Man, I wish my kit matched my style’? Well, buckle up—err, clip in—because we’ve got the ultimate guide to turning heads on and off the track. From the track to the gram, upgrade your style on two wheels.
A consistent line through a pack of doubles or rhythm section can be the difference. Simple or flashy if you can dial in your preferred line +10 style points.
Stuck on what to do in the air? Push ‘em Forward. Whether it’s one side or the whole thing, push your bars toward your landing to show bike control for the camera. Want to take it to the next level? Sink your butt and side saddle your ride for the extra style points.
Take your manuals to the next level by picking up that back wheel. A quick explosion at the start of what would be a normal manual can elevate your lines and style points around the track.
Do your whips and one handers look stiff and awkward? Slow down your movement in the air to extend your style to the next level. No one ones a split second whip, show ‘em your spokes for as long as possible.
From choosing colors in your kit to bike movement in the air sometimes less is way more. Focus on a clean look and smooth backsides first, then add a bit of flair.
Don’t be the brand mismatcher. Have a Fly Helmet? Rock the Fly kit. Have an Answer stem? Rock some Answer bars. Consistency through your race day set up.
For speed and style get as low as you can. Sinking into your frame can help you get your pedals around faster and give you that racer look at the back half of your tap manuals.

Give me 10 tips to be a more stylish BMX Racers
1. Coordinate Your Kit
Pick a jersey, pants, and gloves that complement each other instead of clashing. Bold colors or clean, simple designs always stand out.
2. Custom Helmet Design
A fresh paint job or unique graphic wrap on your helmet instantly sets you apart and makes your style memorable.
3. Match Bike & Gear Accents
Add small details—like grips, pedals, or spoke hubs—that match or contrast with your race kit colors for a polished look.
4. Keep It Clean
A spotless bike, polished frame, and fresh gear always look faster. Mud is fine after motos—but lining up clean shows pride in your setup.
5. Gloves & Goggles Pop
Bright gloves or mirrored goggles can add that extra flair without overwhelming your kit.
6. Subtle Branding
If you’re repping a team or sponsor, place logos in balanced spots. A clean, pro look beats being a rolling billboard.
7. Signature Detail
Have a trademark look—like neon socks, custom number plates, or a specific colorway—that fans and racers recognize.
8. Confidence on the Gate
Style isn’t just what you wear—it’s how you carry yourself. Line up tall, focused, and calm. Confidence is stylish.
9. Smooth Riding Style
Nothing looks better than clean manuals, crisp jumps, and flow. Riding smooth is always more stylish than riding wild.
10. Less Is More
Avoid overdoing it with too many colors, stickers, or gear mismatches. The pros keep it sharp, simple, and consistent. To

This past Fourth of July weekend, the red, white, and blue flew proudly over South Park BMX as hundreds of BMX families from across the coun try rolled into Pennsylvania for the 2025 Stars and Stripes Nationals. With fresh upgrades to the iconic starting hill and newly revamped staging areas, the track was primed for a weekend of blistering laps and patriotic energy. From firsttime national racers to seasoned pros, South Park deliv ered a star-spangled celebration of BMX racing at its finest. The key to victory often came down to the backside, mak ing the second and third straights a battleground for both locals and traveling challengers. That intensity kicked off rig from the start with the Pro/Am duels between local rookie pro Gavin Stazetski and one of the USA BMX Pro Series’ most improved riders, Jordan Callum. Stazetski brought his lightning gates and unmistakable South Park style to the home track, but Callum’s Mongoose-powered speed kept him honest. The two split wins and payouts on Friday and Saturday, setting the stage for their amateur teammates on the BlackCrown and Mongoose squads to carry the rivalry forward.
That momentum carried into 16x, where Gavin Menditto and Mason Hayes charged hard against some of the fastest 16-year-olds in BMX. Mario Brattoli and Ozzie Rowe threw themselves into the mix, keeping the top spots in constant contention. A clean run through the pro set was the difference-maker, with the entire rack edging right to launch into the third turn. LSG/SYNDYT’s Rowe walked away with two class wins, while Daylight’s Brattoli took the third. Menditto and Hayes rounded out the podium positions, adding valuable racecraft to their arsenals.
The 16-year-olds proved the pro-set “cheat code” worked at any age, and 51-55x racer Mike Lausman took note—turning back-toback days of third-straight passes into wins. Sporting his signature

race jeans, Lausman reeled in North Carolina’s Justin Thompson by taking the big side and putting his Canopy Clothing colors on top. From the first gate drop to the last finish line celebration, the 2025 Stars and Stripes Nationals lived up to its name—blending high-speed racing with a true Fourth of July spirit. South Park BMX once again proved why it’s a cornerstone of the national circuit, offering a track that rewards skill, strategy, and guts. With fireworks in the sky and on the straights, this holiday weekend will be remembered as one where champions were made, rivalries were fueled, and the red, white, and blue shined brightest over BMX.

