STAFF REPORT
elcome to our election guide and coverage for the 2023 Pueblo ballot. We sat down with the mayoral candidates and asked them: What do you want to see Pueblo look like at the end of your term? How would you address crime as mayor? What would you do to address affordable housing? How would you address homelessness as mayor? What’s one issue you want to dig deeper into? What makes Pueblo special? Listen to their responses now on your podcast platform by looking up “Voices of Pueblo” by the Pueblo Star Journal. We are on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and more! In this edition we have some of the candidates’ responses documented. Also, on page 15 we have built an election guide. Feel free to remove the guide from the paper and take it on its own. It features simple explanations of the ballot measures and lists of the candidates. We also highlight your rights as a voter and all the things you need to know to vote. Our campaign is called Your Voice. Your Vote. The Nov. 7 election is a chance to make your voice heard. The Pueblo Star Journal is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization and does not support or oppose any political candidate or party.
