The main objective of this titling work was to analyze the necessary amount of green spaces in the city of Santo Domingo de los Colorados for the formulation of green infrastructure, due to the fact that the tourism sector does not have an evident development, being necessary to propose new projects to a sustainability. The research was carried out under a qualitative approach, since it is intended to describe the realities of the evaluated parks and that have been taken into account under the theoretical concepts of green infrastructure, helped under the observation technique, where attention was paid to details of the essential particularities of green spaces, in addition to using instruments such as cards for their evaluation, taking as a sample the existing vegetation cover in the main parks of the city, analyzed through the description and criteria of the researcher. The results obtained made it clear that the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Santo Domingo de los Colorados does not have an inventory of green spaces and that its quantity is not adequate under what is recommended by the WHO, since Santo Domingo de los Colorados has an index of 4.4 m2 per inhabitant compared to the exposed standard of 9 m2.
