his BIO. Dr. Kenny Jones, “The Comeback Kid” is an international speaker and author of the Amazon International Best Selling Book, Comeback Season, the Untapped Art of Mastering Your Resilience. He is also the creator of the #WriteDisDown movement designed to equip the masses with quick gems of thought and prompted the release of his 2nd book, Write Dis Down, Daily Reminders to live by and luxury candle line, the #WriteDisDown Home Collection that features scents like centered on the Black experience.

Dr. Jones empowers DOERS to embrace their personal stories of triumph and tragedy as the core of their success.

He is the creator of "The Comeback Kids”...a proprietary system that has now produced 25 cohorts Black Amazon International Best Selling Authors. Writers who, like him, were told that their stories didn’t matter or their biggest mistake was too great. Dr Kenny has delivered numerous keynotes across the country about resilience and led over 120 aspiring Black authors to achieving their Best Selling dreams. Outside of his personal author work, Dr. Jones is also an expert on adult learners and career access, earning his doctorate degree from Drexel University. His dissertation, "Broken Chains: Nontraditional Aged Black Men Experiences during the College Admissions Process", has helped him break into scholarly writing as well. He has served on numerous journal review boards, including Drexel University’s Emerging Voices in Education Journal and the Journal of African American males in education out of Howard University.

Currently, Dr. Ken is head of enrollment for Year Up (Philadelphia), a Barack Obama endorsed organization that exists to close the opportunity divide between non-traditional learners and career access. His books and writing been featured by Drexel University’s School of Education, South University, and the University of Kansas’ medical school. Dr. Jones' work is rooted in seeing the power in turning what was designed to destroy you, into something that elevates you.

She was inspired to begin writing her debut novel "Queen" after her unforgettable experience with Hurricane Katrina. When she isn't writing, she can be found wandering through nature or journaling at a coffee shop. She is actively working on her next literary project and hopes to release it soon.

Yolanda Brathwaite is the Founder and Executive Director of Grown Girls NYC, Inc. She started this organization to create a network of sisters that were committed to supporting and empowering women to achieve their fullest potential.

Daughter of Reverend Paul Russell Sr. and Marcel Russell. She is the sister of Jennifer Russell Baker, Paul Russell Jr., and LaShonda Guerrero. Monika was born November 1983 in Chattahoochee Georgia. She began writing as a young teen and never stopped. She is the mother of five beautiful children.

Two in which became hers after marrying her loving husband Terence Baker Sr. from St. Louis Missouri. Monika wears many hats. Loving wife, Author, Poet, Licensed cosmetologist, Educator, Reigning Miss Petite Converse, and her favorite most fulfilling job is being a mother. Oldest child Terence Baker Jr., followed by siblings Shantravia Russell, Christopher Baker, Rayne Russell-Fields, and youngest Ta’Liyah Baker.

Monika alongside her husband also leads the outreach ministries at their home church located in San Antonio, Tx. Favorite quote “Poetry is My Therapy” as she continues to share her life and experiences through her poetry.

Monika is CEO and Founder of J’Shonik’s Poetry Corner found on Facebook. Where the soul is heard, and lovely vibes released. The corner was created to allow other people to share their stories and get a sense of relief in knowing they were not alone by reading and hearing from other poets like themselves. It later added live podcast so that poets could also interact, ask questions, receive helpful resources, hear live spoken word, and suggest topics to hear responses from real life everyday people.