Under a bright Minnesota summer sky, the 2025 Land O’ Lakes Nationals roared to life, marking the highly anticipated return of the USA BMX Pro Series to the North Star State. Hundreds of BMX families filled the pits and packed the sidelines, bringing an electric energy to the weekend. The racing didn’t disappoint—fans witnessed not just fierce battles, but the crowning of two brand-new winners in the Men Pro ranks, adding fresh names to the sport’s elite roster. From hometown cheers to championship dreams, Minnesota delivered a Nationals weekend to remember.
Consistency was the name of the game across most pro classes this past weekend, as familiar faces once again stood tall on the podium. In the ABA Futures ranks, rising stars Addison Thompson and Ethan Popovich continued their dominant form, leaving little doubt about who currently sets the pace for BMX’s next generation. Over in Vet Pro, Jeff Upshaw showed no signs of slowing down, delivering a flawless weekend sweep that reminded everyone why he remains one of the most respected riders in the class.
The Women Pro category saw Molly Simpson in complete control, as she put together a string of commanding laps that carried her to back-to-back wins. Her ability to find smooth lines under pressure once again proved unmatched.
But while most classes stuck to the script, the Men Pro division told a very different story. With Cam Wood battling uncharacteristic mistakes, the door swung wide open for two fresh faces to seize their moment in the spotlight. For a field as deep and competitive as Men Pro, new winners are rare, but this weekend delivered just that—injecting fresh energy into the season and keeping the chase for supremacy as unpredictable as ever.
On Friday, the win traveled overseas as Switzerland’s Simon Mar-
quart returned to the top step of the USA BMX Pro Series for the first time in 2025. But Saturday belonged to the red, white, and blue—painted with a splash of Pittsburgh Steelers yellow, as Cam Bramer clawed his way to his firstever Men Pro victory in a chaotic main event.
The stage was set early when Bramer powered through his semi, taking the win and fueling the adrenaline for the lap that would reignite his career. Charging down the first straight in Saturday’s main, he quickly found himself in podium contention.
Joshua Jolly and Cam Wood entered the first turn ahead, but an overcooked carve from Wood sent both front runners off pace, blow ing the race wide open. That’s when the battle truly began. Kam Larson, Zach VanKammen, Drew Polk, and Bramer thundered into the second straight, each with desperation in their eyes. Still on the hunt, Bramer floated the first pro sets, used backside, and carved the inside line to edge out Polk for the
lead. Two straights later, clean and fast, he crossed the line, and the crowd LOST IT.
What followed was pure Steel City magic. Fans poured to the fence, friends mobbed him at the finish, but it was the Bramer family hug that mattered most. With Jim and Rhonda beaming trackside, their son’s milestone moment became a shared triumph. From crashing in warm-up to climbing to the top step of the Men Pro podium, it was nothing short of a Cinderella story for Pittsburgh-raised Cam Bramer.
Wrapping up the Pro classes and celebrating the next generation eager to join their ranks, the Land O’ Lakes Nationals delivered no shortage of talent. Minnesota’s hometown hotshots defended their turf against a field of traveling friends, rivals, and competitors from across the nation, with fast laps and fierce battles closing out the final day of racing.
In 11 Cruiser, Marshall Falkowski of Somerset, WI, reeled in the competition with back-to-back moves through turns two and three. “The Monster” spoiled Alexander Martin’s bid for a sweep, but with plenty
THE FUTURES: Lily Ashley, Kendall Ehlen, Taya Boecker, and Savanna Stokes battle for the podium in ABA Futures Women.
of season left, their rivalry is only just heating up.
And while Pineview Park BMX, the old stomping grounds of Alise Willoughby, was a little ways away, “The Beast” was still on top. Gia “The Beast” Kinsella blasted out of lane seven in the 12 Expert Girls main, leading the charge from the first straight. With Illinois’ Rylan Shanahan glued to her back wheel, Kinsella shut down a turn-three challenge and powered to the stripe for the win.
From Pro triumphs to youth breakthroughs, the 2025 Land O’ Lakes Nationals had it all: unforgettable first wins, rivalries renewed, and hometown heroes rising to the occasion. Under the Minnesota sun, fans were treated to the full spectrum of BMX racing: the speed, the strategy, the chaos, and the magic. As the dust settles on this stop of the USA BMX Pro Series, one thing is sure; the season is wide open, and if the Land O’ Lakes Nationals are any indication, the best is yet to come.
For the Fans: Face to face time with the pros before they kick off their race weekend.
BRAMER ON THE POINT: Before the chaotic main that brought him his first win, Cam Bramer led a few laps through the Holeshot.
Before the blast: The Crow River first turn was a tricky one so when Rayne Lankford and Simon Marquart entered together we knew only one would make it out.

