Sau nhiều ngày vắng bóng bởi lý do bận rộn với bao chương trình sinh hoạt, hôm nay tờ báo Hướng Tâm Lên (HTL) được tái xuất hiện để nối kết với mọi thành phần của Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể. Nhưng sự tái xuất của HTL lần này có một sắc thái và tinh thần khác lạ cách đặc biệt so với các số khác trong quá khứ. Báo HTL lần này được tái xuất hiện ngay vào ngày lễ mừng trọng thể kính Mình Máu Thánh Chúa, ngày 11 tháng 6 năm 2023, và cũng là ngày chiến dịch “Sống Lại Niềm Tin Thánh

và Chầu Thánh Thể để sống lại niềm tin vào Chúa Kitô, là Đấng Thánh và thật sự hiện diện trong hình bánh và rượu trên bàn thờ. Đây là cốt lõi của niềm tin của người Công Giáo. Sự nảy sinh của chiến dịch “Sống Lại Niềm Tin Thánh Thể” là để nhắc nhở mọi người về niềm tin cốt lõi này. Phong Trào TNTT có mối tương quan gì trong chiến dịch quan trọng này? Trước nhất danh xưng TNTT tự gióng lên bản tính nguồn gốc của nó. Nghĩa là người TNTT hằng ngày ý thức và biểu lộ niềm tin này trong cuộc sống mỗi ngày vì đó là linh đạo của Phong Trào TNTT. Chính vì thế khi có dự định phát động chiến dịch này từ năm 2019, Phong Trào TNTT được mời gọi là một trong những người cộng tác chính, đóng vai một người “anh cả” để thúc đẩy và hướng dẫn cho mọi người tham gia đắc lực vào chiến dịch. Vậy câu hỏi kế tiếp là trách nhiệm của người anh cả chúng ta là gì? Có hai việc chính chúng ta cần thực hiện. Thứ nhất, sống kết hợp với Chúa Giêsu Thánh Thể hàng tuần bằng cách rước lễ thiêng liêng ngay cả trong lúc bận rộn làm việc hay học hành để cảm nhận được Chúa đang hiện diện với mình và quyết tâm tham dự một thánh lễ trong ngày

thường trong năm này.

Thứ hai, tham gia tích cực mọi công tác hay chương trình

“Sống Lại Niềm Tin Thánh Thể” ở tại Giáo xứ hay cộng đoàn chúng ta đang sống tùy theo khả năng riêng của mỗi cá nhân. Với hai trách nhiệm nho nhỏ đơn giản này nhưng thực hiện với trái tim to chắc chắn sẽ mang đến một kết quả to lớn là được lớn lên trong tình yêu của Chúa Thánh Thể. Đồng thời, khi thực hiện được hai trách nhiệm trên thì người TNTT đã thực hiện được ngày sống Thánh Thể và sống bốn khẩu hiệu: cầu nguyện, rước lễ, hy sinh, và làm việc tông đồ.

In union with the Catholic Church, the National Executive Committee invites all members to come together as brothers and sisters in Christ for the celebration of Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ this Sunday.

When we think of “coming together”, the image of Christ and His love for us in the Holy Mass comes to mind. As presented in our Wonders of the Mass video series, the Holy Mass is the bridging of the liturgy of the Word and liturgy of the Eucharist, a perfect unity in Christ. The liturgy of the Word nourishes our faith and knowledge of God, and the liturgy of the Eucharist unites us in the Real Presence of Christ. Only through this unity that we can go forth to serve God through our faith in action. As we begin our second year of the Eucharistic Revival movement, year of Parish Revival (June 11, 2023 – July 17, 2024), let us come together and be united with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop to foster Eucharistic devotion within our own parish and strengthen our liturgical life through faithful celebration of the Mass and Adoration.

Reflections for the Feast of Corpus Christi; Three feasts in one

Today, we celebrate the solemn feast of Corpus Christi. It is three feasts in one: the feast of the Eucharistic sacrifice, the feast of the Sacrament of the Eucharist and the feast of the Real Presence of Jesus in this Sacrament. Corpus Christi is a doctrinal feast established for three purposes:

1) to give God collective thanks for Christ’s abiding presence with us in the Eucharist and to honor Him there; 2) to instruct the people in the Mystery, Faith and devotion surrounding the Eucharist, and 3) to teach us to appreciate and make use of the great gift of the Holy Eucharist, both as a Sacrament and as a sacrifice. In the three-year cycle of the Sunday liturgy, there is a different theme each year for this Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. In Cycle A the theme is the Eucharist as our food and drink; in Cycle B the emphasis is on the Eucharist as the sign of the covenant; and in Cycle C the theme focuses on the priesthood of Jesus. Although we celebrate the institution of the Holy Eucharist on Holy Thursday, the Church wants to emphasize its importance by a special feast, formerly called “Corpus Christi.” It was Pope Urban IV who first extended the feast to the universal Church. This is one of the few feasts left in which we observe a procession and a sung “Sequence.”
