{membership has its benefits} An HSMP Alumni Society membership entitles you to numerous networking opportunities, event discounts, access to the HSMP alumni directory and of course, the opportunity to purchase Ohio State football tickets! A one year HSMP alumni society membership is $45 and runs from October 1 through September 30. Membership dues are pro-rated based on when you purchase your membership. Join the HSMP Alumni Society. Alumni Services Committee The Alumni Services Committee conducts an annual alumni survey, a Salary Survey every three years, and sends out quarterly promotional postcards to HSMP alumni. The Committee also organizes community service activities for alumni and students to participate in. The Chairperson shall be appointed to a two-year term by the President of the Society and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms. Alumni Services Committee members shall be appointed to a one-year term by the President from the active membership of the Society. Contact: Kyle Dorsey: kyle.dorsey@duke.edu Development Committee Members of the Development Committee are responsible for assisting with personal calls and/or emails asking for support for current fundraising campaigns; acting as a class representative to garner support for fundraising campaigns; giving feedback on College of Public Health development strategies and marketing; and assisting the chair(s) of the Development Committee with any immediate action items. The Development Committee Chairperson shall be appointed to a two-year term by the president of the Society and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms. Development Committee members shall be appointed to a one-year term by the president from the active membership of the Society. The Chairperson shall also serve as a member of the Nominating Committee. Contact: Mike D’Eramo: deramoM@advisory.com Diversity Committee The Diversity Committee is responsible for the development of activities and programs to examine and advise on issues affecting diversity from an Alumni Society perspective. The Committee works to foster diversity in an environment of appreciation and respect for difference and shall annually host a Diversity Breakfast to correspond with the Management Institute. The Chairperson shall be appointed to a two-year term by the president of the Society and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms. Diversity Committee members shall be appointed to a one-year term by the president from the active membership of the Society. Contact: Manju Woods: oommen25@hotmail.com Management Institute Committee The Management Institute Committee is responsible for planning an educational session typically held in the fall. A member in good standing shall be appointed to a two-year term by the president of the Society serving one year as co-chair and the second year as the primary lead for organizing this event. A committee shall be appointed to develop objectives, secure speakers and a meeting location, develop publications related to the event and any other tasks affiliated with this meeting. Membership Committee The Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining a roster reflecting the status of membership for the Society, assisting in the collection of dues, and assisting the president in identifying candidates to serve on standing and ad hoc committees. The committee also develops and executes strategies to retain and increase membership. The Chairperson shall also serve as a member of the Nominating Committee. The Membership Committee Chairperson shall be appointed to a two-year term by the President of the Society and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms. Membership Committee members shall be appointed to a one-year term by the president from the active membership of the Society. The Chairperson shall also serve as a member of the Nominating Committee. Contact: Lawrence Baylis: Lawrence.Baylis@osumc.edu Program Advisory Committee The Program Advisory Committee shall consist of four members appointed to a one-year term by the President from the Active membership of the Society. The Chairperson shall be appointed to a two-year term by the President of the Society and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms. The Committee shall be responsible for providing suggestions and recommendations with regard to the Program’s objectives, curriculum, standards, policies, residency program methodology, and faculty as requested by and in cooperation with the faculty. The Committee through a designated representative shall participate in the Program’s annual curriculum review. The Chairperson shall also serve as a member of the Nominating Committee.