SportsCenter’s 50 States in 50 Days tour rolled into South Dakota with a stop at the USA BMX Mt. Rushmore Nationals, and the Black Hills provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable weekend of racing. Riders from across the country converged on the track, bringing with them the speed, style, and spirit that define BMX. Families lined the fences and filled the pits,
the fierce battles on the track but also the unique culture surrounding the sport. From the youngest novices taking on their first big national to seasoned pros showcasing explosive power down the first straight, the Mt. Rushmore Nationals delivered racing that lived up to the monumental name. ESPN’s crew captured it all—riders pushing limits, fans waving state and team
tition.
By the time the checkered flags dropped, South Dakota had taken center stage in SportsCenter’s coast-to-coast journey. With worldclass racing set against one of America’s most iconic landmarks, the Mt. Rushmore Nationals proved the perfect showcase for BMX’s energy, dedication, and family-driven passion.
SHOOTING THE CHUTE: While the fun on the track is seen to the masses the fun in the chutes is a rider only sanctuary full of laughs and preparations.

At the foot of the majestic Rocky Mountains, the USA BMX Mile High Nationals rolled into Mile High BMX, bringing with it the energy and excitement of a fresh stop on the National Series. Families from every corner of the country filled the pits, setting up tents, bikes, and team colors as they prepared for a weekend of racing at altitude. The Colorado air may have been thin, but the racing was anything but. This long, demanding track tested every rider’s limits, rewarding not just raw power, but also stamina and strategy. From young amateurs chasing their first national win to seasoned Experts fine-tuning before the World Championships, every lap at Mile High BMX was a grind of endurance, grit, and the will to conquer.
The track’s design created passing opportunities everywhere, and in 13-14 Girls Cruiser, fans were treated to one of the best Friday battles. Nebraska’s Kate Hansen surged to an early lead, but Ruby Iverson wasn’t about to let her ride away. Into the third turn, Iverson dove for the pass, and the two crossed lines in a bar-to-bar sprint to the finish. Hansen held firm and stretched across the line to take the win, her first of what would become a three-win sweep in the class.
By Friday night, the weather decided to get in on the action. As wind kicked up dust, riders in the Expert classes handled the first turn with extra caution to keep it clean through their main events. But the drama peaked in 15-16x Girls, where a gate malfunction forced a rerun as the final race of the day. With rain falling and the gate finally dropping, Tatumn Huffman blasted out front with Kenadie Neelan locked on her wheel. With one turn to go, Neelan saw an opening, powered through, and stole
BENGE IS BACK: After a hiatus from the National tour, Cashton Benge returned in a big way with three wins in 17-20x.

the win—starting her three-forthree weekend in Colorado. Hansen and Neelan weren’t the only riders to leave Denver with a sweep. Local favorite Cashton Benge brought Fort Collins firepower back to the series, dominating the 17-20x class from start to finish. After some time away, Benge’s return was nothing short of commanding, netting him not only a perfect weekend but also valuable points toward his National ranking.
With dramatic weather, bar-to-bar battles, and a track that demanded everything riders had, the Mile High Nationals lived up to its name— pushing BMX racing to new heights. From first-time national winners, to local heroes making big statements, the weekend proved that at Mile High BMX, nothing comes easy, but every victory feels that much sweeter against the backdrop of the Rockies.
Riders Ready: Lined up and ready to snap on top of the Mile High Mountain.

Deep in the heart of Wisconsin, the unmistakable water tower rises above the trees as a new landmark takes center stage, Central Wisconsin BMX. Families from across the nation packed in tight around the track, filling the pits and sidelines with team colors, team tents, and plenty of hometown pride. At the core of it all, the venue’s signature sunken U-in-a-U layout provided the perfect stage for fast, technical, and unforgettable racing as the USA BMX Badger State Nationals made their highly anticipated return.
The weekend’s high-speed action kicked off with the Pro/ Am classes, where Taya Boecker and Rayne Lankford led the way and left Wisconsin Rapids with a little extra cash in their pockets. Boecker had no easy path to the podium, with Kaylie Cerasa and Sam Miller hot on her heels and pushing her all the way down the front straight. Once the ladies had settled their podium spots, the Men’s gate loaded up, Lankford reigning as the one to beat, and his Aker Brand buddy, Ethan Popovich, never leaving his side. The two training partners put on a clinic, with Popovich forcing Lankford to defend every inch of the track.
With pride on the line for some and National points on the line for others, the Title classes wasted no time putting on a show. Central Wisconsin’s U-in-a-U design makes the third turn a true game changer, and Saturday’s 13 Cruiser final proved it. Calen Pyper led the pack from the start, but when he left the door open around the outside, Jacob Theisen and his Ameriprise ride cut low and powered through, stealing the win. The Pyper family didn’t leave empty-handed, though, Calen scored a Friday Cruiser/Class double, while
and Camron Pyper go bar to bar down the first straight for a NAG plate battle.
OVER THE HUMP: Tucker Cassidy and Weston Hicks get over the top into turn one for a fast 9x battle.
older brother Camron racked up the 15 Cruiser wins and added a few podiums in 15x.
Before diving into one of the weekend’s fan-favorite races, the spotlight belonged to the little ones. The 5 & Under Novice class delivered plenty of awws and ohs from the crowd as a full rack of tiny legs powered their way around the track. Aayla Triplett owned the top spot on Friday and Saturday, but it was Huntleigh Van Vickle who closed out the weekend with the big win in the little-legged showdown.
From future stars to hometown heroes, the Wisconsin crowd had plenty to cheer for. Local riders Rowyn Fischer, Trinadee Stoflet, and Talynn Dickey kept the hardware close to home and grabbed wins at the Badger State Nationals.
impactful: While we’ll miss the w1 on Isabella Smith’s plate she rocked the NAT 30 with authority around Central Wisconsin Rapids BMX.
“A” really fast LOCAL: Local girl Rowyn Fischer lit up the track and showed her 9x girl competitors the fast way around the track.
Snappers: Gate starts get better and better and by the time 17-20x loads into the gate the form and time is near perfection. perfect for a gateside photographer.
Kopetski power: 12x Girls may not have had the rider count but Cali Kopetski had all the power with a fast battle around the track with Peyton Bruney.

Rolling
into Pottstown, Pennsylvania, the 2025 USA BMX Quaker State Nationals brought the Northeast’s fastest and most stylish racers together for a weekend packed with energy, speed, and flair. With short corners that kept riders guessing and straightaways that begged for big moves, the track struck just the right balance of challenge and fun. From hometown heroes to traveling teams, everyone came ready to chase glory—and maybe a little bit of bragging rights—at the Quaker State showdown.
Speeds were high down the straights, but with every run came the constant reminder to keep a finger on the brakes for those quick, tight turns. Taylor Koll of the 16x class found that out the hard way in his Friday main. After getting sidesaddled into the first corner, Koll managed to stay upright but couldn’t avoid drifting up top. Off balance and with no chance to get on the brakes, he went up and over in spectacular fashion. While Koll admired the landscaping behind turn one, Mario Brattoli stole the spotlight with two wins across the weekend—though Aiden Ragle had the last laugh on Sunday, charging to a wire-to-wire victory.
Speaking of wire-to-wire wins, the 15-16x Girls class saw total domination from Lily Sutherland, who flew the Answer BMX colors out front every lap. With the pack stacked seven wide over the first jump, Sutherland stood out from the start, grabbing the holeshot and never once looking back.
From wild wrecks to runaway wins, the weekend had
Corner One Chaos: 17-20x is used to chaos and the Quaker State Nationals had plenty on the exit of turn one.
it all, including a few head-scratching moments. Saturday’s 17-20 Intermediate class turned into an unexpected fashion show when BMX met business casual. Flynn Roultone was on fire out front, but all eyes drifted back a few spots to Brenton Caprio, who lined up with suspenders strapped over his shoulders. Riding loose on a trail bike–suspender combo, Caprio carved his own lines down the third straight and still managed to boost in podium contention. Stylish? Questionable. Entertaining? Absolutely.
From big wins to big spills—and even bigger personalities—the Quaker State Nationals had a little bit of everything. Pottstown’s short, snappy track delivered action at every turn, keeping fans on their feet and riders on the edge. Whether it was domination from the front, wild saves in the corners, or suspenders stealing the spotlight, the weekend proved once again that USA BMX racing is never short on excitement.
Celebration Station: The riders are stoked across the line but friends and fans are often times even more excited to see hard work pay off.

Tucked on the outskirts of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Winnebagoland BMX is more than just a track, it’s a grassroots movement decades in the making. What began in 1983 as a passion project by the Chartwright family, has grown into a vibrant hub for BMX racing, fueled by community spirit and a shared vision: To grow the sport at the local level and inspire the next generation of riders. Now in their second year as the Track Operators are Kris and Liz Weborg. For Kris, BMX is a lifelong passion. He began racing in 1989 and competed at Winnebagoland’s original location before the track moved to its current site. Climbing the ranks to AA Pro, Kris has always called this track home, just like his parents, Tom and Sandy Weborg, who were early volunteers. With deep roots in the sport, Kris and Liz stepped into leadership roles after their three sons Andrew, Matthew, and James fell in love with racing. Together, the Weborgs have brought fresh energy and a long-term vision focused on elevating every aspect of the Winnebagoland BMX experience. They aren’t doing it alone.
Winnebagoland thrives thanks to a passionate volunteer board, each member playing a key role:
Beth Brewer – President, Treasurer, Registration and Head Scorer
Katie Keller – Secretary and Lead in Concessions
Laura Bergin – Lawn Care, Registration, Scoring and Maintenance
Sarah Schwartz – Sponsorships and Concessions
Justin Schwartz – Gate Operator and Kris’s Right-Hand Man
Dan Crain – BMX League and Grounds Support
Foster Chadek – Announcer and Grounds Support
Troy Kasper – Former Track Operator and Grounds Support
In early 2025, the Weborgs attended Summit 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, seeking ways to energize their track and grow community engagement. Liz focused on outreach and social media, and teamed up with Coach Aiden Brewer to launch Winnebagoland’s first-ever BMX Racing League—a beginner-friendly program designed to welcome new families into the sport. One of those families was the Kositzkes. Jasper Kositzke joined the inaugural session in May, quickly gaining confidence and a love for BMX. By the end of the program, he entered his first open race—and was hooked. His siblings soon joined, and the Kositzkes became regulars at the track.
Jasper set his sights on racing beyond home turf. On June 21, he took first place in the 6 Novice class at the Central Wisconsin State Qualifier in Wisconsin Rapids, then repeated the win at his home track’s qualifier in July. “This is why we do what we do,” said Liz. “BMX is about community, belonging, and giving families the tools to succeed in the sport.” Jasper later earned a fourth place trophy at the Badger State Nationals and now has his eyes on upcoming qualifiers at Hodag BMX and Winnebagoland before the State Finals in September.

“Live timing on the track has elevated my personal training and racing over the years. It provides insight and gives you real time data to track, allowing you to make informed decisions in training and now on race day. Bringing in Sqorz timing to USA BMX events will be both fun and functional for racers to elevate their performance.”

With only a few exceptions, gone are the days when a local track operator could simply request three acres in the back of a park and—with the help of USA BMX—start carving out a race track. Today, most municipalities work under five- and ten-year master plans that require far more than a napkin sketch of a dream layout. Cities now call for licensed landscape architects and engineers to produce detailed topographic maps, grading and drainage plans, environmental impact assessments, erosion control measures, compaction reports, and more.
That said, opportunities for grassroots-style builds still exist—and we continue to support as many of them as possible. In fact, in the past four years, USA BMX has helped open four new community-driven tracks in La Jara, CO; Monroe, PA; Prescott Valley, AZ; and Pocatello, ID.
The launch of ABA Ethos, our in-house architecture and construction firm, has elevated our ability to partner with cities on a whole new level. By working within their processes and on their terms, we’ve not only secured approval for more facilities, but we’ve also gained full city support in the process. Currently, 11 new facilities are under development contracts.
Yes, these projects take longer to bring to life compared to grassroots tracks. But those years of planning, engineering, and city approval ultimately lead to turn-key facilities that are lower maintenance, professionally designed, and fully backed by the communities they serve.
“The momentum over the past two years of ABA- Ethos has continued to gain by leaps and bounds as cities and parks departments across the country have launched initiatives to engage and activate BMXracing, freestyleandthe USA BMX Foundation within their communities.
The scope of ABA-Ethos’s work is also expanding picking up other complimentary sports programmingsuchasroad,mountain-bike, triathlon, track, rodeo, and water sports. These larger scale visions include additional amenitiessuchassports/kinesiology centers, retail, lodging, parking, and multi-use event centers.”

This summer, the USA BMX Foundation successfully concluded another season of exciting, educational, and action-packed camps at the Hardesty National BMX Stadium in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over the course of the summer, hundreds of kids from across the region experienced the thrill of BMX riding while diving into hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning.
Campers spent their mornings on the track, developing bike skills, building confidence, and learning the importance of health and wellness through physical activity. Afternoons were dedicated to engaging STEAM lessons, where students explored the science and engineering behind BMX racing, designed their own tracks, and conducted experiments that blended education with fun.
The summer also featured special partnerships with local organizations, including The Opportunity Project’s “Friday Funday” initiative, allowing Tulsa Public School students free access to the unique blend of athletics and academics the Foundation provides. The result? Smiling faces, new friendships, and a stronger connection between youth and the sport of BMX. The USA BMX Foundation is already looking forward to welcoming riders back for spring break and summer camps in 2026, continuing its mission to inspire and educate through the power of BMX.

1. August 1 was the district transfer cutoff.
2. August marks the beginning of the finals for the State/Provincial Series.
3. Preparation for Gold Cup Finals.
4. Cutoff for single point races for an alternate ROC qualification is Sept 15.
5. ROC invites are sent via email…make sure that we have a good email address for you on your membership record!!!
Here are a few reminders that will make the next 2 months less stressful:
• The State/Provincial Pre-Race does NOT count as a qualifier.
• Bonus points have already been added into your score prior to your final.
• The points for the State/Provincial final are tripled.
• Novice and Intermediate riders are plated together for State/ Provincial.
• The website shows the riders age at their respective State/ Provincial Final.
• Gold Cup bonus points cutoff was August 15.
• The website shows the riders age at their respective Gold Cup Final.
• Remember, to qualify for a Gold Cup Award, you need two (2) qualifiers in the same region as the Gold Cup Final.
• As an alternate way to qualify for ROC, you must have eight (8) single point races done by September 15, and you cannot count class and cruiser together. If the races dated August 1 or prior were done in your state, you will earn points that will count towards your state total.
WHEW, that is it for this month… be safe and HAVE FUN!!!

From the moment she first rolled out of the gate at five years old in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Payton Ridenour carried a blend of speed, focus, and pure love for BMX that few riders ever find. Two decades later, that natural spark has been sharpened into one of the sport’s most exciting elite talents. Known to fans and teammates simply as “P-Nut,” Ridenour has carved her way from national amateur dominance to World Cup podiums and an Olympic debut—all before her 22nd birthday. What sets Ridenour apart isn’t just results, it’s her style of racing. She brings a calculated sharpness through technical tracks, pairing quick gate snaps with a fluidity in rhythm sections that makes her look effortless. It’s a skillset forged over years of USA BMX National wins, but perfected against the world’s best in Big hill competition. When she powered to a World Cup silver in Bogotá to secure her Olympic berth, it wasn’t just a breakthrough moment—it was confirmation that her progression was no accident. The Tokyo Games saw Ridenour line up as Team USA’s youngest
BMX competitor, and though she didn’t come home with a medal, she came home with experience that can’t be coached. Since then, she’s leaned into the grind of elite racing, relocating her base to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to train daily at the USA BMX National headquarters. The move reflects her professional edge: every session is an opportunity to refine the starts, the cornering, the split-second decisions that separate good riders from great ones. Her progression isn’t confined to the track. In 2019, she claimed the UCI Red Bull Pump Track World Championship, showcasing her versatility and bike handling skills outside the BMX gate. She’s also authored A to Z: BMX Style, a children’s book that lets her share the sport with the next generation—a glimpse of her personality beyond the pro circuit. With powerhouse sponsors like Unionsquare, FLY Racing, WD-40, and Shimano in her corner, Ridenour has the backing and the talent to keep climbing. More importantly, she has the hunger. Every lap, every gate, every jump is a step toward being not just one of the best in America, but one of the best in the world.
Payton “P-Nut” Ridenour has already proven she can win on any stage. The next chapter is about showing just how far her precision, power, and progression can take her.
